FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bar) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins?
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

I have a small issue. I'm working on visibility settings for my petbar. What I like to do is: show the pet bar when I target something and when I'm in combat, else hide it all the time. This works great with
Code:
[combat][target=target,exists]show;hide;[nopet]hide;fade
Now, the only thing that bugs me, is that I get some strange effect when I'm without a pet (flying, dismissed, etc)

It looks like this:

I guess this appers, because I'm also targeting myself.
How can I define the line in a way, that when I'm without a pet it doesn't matter if I'm targeting or not...

I remember seeing some place an option that could make "on down click" use. Is it with bartender4? or am i thinking of another addon?

is there a way to set a bar so that it'll bring up my stealth buttons when i enter shadow dance, then change back again when it's over? ya know, the same behavior that when I enter/leave stealth, except when i gain/lose the shadow dance buff?

I found a solution for the problem with the visibility of the pet bar with help from the WoWHead Forum. The string has to look like this:
Code:
[combat,pet][target=target,exists,pet]show;hide
Works like a charm

Until Blizzard start to recognize presences as stances, Bartender can do little about it ATM.

I love Bartender 4 because of the versatility of the buttons, except that I have a small bug that occurs whenever I log off. Every time I log off a character and log back on my bars get shifted and mashed together in the bottom left hand side of my screen. Don't know whats causing it and I have searched for answers. Anyone got the same problem or a solution?

it might be one of the other addons you're using conflicting with the coding in bartender; there are a large number of them that don't play nice together (i.e. chinchilla and titanpanel, though i've heard they fixed that).

do they reset every time you reload your ui, or is it just purely when you log in or out?

if it's the former, i may be able to help, though it takes forever. get an addon that will let you enable/disable addons in-game, then disable all but bartender and the first addon on the list. then, disable all but bartender and the second, then the third, etcetera etcetera etcetera.

if that doesn't work, then it's beyond my limited scope of expertise.

It happens whenever I log onto a character. Even if I am just switching onto another character it does it.

I have the same issue as yours. I play WoW in Windows mode and everytime I start WoW, it's not automatically maximised (which is another story) and it seems to be the cause of the Bar getting shifted. Are you experiencing the same thing?

Ya, I also play in windowed mode, so I can check my vent and all. Maybe that could be it, I guess I will try it and see if it works in the full screen mode.

Ok, nevermind. It still didn't work, I still had all my bars swayed to the lower left hand side.

I got 2 screens and run my wow in fullscreen windowmode and never had this problem, but I never tab WoW down, it might be that is the issue ...

why it happens? might be that if you run different resolutions in wow and windows it may effect the game ...

Thanks for the input, but I just checked and I'm running at the same resolution in WoW that I am on windows. I've been checking both this forum and wowace's forums but to no avail I've got nothing. It's some weird anomoly.

Sorry for interfering with your holydays, but where's "Out of range" indicator went?
It was small colored dot over icon if I do not have hotkey assigned, now they are only on the Bar1, but not on any other bar... Button Color indicator does work, however it limiting my choices to only one indication at a time, which I dislike.

it could be that when you tab it down/minimize it it get pushed down, but that should/would happen to everyone that do that then and not just a few ...
