I'm not the author of this mod but it's been broken ever since patch 3.0.2 came out and i got tired of waiting for a fix and took maters into my own hands, so to speak I've also aded a few more clases and buttons to my own liking, and managed to put together a working version.

Update: so there u have it finally got around to updating the thing, mainly because it totaly broke with 4.0.1 ... enjoy!!!


PS: if u enjoyed playing u can show your appreciation by donating ... not looking to get rich here so just part yourself from a cup of coffee every now and then, and ill be glad someone's appreciating my work.


On another note i still need to figure out how the new mage and lock portal and daemon fly-out buttons work and ill add those as soon as i do... any help coding or just with the api is appreciated.

- finaly got around to fixing the Invalid spell slot error

- fixed actionbutton error
- fixed update_auras argument error

Updated all the api functions to be compatible with 4.0.1
- replaced the "this" references with "self"
- also replaced the getglobals with _G
- and finally fixed the pet bar taint issues (or at least i hope so - u never know with these things :D ) and moved it closer to the buttons

And finally .... the 3.2 fix now works with the totem bar :D

Fixed the button update event, by limting it to the player auras, so that it won't be such a memory memory hog anymore.

Patched up pet actionbar, till real fix comes along.

Fixed to update buttons properly when you leave or cancel an aspect.

I know how you feel. However, that's not the correct approach. There are ways to get around tainting issues and hooking secure frames. I'm going to look into the code here, and dabble around. If I get it to a point that I feel is worth it, I'll post a new version with added features/support/bug fixes.

thnaks ALOT for the support really i posted two threads on wow eu ptr forum about the changes and none of you guys posted a single reply to get blizz to change their stupid coding and oh yeah, i'm really fealing the love. i mean i dont expect prises for myself, after all i'm not the original author and even if i were not my style, but heck dont let the addon die if u loved it .... if you didnt than i understand... but anything else .... cold man cold!!!

well just finished the big update for 3.2 now works with the totembar!!! took me a while but i figured out a way around the UIParent_ManageFramePositions() call witch was preventing me from showing both frames at the same time and kept hiding the totembar frame ...

now as i said i didnt had problems with the pet bar in a long time as i removed repositioning code form the addon but ill take a look nevertheles just not now its 6 am and i'm finaly getting sleepy... enjoy the release any feedback is apreciated.

also any1 who wants to use the code feel free to do so...

If you are looking for an effective way to prevent AspectedAgain's bars from tainting, take a look at the bar code from ZHunterMod.

Most (hunter) bar mods tainted severely after WoW 3.0 came out. ZHunterMod's bars were the first ones I tested that didn't taint at all, at any time (after updates).

The most recent version of it for WoW 3.1 (v3.1.0.2) uses a totally obsolete library (LibBabble-Spell-3.0), so its not ideal, but the bars do not taint. Which is the big thing.

as for the rage checks i'm sure there are some events i could regsiter to trigger an update and untick the button so it reverts back to unchecked or never gets checked at all.

lastly your taint log indicates you've been using the version with the pet bar repositioning and when u call that in combat from an unsecure funtion you get a taint (surely to prevent cheating, or modifing combat functions), there are to solutions wrighting an if not incombat lockdown condition or hooking some secure funtions. but thankfuly blizz fixed the dissapearing pet bar situation.. ergh i guess havent played hunter in a while.... however we'd still need a fix as there isn't space for more than 10 buttons until the pet bar dissapears with the way it's arranged.

as a side note i've added the possiblity to have up to 20 buttons for people/classes not playing with a pet.

@Elitehunter:

i've actualy thought of drag'n'drop functionality for the addon but since the requireed funtions for this kind of actions don't work with the shapeshift bar it's next to impossible .... well not really but really really hard ! you see the functions ondrag on place ...and the lot would have to be rewritten as they only allow actionid's for the actionbars (google "wowiki actionid").


i personaly use Eagle Eye to scan the area for gather respawns! The dragonhawk has a really easy fix (1 line of code) you can doit yourself, i've already done it on my home version, but didnt updated the web version:

well lastly with patch 3.2 comming up i've been working on a way to put alll the buttons after the totem bar for the shaman class, so u can keep both funtionalities. and i almost did it but new blizz code prevents me from showing both shapeshift bar and totem bar at the same time so they keep disapearing on update :

-- HACK: we have too many bars in this game now...
-- if the shapeshift bar is shown then hide the multi-cast bar
-- we'll have to figure out what we should do in this case if it ever really becomes a problem

Question Ideas for next patch... maybe

I like the way this addon is done however (Adjusting to it moving the Pet Action bar is gonna be rough though), I have noticed one MAJOR flaw in my own opinion. Any 74+ Higher Hunter also has the Aspect of the Dragonhawk. This aspect is NOT on the bar, may I suggest possibly removing maybe the Eyes of the Beast & Eagel Eye from the bar.

Or maybe even better yet, have the bar so it can be customized by the player, allowing them to 'drag' their aspect buttons to the bar, placing them in any order they feel most comfortable with. I personally dont use Eyes of the Beast unless im screwing around in SW, Eagle Eye occasionally if im scouting out an area to put together a strategy. But overall they are pretty useless to me & im sure im not the only one.

Just kicking up some ideas.

that seems like a problem with the bar update i'll try to look into it but the more it updates the more memory it consumes. and for ewhitt27 i just adjusted my resolution to 1440x900 witch is my monitor's native resolution but u can also adjust the ui from ui scale in the options. as for the taint i've still got a s@#t load to learn about the api's protected frames .... but i'll try to have a look at it when i find the time

I have been loving the original Aspected and now the Aspected Again.
I like simple yet useful addons.

But Aspected Again is producing a huge amount of taint with the current WotLK client ("Interface action failed because of an AddOn"), there seems to be a lot of actions which were blocked in combat.

Can you please look into it?

Thank you for updating this. Since Classbar hasn't been updated I have used yours. The only problem I have is the pet bar for the Mage Water Elemental does not line up with the main action bar. Specifically, the last button on the right of the pet bar does not line up with the last button on the main action bar. They both should be right justified if that makes sense.

Excellent addon, saves me lots of space. Keep up the good work.

talk about minimalism..... its not the same thing, this one uses blizz's own shapeshift bar(or stance/auras bar as it were) as the other one adds a few more bars... but to each his own its still here for the people who prefer this cheers
