Caith UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 19
by: Caith [More]

Welcome to my custom user interface.
I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution.
But you could also use it with your own resolution,
maybe you have to adjust some parts of the UI.

-

The installation guidelines are in the CaithUI.rar
But you can watch here a small ingame tutorial how to get started

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btf3WKKzsn0

I use a couple of addons to modify my UI

Unitframes: PitBull, Gladius, kgPanels, Quartz
Buttons: Bartender4, OmniCC, kgPanels
Combat: LoseControl, Afflicted3, AUF, MSBT, DoomCdPulse
PVE: Omen, Recount, DBM
Buffs: nBuff, PowerAuras
Map: nMap, Mapster
Other: TipTac, FluidFrames, Reflux, !Beautycase, Bagnon, Junkyard, SharedMedia

Thanks a lot to the addon authors. We couldn't create such awesome interfaces without your addons!

Great work Caith! Thanks for putting this out there again.
I'd recommend making a backup of your WTF, Interface etc.

With that done, just have a play around while in a BG (or raid, if your leader lets you).

Free honor, rep and you get to play with your UI.

/pitbull [-> Raid] will be the way to do it

I've also done this with kgPanels, added a second box (being a resto druid) that never changes during forms. Saves a hell of alot of space.

What I learnt from this is you do 4 frames:
Largest is a black outside border.
Second is the inside border, which is 1 or 2 smaller than the black border (such creating the outside black line, with greenish inside.)
Next add a second black frame, this will form the the border.
Finally, a smaller frame on the inside, this is your final frame.

This is what my UI looked like before 3.0.2

Debuffs

Hi Caith, in your 1280x1024 version, for some reason, I don't see the debuffs on me cast by enemy players. For example, I don't see lock's DOTs on me but yet i got the debuff. Every addon seems like it's functioning properly though. Pleases help. Thanks.

No actually it worked right 'out of the box' as it were. I don't know what to tell you

I know that. But it looks awful.
The chatwidth is annoying small.
The smaller UF are horrible (with portraits lol).

This design just don't look good in this resolution imho.
That's why I came up with the idea, to put the frames above the chat.

@Kromgar:

I posted a little explanation regarding kgPanels and my UI on shadowpriest.com. This should help you, too:

I use several panels. Three panels / frame.
You see them listed in 'active panels', such as mm1-mm3 (minimap), bar1-bar3, etc.
Change the x- and y-values of the first (1) panel of each frame to move it. The other two (2+3) are locked onto the first.
Change the widht and height values, to enlarge or reduce the size (you have to change the values of all the three panels in every frame).

for example:

mm1 has 130x130, mm2 has 127x127, mm3 has 124x124

if you want to scale it down, watch those 3px difference -> mm1 95x95, mm2 92x92, mm3 89x89
