Caith UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 19
by: Caith [More]

Welcome to my custom user interface.
I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution.
But you could also use it with your own resolution,
maybe you have to adjust some parts of the UI.

-

The installation guidelines are in the CaithUI.rar
But you can watch here a small ingame tutorial how to get started

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btf3WKKzsn0

I use a couple of addons to modify my UI

Unitframes: PitBull, Gladius, kgPanels, Quartz
Buttons: Bartender4, OmniCC, kgPanels
Combat: LoseControl, Afflicted3, AUF, MSBT, DoomCdPulse
PVE: Omen, Recount, DBM
Buffs: nBuff, PowerAuras
Map: nMap, Mapster
Other: TipTac, FluidFrames, Reflux, !Beautycase, Bagnon, Junkyard, SharedMedia

Thanks a lot to the addon authors. We couldn't create such awesome interfaces without your addons!

Hi, I love the look of your UI and wanted to try it. One of the kgPanels is not fitting, as you can see from this screenshot:

My guess is that I'm using a wide screen resolution and the panel wasn't made for that. My question is which panel that one is, so I can fix it? It wasn't clear to me and I'm not entirely sure how to figure it out, not being well-versed in kgPanel use.

Thanks!

Has anyone got gladius to work with CaithUI yet? As in the look and feel pre-cataclysm?

Never mind, I figured it out. border5 and border6 were the panels responsible for adding an opaque lens over the screen...changing their widths to 100% stretched them across the screen properly. I then had to adjust the positions and sizes of the black bars on each side (border1, border2, border3, border4)....changing the widths of border1 and border2 to 100% and changing the x offsets of border3 and border4 to be on the edges of the WoW screen.

Can anyone tell me which or if all of the add ons can be updated singularly?

I've been using it for a while and am noticing that I'me getting quite a few errors popping up.

Cheers,
Lynchpin

I think they can all be updated regularly. If you are unsure go into your WTF>Account>ACCOUNTNAME>SavedVariables folder and backup the addon in question's .lua file. If it's all wonky after you update paste that back into your SavedVariables folder and it will return your previous settings while keeping the update.

Great UI, some questions on quartz

I have been updating some of the addons one at a time since many of them were older versions.

Losecontrol, updated without issue.
DBM, check.
MSBT, no issues.

I replaced Bagnon for "Stuffing". I am a fan of Caelnameplates vs. Tidyplates also.

One other thing I noticed was that even though Reflux setup the UI for me without issue, I had to manually setup Omen and set transparencies for it's background. Just some feedback if you're releasing a updated version in the future.

TLDR: I updated quartz and it seems it uses the Ace3 infrastructure and requires resetting up the UI. I'm familiar with quartz, but could someone provide the x and y axis settings for the player and focus castbars?

I'd hate to have to reinstall the whole package to fix it.

Dug around the old lua from the .rar file and I ended up setting the following settings for player, target, focus castbars for use with updated quartz.

Player: Height 25, W 230, X 505.54, Y 102, Glamour 2 Texture
Target: Height 25, W 230, X 827.18, Y 102, Glamour 2 Texture
Focus: Height 18, W 200, X 687.69, Y 621, Glamour 2 Texture

Hope that helps anyone with a similar issue.

it seems to be something wrong with the inspect frame, the tooltips for items dissapear sometimes and i have to reinspect the person.

seems to be connected with the talents, seeing as when it happends it goes from for example "level 85 fury warrior" to "level 85 holy warrior"

Hi everyone!

I'm currently encountering a problem when targeting myself with ALT.
When I press ALT and cast my spell, it doesn't apply on me but on my target.
I've checked in my Interface menu but ALT is already my auto-target key.

I know it has already been report by someone but I didn't find how to patch it.
Does someone have an idea?

P.S. Great job on your UI Caith, I'm really looking forward your next version
