Caith UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 19
by: Caith [More]

Welcome to my custom user interface.
I use a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution.
But you could also use it with your own resolution,
maybe you have to adjust some parts of the UI.

-

The installation guidelines are in the CaithUI.rar
But you can watch here a small ingame tutorial how to get started

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btf3WKKzsn0

I use a couple of addons to modify my UI

Unitframes: PitBull, Gladius, kgPanels, Quartz
Buttons: Bartender4, OmniCC, kgPanels
Combat: LoseControl, Afflicted3, AUF, MSBT, DoomCdPulse
PVE: Omen, Recount, DBM
Buffs: nBuff, PowerAuras
Map: nMap, Mapster
Other: TipTac, FluidFrames, Reflux, !Beautycase, Bagnon, Junkyard, SharedMedia

Thanks a lot to the addon authors. We couldn't create such awesome interfaces without your addons!

One Question, the buff icons are too big for my resolution, but scaling of rBuff doesn't work for me. I edited the .lua to

BuffFrame:SetScale(0.7)
TemporaryEnchantFrame:SetScale(0.7)

but nothing happens. Changing the values in any way does exact nothing. Any idea?
I'm having the same issue and have been unable to find a solution. I've thought about moving to the latest rBuff version from the Roth UI package and then retrofitting the CaithUI mods into it, but I'd rather get the Caith version of rBuff tweaked. Has anyone successfully change the scale and/or number of icon per row in the Caith rBuff?

Edit: I tried editing the existing rbuff lua (scale and max_buffs), downloaded and edited the latest Roth rBuff and used a modified rBuff posted to this comment thread (changes the weapon enchant slot to a separate frame). None of them changes the size of the buff icons! They're magic, or something.

That's because it isn't using RBuff for the scaling, but Buffalo.

Use /buffalo buffs scale X to get you started (swap X with the scale, default is 1.3)

Launch Pitbull Config and disable the frames you don't want used.

Thanks for the help!

Working with Buffalo rather than rBuff has made the changes possible.

Oh, how I do love patches.

Since the drop of the most recent mini-patch, my minimap has been quite screwey. While I understand I cannot change the issue with the overly large indicators and question marks on the minimap itself, I am unable to move my quest watch frame. Since scale of the minimap has changed, part of my quest watch frame is off the edge of my screen. Activating the movers does nothing, only moving the minimap itself, which of course poses the issue of the kgPanels panel behind it. Any idea how to fix this so my quest frame isn't half in oblivion?

How do I move the player debuff frame? I poked around in the rbuff.lua doc, but I don't see coords just for the debuff frame.

I'm not talking about the pitbull debuffs for targets, but my player debuffs. I tweaked the buff frame via buffalo and now my buffs clip the debuffs and I want to move the debuffs down a little to compensate.

Hey everyone, quick question. I installed the UI and followed all the steps, but I have a scaling issue. My config file in my WTF folder will not keep the following lines after reloading my UI in WoW:

SET uiScale "0.77999997138977"
SET useUiScale "1"

I have given myself full permissions for editing the folder's content, yet I still can't get the scaling to work. Here is a screen cap for better understanding.

NOTE: Addon profiles that were listed in the instructions were loaded in the above image, making layout exempt as a cause.

In the latest CaithUI release, I still see the "General," "Trade," "LocalDefense," and "LookingForGroup" channels in both the left and right chat frames of Chatter.

I've searched around on Chatter's wowinterface page and with the in-game configuration but do not see a way of separating the channels in separate frames (like the V11 of Caith did).

Does this require some .lua configuration or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for the help.

Using this UI requires you to rescale everything, including the quest tracker. Getting a quest addon such as Carbonite or Quest Helper will fix this by giving you access to a custom quest tracker. I recommend Carbonite if you get a chance to try it.

Hi All,

Firstly a big Thanks to Caith for an amazing UI.

I would like to ask a question though - What is the name of the mod that gives you a cooldown duration value on your bartender button for the spell that you used?

Thanks

Tom.

Hey TomROgers123,

I'm pretty sure the addon you're searching for is called OmniCC.

Standard UI chat settings should let you split the channels, it did for me just fine.

Fixed! Thanks for helping, Slayne. I failed to realize that my issue was with the in-game chat settings, not Chatter.

Hello, i have been using caith ui for quite some time now, and the favourite of the versions is v.10.5. The Old one from tbc.

I am wondering about the raidframes as they were in tbc, i have been trying and trying myself to get them that way, is it even possible to make 'em the same way anymore? I can get them ontop of eachother, but not like Groups, only in 1 whole single column, i'd like to have the old one with 5 small groups.

this is how far i have come:

I have no clue how to get them ontop of eachother like on the old tbc one:

Would help alot if you could look into this Caith!

PS, Made a same topic in request section.

Thanks
/Viryz
