    Type /bcm to configure BasicChatMods, a basic and modular approach to chat customization.

    By default BCM will allow you to drag your chat frames to the very edge of the screen, the remaining customization is done in BCM's modules which can be enabled or disabled at will.

    A few of the current modules include:
    • Button Hiding
    • Channel Name Customization
    • Chat Copy
    • Font Customization
    • Chat Frame Justification
    • Player Name Customization
    • Real Id Class Coloring
    • Sticky Customization
    • Tell Target
    • Timestamp Customization
    • URL Copy

    Class Colors: Are already provided by Blizzard, right-click chat frame tab > Settings > Tick Boxes
    Combat Log Timestamps: Are already provided by Blizzard, right-click combat log tab > Settings > Formatting > Show Timestamp. Repeat this for every combat log, e.g. "Self", "Everything", "What happened to me?", "Kills".
    v7.4: Fix a bug where only the first popup window would have your settings applied and all other windows were left default.
    Enable playernames module by default.
    Misc fixes.

    Anyway, this could very well replace my ol' Chatter, but then I miss some features that I wish was at least optional in BasicChatMods : highlight & custom sounds for highlight and channel activity.

    Is there a way to change the font size to be smaker in the files? In the ingame blizzard settings the range only goes down to size 12.

    Looking in the files i assumed that the file font.lua would be the appropriate place and found a '12' in the file that might be related to the font size:

    for i = 1, _G.NUM_CHAT_WINDOWS do
    _G[format("%s%d", "ChatFrame", i)]:SetFont(media:Fetch("font", FONT), 12)
    end

    Changing this to i.e. '8' did not change the font size for me.

    Question problem with addon and my pet
    i play a warlock, and ever since this new update, when i load BasicChatMods, then my pets bar goes up higher than it should go. normally it sits right above the exp bar and another bar. but now it goes much higher and a huge gap of space with nothing there. is there a way i can possibly fix this?

    I usually use shift+page down. I think shift and mousedown also works? Can't remember.

    Channel Re-Names
    The channel re-name seems to only work on Chat Frame. Is there a way to have it rename the channels in other chat frames as well?

    seems when you click on profession links in chat you get an error "Bad argument #1 to 'gsub' (string expected, got nil)" only happens when you click on a profession link for me otherwise great addon
