DagAssist helps you clean up your interface by moving seldom used abilities to a discrete minimap menu. Get those teleports, auras, tracking abilities, professions and hearthstone off your action bar! Abilities from every class and race are covered. No configuration, no complication. Download, install and you're ready to go!

Getting MBB to play well with DagAssist

I, too, love DagAssist. Here is what I did to MBB to get it to play well with DagAssist.

Go into the MBB.lua file, and you need to change line 78 and add a line after it. This will tell MBB to ignore the DagAssist button. Your new lines 78 and 79 should look like:

[27] = "GameTimeFrame",
[28] = "DA_Minimap"

I will also cross post this to the MBB page and ask the author if he can add this change.

Hi cM2003,

I have fixed the bug that is giving you problems in 2.02, which you should be able to download shortly. You'll need to add MotW back into DagAssist_Menu.lua using the buff type as you tried to do originally.

It seems like this should work. The servers are down for the weekly update right now, but I'll try it out later and see if I can get it to work.

Edit: After research I retract my earlier statement. In its current state DagAssist doesn't support mounts. I know what I need to do to make it work and I'll try to add that functionality to a later build.

I have a problem, though: I used to hack the files to get rid of some stuff (no need for trade skills), and include others (wanted my mounts in there). Worked nicely pre-3.0. Now I can get rid of stuff, I can also include the mana stones and the food spells, but I can't get the mounts included. Can you tell me how to do that or include them yourself (I really have no idea how hard that ist ^^)? I looked up the spell IDs at wowhead and then did some c&p, which indeed worked with all mage spells, but not with the mount

Hi Zwerg,

Due to the protection put in place by Blizzard, any addon that casts spells cannot be arbitrarily shown or hidden. It sounds like MBB is interfering with that protection and there isn't anything I can do about it. You can talk to the MBB author about possibly changing the methods he is using to show/hide buttons.

Thx for this update. Dagassist is a really nice addon and i missed it since patch 3.x

But there's problem with another addon:

When i activate the MBB (Minimap Button Bag, v0.60, Link), Dagassist is not working. I get this error when clicking on the Dagassist icon:

One suggestion (if it's not implemented already, I found no way to add my own): make it customizable; for example, Rogues could place their poisons into it and we could use it for tradechat macros.
