Dreagar's Text Unit Frames

I was playing around with Awbee's Text Hud, and It really didn't do anything i wanted it to, so i took the idea and ran with it!
Features:
* Movable Frames
* Hide or Show Blizzard Frames
* Hide or Show Pet Target and Player Target
* Show health and mana for player and pet in percentage or current/max format
* Show health and mana for Target and Pet target in percentage or Current/max format.
*Show Focus and focus target frames.
*Show Party and Party Pet frames.

Ideas for the future

* Text Buff/Debuff Frames (maybe a whole new mod for this)
* Text Castbars (again maybe a whole new mod for this)
-Right now to do any of that you have to enable the blizz frames and do it there.

11/12/2008 - I know right before the expansion! DOH. should work fine, but i'll test it out soon as i get the expansion installed. Here's what i've updated. it's quite a bit.
- Flashes your players name when in combat.
- You can now split the target and player text.
- You can now change the font.
- You now have a focus and a focus target frame
- The color gradients when you're gaining or losing health or mana change quite a bit more now with a varied range of colors.
- Increased the font in the options window to see the options better.
- Spaced Target and Player a bit better.
- There are party and party pet frames now. :)

Sorry for the lack up udpates, has been some crazy months. :) I've rewritten everything, trying to make it more user friendly and less codey.. Right now, it's just player pet and focus frames, i'm working out the bugs on the party frames, and i'm going to add (possibly) buff/debuffs for party and target. so that's what is takin so long. Thought i'd update and see what ya'll think of the new versions. :)

Yeah, I've found the same things, I'm rewriting most of it actually to fix these couple of things. May take some time, but workin at it!

I'm working on it, i wanted to include some sort of buff frame for the target, then i got started on wanting to do it for the rest of the frames too. lol. i'll get there i hope. just gotta figure out the logistics and how to make it as minimal as possible

nope no faults, i'm working on the next iteratin taht'll take care of this, except i'm having troubles making sure that you can use every option in the right click. some you can't use like SetFocus. but i can't figure how to get it outta the menu. so it'll be fixed soon.

with lots of new bells n whistles.

other than that, this is rapidly heading towards being my fave unitmod!

edit: what it really needs to be a true replacement for other unitmods is rightclicking on the text. all other stuff (including text castsentenses (is that proper english?)) is pure optional i think. on your "to-do list" you might consider adding the text raidframes, again perhaps as a seperate mod.

Good idea. i'll work that in.

BUG?: the fontsize in the optionscreen is really small (too small).
I'll put it up a notch.
BUG?: when placing target info next to player info there should be at least one space, right now target name is attached to player mana.
I"ll have a look at that. and see if i can space it a bit more.

regarding castbars you said:

I'd like to do target castbars at the very least. but yeah, i'll work on it.

just my 2 cents. i tried to keep my wishes in line with the minimalistic appraoch you started. and because i know -nothing- about .lua or programming in general that isnt holding me back in any way

(p.s. please excuse my english, it is not my native language. i might have trouble getting my thoughts expressed in a way you can understand.)

Here's what im working on right now by the way

Flash the player name when in combat.
Target buffs/ debuffs.
Keeps the position you put it in between reloadUI's and exits.
Right click for player/pet frames.

Oh those are great ideas! I know for the moment, i just wanted something to display the info, i really don't find myself actually needing to use the right click, or click to target methods very often, but it's something i want to add. Right now though i'm thinking keep it as simple as possilbe, and add the frills later.

so i'm going for the focus frame, party and party pet frames, and focus target frames next, i liek the idea of bein able to change the font, i'll work that in too. and well, castbars, i'm not positive i want to do that just yet, not sure where i'd put em anyways, there are lots of castbar mods out there anyways, so ill put that on the back burner for now.
