Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To

• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.

very useful beacause let us easy swap all addon to bodasafa's profile

PS: your UI is great!
I might look into it. Though really I list all the addons that require you to set a profile, so going through them and setting it should not be that big of a deal. After all I already did the hard stuff

Thank you

Hey Boda

I just installed and configured your UI and wanted to say thanks for sharing it, this is what I have been looking for. Simple to install, simple to config. It covers the important stuff and your layout is very clean. Great job!

I think I was able to see your screen shot and if the black bar isn't resting on the bottom of the screen you will have to go into the kgpanels config and then move the black bar graphic down to the bottom of the screen. I haven't loaded this UI on my system yet but plan on doing that tonight when I get home. I also have a 24" 1920x1200 monitor and will let you know tomorrow if I am correct.
I loaded the UI last night and I really like it a lot. I had to go into "/kgpanels config" to adjust the black bars to fit my 24" 1920x1200 res monitor and then move some of the buttons and other addons to fit in the new black bar location and sizes. Here are some screen shots to show what I did. I also added some addons that I like and set it up for a pally.

In any event looks like you have a 24" which is bigger than my 23". So everything will fit just fine.

On my download page

A good friend of mine is a graphic artist and I asked him if he could create a graphic for my download page. A graphic of a black box and the name "black box ui" seemed kind of boring.

So I changed the name.

The UI itself is meant to be functional not fashionable. I had several dragon graphics I thought about putting in the UI, but it really took away from the clean and streamlined look.

Any idea why your profile for pitbull would not work? Or why recount simply was doing nothing?

I used all your profiles and got the rest of the UI to display correctly other than the above.
In a party you will only see the 4 others in frames in the top left corner. You only see frames by the minimap if you are in a 10 or 25 man raid. I also do not show party while in raid. To change this you would have to adjust the pitbull settings.

After you have the profile set click the "Config" button or type /recount config. Once at that window check the boxes in the Data tab to select when you want Recount to show stuff.

Everything in the long black box is a combination of ALL the addons in my UI. See the addons list on the download page.
