LoseControl makes it easy to see the duration of crowd control spells by displaying them in a dedicated icon onscreen.

This is a known issue. It's the same problem as the duplicate Wyvern Sting sleep effect/poison DOT. Having two spells with the same name currently isn't possible; it's a limitation of my code. So to fix it might require a substantial overhaul, like parsing combat log events instead of relying on UnitDebuff(). It's on my to do list.
edit: maybe it'd be good to make the icons "round" or even better, just implemate them into the unitframes in the style of gladius. (u know, icon replaces the portrai for the duration of the cc)
Since I wanted to get a 3.1 release out as quickly as possible, I didn't get a chance to polish the target/party/focus frame icons, but this is something I want to do eventually.
it would be also nice if the opacity could be put to 0,01% (i want only see the timer not the icon since it "oversize" the unitframes due the square form)

If you turn down the opacity all the way to 0% isn't that the same thing? You should be able to see the timer but not the icon. Personally I can't even tell the difference between 0% and 5% opacity.
also it causes trouble if "party pets" are enabled since the placement of the party frames changes. could be solved with the feature stated above.
I didn't put much time into testing, but I never saw this happen. Do you have a screenshot? The LoseControl icons are anchored to the party frame portraits, so it should move with them.

0% opacity don't show the timers anymore (tested it).

i just turned "party pets" off^^, havn't watched if it does follow the party frames, only had it one time that the anchors seemd to be missplaced while in av.

but a friend of mine has a major other problem:

if xperl (i guess it was) is active, the party timers won't show at all.

edit: is it possible to cap physic horror to 3 secs via lua tweaking?^^

You're using an old version. Delete the "LoseControl-1.31" folder and upgrade to 1.4.

Starting at line 305 of LoseControl.lua:

You will have to replace "Psychic Horror" with the localized name of the spell if you're not using an English client.

Let me know if that doesn't work out for you.

me again:

Wyvern Sting seems to bug alot if you trinket out / break earlier. since the dot is still active losecontrol still shows the icon, but the cc issn't active anymore.

edit:
hunter's frost trap seems to not show.

the new version is just awesome!!!! now the target and party thing is just great. 0% opactiy with omni cc works like charm.

now u've to update your example screens awell. they are looking quite odd and the addon deserves by far way better treating


edit:
tested it again: Freezing Trap still won't show at all. wyvern sting still bugs, too. (now shows 3 sec "cc" and then 6 sec debuff, but the debuff is only damage, not cc. even if you trinket out)

Oops, thanks for finding that zukuu. I swear Freezing Trap used to work. Blizzard must have changed the effect name in 3.1 and I never noticed. It'll be fixed it in the next version.

Maldazzar, I'll go ahead and add Nature's Fury and Mark of the Faceless to the PvE spells but I'm not sure about Brain Link. From what I've read, there is already a visible graphic that shows when you have the link.

Hey, I appreciate you taking the time to upload that video. Besides the bugged Wyvern Sting part, it's actually a good showcase of the mod. I have some free time today, so I'll try to think of a way to fix that bug, hopefully before patch 3.2 comes out.
Speaking of, I haven't been following the patch notes too closely, so if anyone has any insights about what's changing in regards to CC spells, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.
