DockingStation (Display)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.5.4 (Beta)
by: Vrul [More]
A display platform for LibDataBroker (LDB) based plug-ins. The display is provided through panels, each having sections (Left, Center, Right) corresponding with how a plugin is justified within it.

All plugins are disabled by default and you must turn on the ones you want to use. This is to avoid the complete mess that results from all plugins being on with the first use. The only plugin on at the start is the one provided by this addon to access its options easily. Just click it to start changing settings.

With plugins unlocked you can drag and drop them to other panels/sections and have them automatically adjust to their new location. There are no limitations on the drag and drop capabilities other than the new location for a plugin must be within a panel. You may also change the location of a plugin through the plugin options menu.

Almost all sub-sections of settings have a default option. The defaults follow a set pattern. First plugins check their settings, if default, they next go to their panel's settings. If the panel is also set to default then it defers to the addon's global settings. Finally, if the global settings are still set to default, then the hard coded defaults are used.

Note: It is recommended that you delete the folder(s) for an existing addon when updating to a different version. This is to keep files that are no longer used from taking up space.

Translators: To submit a translation please just edit existing files (example: DockingStation\Locales\deDE.lua and DockingStation_Config\Locales\deDE.lua) and send them to me.

After installing the latest version still having the Buff box not moving bug. Any suggestions? Maybe I should delete the add-on and reinstall it?

But there are a set of a such plugins.... some of them is uniq. This forces me to use other display addons.
Is it possible to make an option to display them anyway on my own risk?..

New Version

The new version is just to update libraries to fix the buffs not moving bug. I also threw in support for MMOUI Minion but no other features/changes have been made. Any other changes I've mentioned as being in the works will be part of version 0.4 (or higher).

Just wanted to say thanks for this wonderful mod Vrul. I appreciate that you're still working on this even though you haven't played in a bit (although I might be behind the times; are you playing wow again?). If you need anyone for beta testing your new version, I'll be happy to help where ever I can. Thanks again for The Best LDB Display(tm) out there!

Move blizzard frames problem

I am also having an issue where the buff frames aren't moving down. I unchecked and rechecked the Move Blizzard Frames option and the buff
frames are the only ones not moving down.

In my opinion Docking Station is the best broker display available.
Thanks for the great addon.

Buffs

As of 3.3 my buffs don't move themselves down from underneath the top docking bars. I've done everything I can think of to move them... I believe it was a function of Docking Station but I am not sure.

That seems to be an error with a plugin's OnClick code as DockingStation doesn't mess with anything involving the code in GameTime.lua.

Bagsy, Lonny Bags, Bag count, broker bags, there's really too many to list. Just go to the LDB section here at WoWI and look for the ones with "bag" in their name. You can also use the FuBar bag plugins, like BagFu or whatever, with FuBar2Broker. The ones you listed probably don't work because they don't specify an LDB type attribute; if you're comfortable with editing the lua you can add that in yourself.

Whenever anyone downloads my UI, dockingstation is disabled in addons, even though the WTF addons.txt file shows it to enable on default.

Thoughts?

MrTrader's author is the one I quoted in my comment and is the add-on that put a work-around in his most recent revision (v0.5.7), but XParky (or at least the version I'm running, 1.2.2) also needs a name to anchor to. To be fair, those are the only two I've run into that have that sort of issue and both are trying to anchor something to the bar, XParky is anchoring an XP bar and I think MrTrader's anchoring a Blizzard-style drop-down menu (for memory savings he said, I think, WoWAce is down for maintenance so I can't check atm).
