DockingStation (Display)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.5.5 (Beta)
by: Vrul [More]

A display platform for LibDataBroker (LDB) based plug-ins. The display is provided through panels, each having sections (Left, Center, Right) corresponding with how a plugin is justified within it.

All plugins are disabled by default and you must turn on the ones you want to use. This is to avoid the complete mess that results from all plugins being on with the first use. The only plugin on at the start is the one provided by this addon to access its options easily. Just click it to start changing settings.

With plugins unlocked you can drag and drop them to other panels/sections and have them automatically adjust to their new location. There are no limitations on the drag and drop capabilities other than the new location for a plugin must be within a panel. You may also change the location of a plugin through the plugin options menu.

Almost all sub-sections of settings have a default option. The defaults follow a set pattern. First plugins check their settings, if default, they next go to their panel's settings. If the panel is also set to default then it defers to the addon's global settings. Finally, if the global settings are still set to default, then the hard coded defaults are used.

Note: It is recommended that you delete the folder(s) for an existing addon when updating to a different version. This is to keep files that are no longer used from taking up space.

Translators: To submit a translation please just edit existing files (example: DockingStation\Locales\deDE.lua and DockingStation_Config\Locales\deDE.lua) and send them to me.

It seems the latest version has unexpected effects on my UI. I currently have Dominus micromenu on top of DockingStation and with the latest update the tooltip for the micromenu will flash, other onhover tooltips seemed to flash as well. The only addon I think might negatively interact with dockingstation i have is tiptac.

In any case a list of all addons:

Hiding on events

Would it be possible to hide Docking station when entering a vehicle and display when leaving. Also possible to do the same for the PetBattles?

According to that error log you aren't using the latest version which was a library update that should fix that problem.

Hi, I have a crazy serious problem with this addon. I turned off all addons except this and this one is the only one that causes the problem. I get no Lua errors just this:

For some reason the UI elements move around as if they are in a small frame. Is anyone else getting this issue?

EDIT: I found out that it was because the panels move things down depending on where they are anchored to and I have around 6 at the top. Is there anything I can do to make it so they are not anchored to the top and instead are anchored to nothing so this problem will not happen?

There is an option called "Move Blizzard Frames" in the "Position" section, uncheck it

Any chance you could add a vertical bar feature? What I envision is plugin icons stacking vertically on the bar and labels sticking off to the left or right. Perhaps an option to only show label/text when the mouse is over the icon. Tooltips would anchor to the edge of the label/text.

I'm pretty sure you'd be the only one.

I've tried using the
Code:
[petbattle][vehicleui] 0
to remove the alpha for the frame during pet battles but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm using 0.4.15 (beta)

I just tried it out and it worked for me. I'm not really sure why it would work for me and not for you as the results are determine by a Blizzard provided function.

Is it something I would have to relog to see the effects of? The best I got to happen was inputting it during a pet battle caused the frame to vanish entirely and forever. I had to manually go back into the options to get it to reappear at all.

This is what my config pane looks like. Am I doing something wrong?

I have found that this addon, even when you hit OK to get out of the Interface Options still has the block around where the Create Panel button exists, as a blank area, This exists in the UI without any windows open. If you have closed the UI window and click in this area it still creates the panels at times. This makes it very awkward to see a big blank spot that you can't click through or do anything with in the world. Any help to fix this would be appreciated.

Will there ever be a 5.2 freindly version of this great addon? Right now the thing I am seeing is the jp and jp icons are just green boxes (as if the icons called to no longer exist or their id's have been changed).

Looks like it may sadly be time to move on to another addon that does the same thing as this one. Any suggestions? Need one that has a Center alignment like this one does.
