This is a layout for oUF by haste, and will not run without it enabled. Works with versions 1.2 onwards.

oUF_squared is designed to be elegant and be reasonably functional. It contains:


3D portraits
Player frame
Target frame
Target of target and focus frames
Pet frame
Castbar support


If you want party/raid frames, check out oUF_obbleGrid, which is found within my UI. These are designed specifically for this layout.

I will be adding features soon which will include a simple config at the top and easier perameters for moving the frames about.

Hope there's no problem with me posting this, but if you're having trouble getting the frames to show with the latest version I've managed to get them working (so far) with a few edits....

In the lua file I just changed all the "smartname" tags to just "name"
and at line 62, the one that give the "attempt to concatenate a boolean value" it originally read
"oUF.Tags['[smartlevel]'] = function(u) return UnitClassification(u) == "worldboss" and "Boss" or oUF.Tags['[level]'](u) .. oUF.Tags["[shortclassification]"](u) end"
I changed it to
"oUF.Tags['[smartlevel]'] = function(u) return UnitClassification(u) == "worldboss" and "Boss" or oUF.Tags['[level]'](u) and oUF.Tags["[shortclassification]"](u) end"
All I did there was replace the ".." with "and"

Anyways, the unit frames have been working so far with these changes, hope that helps

r6 (the one avaliable here) only works with oUF v1.2, i have rewritten the code and will be uploading it soonish, i just have bugs to fix (and the animations to sort :P)

Yay! an actual post from the author!

So i realise i've done pretty much sod all in the way of updating this, but i've had a lot on my mind recently with schoolwork etc. However, im beginning to get some free time and i will, at some point, be updating this.

Think of it more of an evolution than a update actually, with the new animation API coming in 3.1 i will probably be able to do what i originally intended to do before being cut back by blizzard changes in a past patch.

So keep your eyes open. _Squared aint dead yet.

Those would be the changes i had to revert, the way is doing it previously was causing taint. I've found an alternative approach, but it's both longwinded and possibly not worth it in the long run. Sorry

I am Still happy about them.. They look so amazing!

But I saw a animated unitframe from this one somewhere? Any news on that? :O It looked pretty slick and uber
