WoW Realm Status

WoW Realm Status is a desktop application that monitors the Blizzard realm status rss feed and notifies you when the status of your watched realms have changed.

You can be notified in 2 ways with a Pop-up Window on your desktop informing you that your realm status has changed and with E-mail notification with the same information.

WoW Realm Status minimizes to the system tray for a lower profile when in use.

Requirements

WoW Realm Status uses Adobe Air 1.5 Runtime Enviroment, to use WoW Realm Status you must first have Adobe Air 1.5 Installed, you can find Adobe Air 1.5 here it is a free download and the file is is about 15MB.

You must also be connected to the internet for status updates to occur, but if your playing WoW I assume you have an internet connection.

So how does my application compare to the FireFox Add-on?? And what could I do to make my application better?

After that I've tried the firefox plugin, but again, can't get it to work (there is something wrong when it tries to populate the euro list). Even if the plugin works, I prefer an external application, so I'm glad to see a new checking status program. It's easy to use, interface is clean, so maybe a sound notification when a server in "watch list" changes status will be nice. (sorry for my bad english). Thanks Tchoa, I've implemented the sound functionality already im just working on the different realms right now should have euro up and running very shortly.

Haha I've been wanting to mess with AIR for some time now, just couldn't think of a project. This app works fantastically, just as advertised. As stated earlier, the only addition that I would like to see would be a sound notification option. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Max, still some work to do but I think it does the job very well too.
