TourGuide - The Lunar Festival  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2.1
by: Ethan Centaurai [More]

This addon is no longer being updated.

TourGuide has been broken by Mists of Pandaria and abandoned by its author.

Please download HandyNotes: Lunar Festival instead.

- Fixed the position of Elder Dawnstrider post-hotfix.
- Other slight tweaks and improvements to the guides.
- Thanks to mutantbob for his contributions.

Version 1.2.0
- Updated for WoW 4.3.0.
- Many thanks to p3lim for his contribution!

Version 1.1.1
- Fixed the locations of the Elders in Loch Modan and Dun Morogh.

Version 1.1.0
- All guides updated for new Cataclysm zones and areas.

Version 1.0.2

- Added a note about summoning and defeating Omen.
- Cleaned up the guides a little bit.

Version 0.6.3
- Updated for WoW 3.1.0.

Version 0.6.2
- Fix various typos, including Lower Blackrock Spire -> Blackrock Spire and Temple of Atal'Hakkar -> The Temple of Atal'Hakkar. Thanks Arrowmaster!
- Rearrange Northrend portion of the guide so that instances are left to last.

- Fix typo (Elywnn -> Elwynn).

Version 0.6
- Fix a typo (Taunka'lo -> Tunka'lo).
- Tell players that Lake Wintergrasp must be controlled by their faction to visit Elder Bluewolf.
- Whoops, missed a subzone -> zone change in the Horde guide.
- Swapped the Elders of Silithus around in the guide.
- Add an ugly fix to hopefully get rid of "table index is nil" errors.
- Fix the Elder of Thunder Bluff (Proudhorn -> Ezra Wheathoof).

- Update the co-ordinates of all the Elders, using data on WowHead.

Version 0.4
- The guides have been improved! New features include: automatic tracking, less typos, smaller wall of text.

Version 0.3
- Add preliminary guides for the Elders of Northrend. Thanks Astemus!

Version 0.2
- Added Horde guide.

Though I have no current 80's to truly take full advantage of this, this is awesome. Guides are great. Guides added to TourGuide are that much better.

Use quest complete instead of notes to make TourGuide automaticly finish each part of the guide

Also use zone names instead of sub-zone names for the traveling part

Also, this error comes every time coords are set:
'TourGuide: Cannot find zone "The Lunar Festival", using current zone.

You install this addon as you would with any other addon. Look here for more information. Also, you will need to enable this addon at the character select screen.

I do this in versions 0.4 and up. TourGuide doesn't support one-click quests natively, so I added a workaround to make this work.

OK.

I'll fix this in the next upload. Thanks!

You need his "Tourguide" addon for this to work, I am assuming.

Yes, you will also need TourGuide installed.
I also recommend a waypoints addon, such as TomTom, which provides a co-ordinates display and arrows pointing in the direction you need to go.

different user here, but I just installed TourGuide and also the Lunar guide, Tourguide is activated on the addon screen, but the lunar guide is not showing up in the list of guides when I go to choose one. Perhaps I've put it in the wrong place? do we put the folder in the addons root directory? in the tourguide folder? or somewhere else? I put the folder in the tourguide folder, as that was where the other guide folders were... but then tried it in the addons root director, but still no show.

You are supposed put the "TourGuide_LunarFestival" directory into the addons root directory.

The guides already in the TourGuide directory where written by Tekkub and will be loaded by TourGuide, as that is what he told the addon to do. My guides are third-party (i.e. not written by Tekkub) and will not load if placed anywhere else.

Also, this addon is disabled by default (dont know why *cough*) so you will need to enable it before you log in

I was having the same problem as a few other people have mentioned. I was not able to see The Lunar Festival in the list of guides, even after putting the folder in the root addon directory and making sure it was ticked in the addons list before logging on.

I then realized that the reason I couldn't see it was because the list was scrollable. It's not obvious by looking at the guide list as there are no arrows. Simply put your cursor over the list and scroll down with your mouseweel, and you should find The Lunar Festival guide should be down the bottom.

Hope this helps some other people.

There were one error I found, Elder Muraco from Camp Taunka'lo. Your addon shows a place in Dragonblight, but should be a place in stormpeaks (it was in v. 0.3).

Other than that, the addon is an awesome help, with it's help i managed to get almost all coins in like half of a day (I only left northernd instances). Thank you!

Does it? The guides appeared at the top of the list for me...
I didn't realise this. Thanks for letting me know.
