ChocolateBar (Broker Display)   Updated this week!   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
ChocolateBar is a sweet display addon for broker plugins
Basically its a Titan-panel or Fubar replacement.

Any data broker addon you have will be put on a pice of chocolate and together they create a chocolate bar on the top of your screen.

Main Features

* Easy config, simply drag some chocolate and drop points will show. The idea is to easily get rid of a plugin or disable the text. See pics.
* Multiple bars - top or bottom as many as you want.
* More Chocolate - a broker plugin to show a second bar that will autohide again. Great for launchers or other plugins you don't need visible all the time
* Support for icon colors and coordinates like used by TomTom

Options for:
* Show bars on mouse over only
* Hide bars in combat
* Set a fixed width for any plugin
* Change textures, colours and a lot more...

Where to get more chocolate?

.)WowAce

Usage

Right click the panel
or type "/cb" to open the options menu.
You can also go to the great Blizz addons menu if you like
windows that cant be moved or resized...

You can get alpha versions from http://www.wowace.com/projects/chocolatebar/files/

You miss a feature or had to much chocolate, please let me know. I look forward to your feedback.

I can add an option to change the default text color of all plugins.
That way most of the plugins will be your desired color.

But overwriting some custom text coloring of a plugin is a problem. ChocolateBar would have to scan the text of the plugin and remove any color tags on each text update. With allot plugins that update quite frequent like a fps display this would have a bad impact on the performance.

Sorry but I do not intend to add that, at least not in the near feature. If you want a more flexible display addon try fortress.

First off love the addon great work

One thing though, is it possible to make the bars a custom length and movable? I for instance do not need to have the bar across the entire screen, or at least I don't prefer it. Just wondering if there is an option I am missing and if not if it could possibly be a feature request.

Thanks for your time, keep up the great work.

Fixed width seems to be working fine, only think is one of my blocks (zBrokerPerformance) became blank after updated. Not sure why or if its totally unrelated, but that mod hasn't been updated in awhile so who knows. It worked fine before though but now its just an empty block. The space is still there its just not showing any numbers. Someone on the comments section there mentioned having a similar problem with it and buttonbin and it ended up being some option in buttonbin for "hide blocks without icons", so just in case you changed something that could effect that I wanted to let you know.
Not a huge deal I just liked this lag/fps monitor since it was simple and lightweight compared to the only other one I can find, but if I can't get it to work I'll move on, lol

Just switched over from Fortress after using it for awhile (and Titan before that), it had some annoyances that just drove me nuts (mostly profiles not working right and having to fight with it every time I switched toons).

ANYWAYS

The only feature that I feel like I'm missing is the ability to force certain blocks to be a fixed width. I hate my ldb feeds constantly shifting left/right just because a number changes or something, I like to be able to make the variable length ones (mostly the performance ones that show fps/lag since the number is constantly changing) fixed so no matter what it takes up the same amount of space.

Other than that, loving the fact that this one is so simple and straightforward but still manages to do almost everything it needs to do.

Keep up the good work, loving it.

thx, I will add that to the next version.

2. the bottom bar seems to be quite a bit lighter in color than the top bar, even though they seem to share a common setting. I originally thought this might be due to monitor calibration, but I've noted the same issue on my wife's computer too.
I have that too, its a tft screen thingy. Make a screenshot and roate it 180° and you will see^^ Some more expensive panel types used by designers and such have a decrease in that effect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD

could you add support for putting things in the center of the bars?
You have to drag one to the "Center Align" icon.

my tooltip flickers like mad if i dont put my cursor at just the right spot over items in the bar, i believe this to be because i use a tooltip addon called tiptac
I'll look into the tiptac problem
edit: fixed, I will upload it soon.

I've noticed two unusual issues with R43. neither is shatteringly important, but I'd like to mention both of them.

1. My bar texture seems to forget it's settings at every logon, forcing me to reset it. edit: This only happens for SharedMedia textures. I fixed this on my local copy by adding SharedMedia as an option dependency in the .toc

2. the bottom bar seems to be quite a bit lighter in color than the top bar, even though they seem to share a common setting. I originally thought this might be due to monitor calibration, but I've noted the same issue on my wife's computer too.

I have the same issue with my Tooltip flickering and I am using TipTac. Its like its updating really fast or wierd...
