Extended Shutdown Warning
Extended Shutdown Warning
You cannot miss the "[SERVER].." warnings with Extended Shutdown Warning
As of May 20, 2009: This addon is unsupported for the time being. AddOn authoring was only a hobby of mine. Mike-N-Go is not currently playing WoW, thus not creating or maintaining mods for WoW. If someone wishes to submit a patch for one of my mods to WoWInterface, you may within the bounds of the license bundled with the mod.

Brief Description:
Ever miss the shutdown warning? That is no longer a problem! Extended Shutdown Warning will notify you with scrolling text (MikSBT if enabled, or the default UI if not) and set the stopwatch to the time remaining until the server will be down, shake the screen, flash the screen, and play a sound! Sound file is from Nintendo's (c) Smash Brothers, provided by HelpTheWretched (http://noproblo.dayjo.org/ZeldaSounds/).
Use:
This mod has no in game options nor settings. This uses the SERVER_MESSAGE_PREFIX variable, that, in english, is "[SERVER]", so the mod should work for other localizations as well.
Installation:
After you decompress the file, copy the ExtendedShutdownWarning folder into your Interface/AddOns folder under your World of Warcraft Installation Directory.
A note to my fellow authors:
If anyone wishes to use more then a few lines of my code, I request you credit me by saying, "This product includes software developed by MikeNGo" somewhere as a comment, or in your documentation. I also hope that anyone who would take the time to read my code, would take the time to send me an e-mail of what you think, or what can otherwise be improved.
Caveats, Known Bugs, etc.:
• No known bugs
Future expansion, additions, planed features, etc:
• A configuration to toggle the different warnings
• Bigger numbers announcing the time
• A speaking voice announcing the shutdown time progress
About the Version Numbers:

Sub version: Whenever the mod has new features added, or many minor tweaks, this number might advance.
Current release: The current reversion of the sub version, changed every time a new version of the mod is submitted to WoWInterface.com

Optional Files - Extended Shutdown Warning
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Not a fan of the sound effect, screen shake and red glow that appear every minute (when Blizzard warnings appear) that you can't turn off unless you edit the LUA directly.
And at 4 minutes, the Blizzard warnings appear every 15 seconds. Having the sound effect/shake/glow that often is just...too...much. Makes WoW nearly unplayable during that time. Disabled the mod after today's shutdown.
Really need options to enable/disable the sound effect, screen shake & red screen glow to make this mod less irritating & more usable. The timer & screen text are not problems here, but options to enable/disable those would be of benefit to those who would prefer them off.
