Change Notes for 1.9 rc8:

Bug Fixes from Wowinterface:

Friendly buttons on Hostile and Hostile button on Friendly would show during the Global Cool Down.

I reordered the code back to closer to what is was in Rc6 and
this problem has gone away. The code progression is now different
from what Tay had so we need to test to verify it hasnt
caused other issues.


Strata chages to Frame causeing issues.

Added two constants with RC6 values and update the setting code.

A Use for Debuff (! in extra) was not working.
Changed use debuff code to work

For my target and focus units I have buttons set up for both friendly and hostile mobs.
when my target (or focus) is friendly and I cast a spell, the hostile spells display for a second or two and then disappear.
This is not desirable This did not occur in RC6.
Duplicated this one- verified it worked differently in RC6. It looks like it is showing the button during Global Cool down -
tried a couple of different UI options and did not affect it. I reordered the code back to closetr to what is was in Rc6 and

Any chance we can change what layer the buttons display on BACK to what it used to be?
I keep pushing buttons when I mean to click on a trade or bank window. :/
Done - I actually created a variable that is used to set the strata. An enterprising UI person could add it to the UI
(would have to save it in TOC as well)


XUB wants it to be "aUFpartypetUnitButton#" ('aUF...' vs. 'aUFaUF...', and '...partypet...' vs. '...party...').
So, who fixes this problem? XUB, or ag_UnitFrames?
Try : Selecting agUnit Frames then selecting Custom Frames and type (copy) :

aUFaUFpartyUnitButton#pet

Into the party pet box. This looks like a bug in ag to me - if they think it is the desired behaviour we can change XUB but
I would prefer the ag maintainer to make that statement first.

Its good to see you Drome, ty for the new version.

I'm reposting a bug report that I had put in the previous version. Would like to get confirmation from you if this is still a problem with this new version, or if it was something you fixed already please. EDIT: Or its not a bug at all and I have the syntax incorrect!

Hello. Have a customer button setup as such...

_AntiVenom,use,Anti-Venom,!Poison
When I get hit with a debuff (from a NPC hunter, "Ashenvale Outrunner"), I expect my button to show itself. By default its dimmed.

I get the debuff in combat, the button doesn't change/enable/show. When combat is over, and I still have the debuff (because it hasn't worn off yet), the button still stays disabled/dimmed. It never enables.

If I have the right syntax "!Poision" then I need to report this as a bug, as I would expect this to work. Reported on 1.9 RC7.

Massive delays updating buttons in raids

I play a raiding priest and I have XUB set up to have 6 buttons on every player (4 heals, 2 debuff). In a 5 man I have a few more for Fort and Spirit. Anyway, updating the buttons when a player joins/leaves in a 5 man is no problem. Small delay but no big deal, like a split second.

In a 25 man raid it gets progressively worse. If we have around 20 and someone joins, the update takes well over a second. If the raid has 25 and it's over and some people start to leave.. it can leave my UI frozen for over 5 seconds at a time. I have almost missed out on loot in VoA for example, because someone leaves and I am unable to roll on loot that dropped because my UI is frozen for so long.

Now I have a pretty decent PC. CPU is an AMD 64 3.2GHz, 4GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4800 video card. It should not take over 5 seconds to update 6x25=150 buttons. That's 1 button every 0.33 seconds, while my UI is completely unusable for the duration.

I've tried changing the update rate and max units to update options, but they have little to no effect.

Any help?

PitBull 4 Support

Hi there!

Here some Info for PitBull4 users.
You may use these settings to get your xub to work:

Unit Frame: -- Custom Settings --
Player: PitBull4_Frames_player
PlayerPet: PitBull4_Frames_pet
Target: PitBull4_Frames_target
Focus: PitBull4_Frames_focus
Party: PitBull4_Groups_partyUnitButton#
Party Pet: PitBull4_Groups_partypetUnitButton#

I tested everything but the PartyPets, but IMAO they should work

@dev: Please add these as Default settings

Which version are you currently using?

There were bad issues with update speeds in the past, but they had been (for me at least) fixed a couple of versions back. Also, if I'm remembering correctly, some of the update sliders on the config screen became obsolete, and are not needed anymore, though I can't remember which. Something said in discussion posts.

I have "Party/Raid Change Delay" at the minimum value, "Max Units to Update" at the max value, and "Update Rate" at the minimum value. I don't see allot of delay (though I do still see some).

At the end of the day, the more buttons you display, the slower things will get. Having said that, I'm not discounting your report, there may be new issues with performance.

Here's the current settings for PitBull, inside of the XUBUnitFrames.lua file...

So for anyone reading this, and until the devs update this file, if you change these values inside of the XUBUnitFrames.lua file to what JoSchY posted (below), then you won't have to manually enter them everytime you switch from/to PitBull.

Make sure to make a backup copy of the XUBUnitFrames.lua before making any changes! As always, if you feel uncomfortable making these changes to the source code files, you can input the updated values inside of XUB on the unit frames config screen.

I am using the very latest version. The one downloaded from this page. eXtreme Unit Buttons v1.9 Release Candidate 8. Although the delays I am experiencing have been present for a long time, at least several months. I only recently started raiding on a regular basis, so it is becoming an issue now.

I will try changing my settings to copy yours as described, will post here if anything changes.

Well actually, the values I stated are the most cpu intensive ones, so if you are having performance problems, don't use them, or at least just give them a try but don't spend time on them if your performance sucks. I was just stating them to show that I had the max settings and didn't see performance problems. Doesn't mean I'm saying you are NOT seeing problems.

BTW, can you supply your config script?

JoSChy - you have just made my day.

I had to stop using PitBull becuase of the screwy way they assigned names to unit frames - XUB couldn't adapt. These look pretty strait forward. Do raid frames have a similar new name?

I will make a quick look to see if there is anything easy to do. I do not want to try anything radical - I would p[refer to get 1.09 out the door and think about a 2.0 that can handle lots of buttons better.

HAs anyone found any other issues with RC8 - or are we ready to push it out?

When I queue into an Arena battle, where I'm in a raid, but there's only me and one other person, my buttons don't seem to want to show up, either using the Blizzard party frames, the Blizzard raid frames, or ag_UnitFrames frames.

Otherwise XUB seems fine.

AFAIK PitBull 4 does not have any Raidframes anymore (couldnt find them)
So you may *force* xub to use the 'Party-Settings' when your in an Raid.

Druid Help

Hi there. I don't have a problem with this build per say, but I'm looking for help using extreme unit buttons on my druid.

I've used extreme unit buttons for years on my priest and other class characters, but for some reason I cannot get it to work on my druid.

I have all the options set the same as for my priest (obviously with different spells) but none of the buttons appear on my player window or anyone in my group.

It hasn't really been a problem up till now because I have been leveling solo, but I'm starting to get into group play.

Is there a trick to setting this up for a druid?

Your help is very much appreciated.
