Skada Damage Meter   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes. It is inspired mainly by Assessment, but also by Recount.

Skada sports segmented fights and detailed views, while being highly efficient with memory. This is accomplished by aggregating data on fight segments.

Skada is entirely modular; the modes listed below are all separate addons. Only the modes you load adds to the memory and CPU cycles used.

Features:
  • Automatic mode switching when entering combat. For example, you can have Threat mode be shown in combat. Skada can switch back after combat ends.
  • Specific fight segments can be kept indefinately.
  • Multiple windows. Each window can be configured fully.
  • Threat mode can warn on high threat.
  • Modes: Damage done, DPS, Threat, Enemy damage done, Enemy damage taken, Healing, Overhealing, Total healing, Absorbs estimated, Damage taken, Dispels, Mana regen, Debuff uptimes, Failbot, and more.
  • Reports can be done everywhere. For example, you can report a certain player's Debuff uptimes.
  • Summary information for most modes (DPS, HPS, Fails, etc) in a LDB view/minimap button.
  • LDB data feed can show personal/raid DPS or personal threat.
  • Support for SharedMedia and Class Colors.

Usage:

At first a list of all the modes above are shown. Right-click to show the available fight segments. "Total" and "Current" should be there. After a fight a new segment will appear here. By left-clicking on a segment you choose what data will be shown in the modes. Left-click on "Current" to get back to the mode list. "Current" shows data for the active fight, or the last fight if you are out of combat.

Left-click on a mode, for example "Damage", to show that mode. Left-click again to show more detailed data. Not all modes have detailed data. Right-click to return back to your previous position.

Shift-click anywhere on the window to open a menu. From here you can report data, reset data, and various other things. You can also report with /skada report.

You can configure Skada from "Configure" in the menu, or from the game's Interface->Addons window. You can create new Skada windows here and customize them. A popular feature is "Mode switching".

Data can be reset with /skada reset, from the menu, or by shift+left clicking the minimap/LDB button.

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada. All suggestions and bug reports are very welcome. There is a page with API information here.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Sorry i've tried everything getting my old account back with curse/wowace but I can't and I don't want to register another account so I'm going to post here instead.

I noticed when you add bar padding if you place your mouse between the bars you zoom in/out when you scroll your mouse wheel. I tried enabling Background hoping it would "catch" these scrolls but it doesn't so could you add a feature where the background does this so it would scroll Skada instead?

As of today's patch (08/19/09) was skada not been recording fights? For example Skada did not record today's ToC or when I was doing XT. This and other mods have been acting funny since this new patch was implemented. Please let me know if anyone has been experiencing similar incidents. (i do hope it's not one addon messing up others).

Edit:
Is there anyway to stop the menu's from disappearing? For example after a wipe I would like to link info asap, but due to ppl releasing and running back in the menu disappears I have to try atleast 10 times before i'm able to select what channel/lines I want to report. Otherwise the in normal circumstances it will not do this.

Hi! Can I post a little feature req here?

Can you make a possibility to set the bars transparent when the "bar class color" option is on please. And make an option to show self solid (not transparent) anyway. Especially for threat mode...

I've noticed the change to dps and the Fel Armor overhealing behavior as well. I am curious if this has anything to do with Blizzard's 'hotfix' for Val'anyr.

Exclamation Dps drop after boss dies , with skada and warlocks

I've watching the dps meters ( skada, recount ) , and i've noticed that the dps of all the locks ,when combat ends it suddenly jumps down about 300-600 dps.

Its only in 3.2 , why the down in dps after the boss dies ? , Elsia from recount said :

"Alright thanks for this. Indeed the Fel Armor heal ticks are responsible for the after combat DPS drop effect that people reported. I managed to reproduce this.

It's kind of a weird situation because in a way this is almost intended behavior, but I can see how it's tricky.If combat is active (the dummy takes some time to get out of combat from) healing is counted towards activity time in Recount and hence it will lower your DPS. Also because of this idling time for Locks when combat is going on otherwise will drop your DPS because you are counted as active healer, which you are.

But clearly this is a change in behavior of the combat log because the CL used to simply not report full overheals of HOT like effects.

I'll commit a version that acts as if this change to the CL never happened. I.e. it will return to not counting pure overheals as activities. I'll have to think about if there is a better solution than this, because it seems supoptimal for healers, but for now at least it restores consistency to before 3.2. "

Can we have a patch to Skada to correct it ? , there is also another dps drop in aoe ( with destro locks ) , anyone noticed ?

CC Announce

The CC brakes will not announce in raid/party anymore since patch. Yes I have the latest version and the option are checked. I even cleared my saved variables. Is anyone else having this issue also? Better yet anyone have any suggestions on what happen or how to fix it? Love this Addon BTW

How do I actually stop Skada from popping every time I join a battleground? First thing I do when I join BG is reset Skada and actually toggle it off. I have "Hide in PvP" selected, but the window shows up every time. Do I need to disable "Ask to reset" option?

it's very nice. took a bit to get used to the interface after using recount for so long but it's pretty good once you get it down

Modes reset after fight

Hi
Very new to skada after using recount for so long.
Ok, the issue (not a major problem) I have, i can right click as you say and get a full list "modes" etc which is pretty nice. however I have NUI, and two columns set up automatically. I set on to threat and one to heals (resto shammy) and go fight something. Once the fight is over It doesnt return to the previous mode with the full listing.
Being new to skada, its possibly me not clicking something ( the combat mode is clicked in settings to return to previous menu btw) or its a disparity with NUI.

Any ideas greatfully accepted

When I go in and I want to send a report, or change the mode and such, the menu keeps disappearing.

Is this the Addon itself, or another Addon that may be conflicting and forcing the menu to close?

Okay thanks. It's not listed on the slash command list. I did try /skada hide in case it worked but, well it didn't.

I downloaded the last version of skada today, and I have a weird error, the data isn't collecting at all but I'm not getting any error report.
I tried to change almost every option but I can't get the data collected, everything stays at 0.
Of course my damage and all the others modules I needed were enabled.
So if you can find a way to make the data collected

Edit: Nevermind that was an odd error that occured on login, a simple exit/login resolved the error
