Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.

Usage

When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.

Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.

In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality, such as:

1.5-7:
Added themes.
Fixed up tooltip positioning.
Added spell details for the Total healing mode.

Reverted the change to the Total segment. Fingers, you failed me!
Bit of configuration cleanup.
Fixed reverse growth and right to left orientation.

1.5-4:
Added a simply optional frame for the Data text display.
Cleaned up configuration a bit.
Changed the Total segment to not be saved, but recalculated at startup. This fixes an early design flaw (Total was never the sum of all segments, but a separate thing). Fingers crossed there's no breakage...
Greater Blessing of Might and Stormlash is now handled.

Fix for recent changes.

Added new Inline display system.
Added new Broker display system.
Fixed Bar display's border settings.

An idea: A Threat Done mode, very much like Damage Done but with the threat done per combat (or TPS donde per combat) and a detailed view of the habilities that caused that threat (like de Damage or Healign Detailed view).

Not sure if it's intended, but using the old text commands to report don't seem to work. Typing /skada report does bring up a list of commands and that command is still shown, but typing the rest of what you want for reporting doesn't do anything it seems.

Yes. Currently I'm working on making Skada's windows display-system agnostic. When this is done configurable columns is next.

As i already explained before, i personally feel no need to see the dps in the damage window, if i want to see the dps, i open/switch to the dps window.

This is really that that i have to keep using recount only because of a layout issue, because technically, Skada does everything i need.
Recount shows DPS in the main window aswell http://static.wowace.com/uploads/19/...MainWindow.jpg

If you could add options to let users decide what to display in the main window (Name, damage, DPS, % damage done), it would make everyone happy.

Do you have any plan to allow the user to customize the values displayed, because currently it's unuseable for me only for that very reason.

Most of the time i have the damage window displayed, and it's showing:

1. Playername 8.1k (805.1, 53.9%)

It's like, WAY too wide, is there any way to have it more like:

Can we get the full command line based /report system back? I find it quite tedious to go through a cascading menu each time i want to report to a different channel/player and/or with a different number of lines. Being able to just type exactly what and where I wanted to report was great.

Is there any chance that in future you can add some more features for tanks? It would be great to be able view the incoming DPS, dodge %, parry %, etc on myself and other tanks.

Also - the death view doesn't show anything other than a death count for me. If I select someone's name from the death window, I just get a blank screen.

Thanks for the reply zarnivoop.

Another "issue" I wanted to mention is about those spells and dots using the same spellid, for both the direct damage portion and the dot. An example would be Flame Shock. Because of this, they get merged in the spell list. I don't know if this is intended or not? But it would be nice to see the breakdown for both the DD and the DoT part.

For the barPrototype:Create function, try adding this line for the icon and see what you think:

Yes, Skada shows all miss types (immune being one) as Miss. Breaking it down is on the to-do list.

The ability to report any detailed view was lost in the transition to multiple windows, sadly. Will be brought back soonish.
