SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

Filters work fine (except maybe the ha filter as below) I suggest you re-read the part about filters in the survival guide link on the main page.

e3r - Hm, I could make ha pull double duty depending on whether it's a debuff on a friendly or a buff on a hostile. There's also an argument to make a new filter for buffs on hostiles that you can spellsteal or purge. The double duty filter could lead to confusion, so I'm inclined to make a new filter, but am willing to be convinced otherwise.

Also, i still get bars, and sometimes timers, that fail to update and get stuck. Most noticeable on my targets debuffs, but sometimes also on debuffs on me. Buffs on me seems fine.
I can't see how this is possibly still happening, since SBF forces updates for all units every 0.4 seconds while in combat now. I think I'll need specific effect names to really nail this down, since I simply cannot reproduce it on a warrior or mage.

The other information you gave may help me track that down, though - thanks much! I probably need to force a buff refresh when a pet/vehicle is summoned or dismissed, for example

The "effects dispelable by me": 'ha' filter does not seem to work on hostile targets at the moment. It would be nice if this was the case, showing buffs that i can purge/spellsteal/dispel.

Also, i still get bars, and sometimes timers, that fail to update and get stuck. Most noticeable on my targets debuffs, but sometimes also on debuffs on me. Buffs on me seems fine.

Flowing also seems a bit buggy for my pet ghoul. It changes between being a child frame and an independent frame seemingly at random. Also, when it's a child frame, sorting gets reversed and unique color gets replaced by parent frame color.

Edit: That is, buffs for the ghoul should be attached to my own buffs, same with debuffs.

This happend while i was riding the Hyrdsmeet bear in the quest where you fight other bear riders in the ring. It seemed associated with my bear (vehicle-pet) getting debuffed. Demoralizing Roar got stuck even after my bear ride was dismissed, but got removed when another buff event forced an update.

3rd edit:
Pet buffs seem to have trouble getting information about max duration, making the bars fail a bit, while the timer on them is still correct. This might be related to the problem with flowing if I'm wrong, as this happens when the frame is not docked to the parent.

so if I wanna move auras to the first frame (named "general")? I set the filter "a" on "general" frame but still showing up on the "combat" bufframe as well.

My seal on the weapon shows twice. :S

Seems filters arent working well yet.

when i change the scale of a Frame and select another Frame the Slider will be correct but the Number will be wrong
Example:
Frame 3 & 4 are both Scaled as 1
I change Frame 3 to 0.9
I select Frame 4 (shift lclick)
the scale shows "0.9" as number but the slider is at 1

What I did is turned on clickthrough on some frames. One of the frame shows buffs, the other debuffs. Also I got a general buff panel (separate one) and it seems the buffs aren't showing up there. Or I think the bufs not showing at all actually (Just testing beta3 right now)

Megerka - Centre out buffs also call for odd numbers of buffs in a frame. I've already changed that for next release.

A few bugs:

1) ButtonFacade skinning isn't being applied to auras without durations.

2) The "icon size" setting isn't being applied initially after reloading the UI or logging in again. This setting is only applied after opening the config window.

Why I can change the amount of represented buffs/debaffs only in the fixed range ?

is it possible to do the movable indicator of choice of amount of represented buffs/debuffs, in place of the expressly set table ?

no 2-4-6..20-24, but 1-2-3...21-22-23, pls

NavyFC - I am not able to reproduce either of those errors. Are you still getting them? If so, what class are you playing, and what sort of spells are you using on the focus target to make the bars go insane?

I'm a long time user of SBF and I'm very happy to see development continue. Thank you.

The first problem I noticed is only cosmetic; The tooltips for "Blacklist" and "Whitelist" under the General tab seem to be reversed. For example, the tooltip for Blacklist reads 'Blacklist means "show me nothing except what I say to"' but this is the opposite of the behavior. The write up on your survival guide is correct.

I noticed two other issues but I'm not sure if they can be reproduced.

- I have Frame 1 set to show my buffs (no debuffs) as icons only. I have the frame set for 48 buffs in 12 rows, thus it's four buffs wide. The buffs run left to right, top to bottom. While setting up other frames, frame 1 would reset itself to the default of 10 rows which, on my set-up, pushed a whole column off the right-side of the monitor. It seems that as long as the last adjustment I make to any frame is to set frame 1 to 12 rows, then it's alright.

- I have a frame set to show debuff bars on my focus target. I have significantly shortened the bars from their default value. Initially, everything looks good, but when the first bar expires and falls off the second bar will take it's place as expected but will have the default bar length not the length I specified for that frame. Reapplying the offending bar's debuff will shorten the bar to the designated value.


I hope my input has helped you further develop this beautiful mod. If my explanations of the faults are unclear please let me know and I will try to explain them in a different way or capture screenshots the next time I notice them.
