Intro
rFilter3 is a buff, debuff and cooldown filter mod.

You can track a single spell by spellid or a full list of spellids having a similar effect. Example: many buffs give +5% crit, those could be combined to a spelllist.
Visibility settings
  • Active spec
  • Visibility state macro condition
  • Unit validation
  • Combat status
  • Ismine (Only show my buff/debuff)
  • Match spellid (Spellid of the aura found has to fully match)
  • Opacity values based on active/inactive
  • Supports spelllists for buffs/debuffs/cooldowns

* validate_unit is possible for buff/debuff tracking. icons will only be displayed if the unit being tacked exists.
* hide_ooc is possible for buffs, debuffs and cooldowns. icons will be hidden if out of combat if that value is available and set to true.

Mod is still in progress, no CDs yet. Depends on how easy they can be implemented. Dunno atm.

M8 tnx alot for this addon, if u can add option for CDs great if not again great work
Just a quick question: My friend plays mage and as i know Living Bomb can be puted on up to 3 targets, so is there an option to track debuff on 3 targets?

Hmm dont think u got mine point, u can put Living Bomb on 3 targets max so is there a way to track 3 living bombs on 3 different targets/mobs?

Buffs/Debuffs are only tracked for specific unitIDs. Like "target", "player", "focus", 2raid1" and so on. They are updated each second. No unit, no update, no debuff. So 2 units are max. Target+Focus.

What you may want is sth else. Just a timer that start once the debuff is applied. That timer would run from max to zero but will stay unchecked inbetween.

I love this addon, but I liked it a lot more when positions had to be set through .lua as well. Most of the time all I want is some 3-4 icons with the exact same size in a nice straight line, something I just can't do by dragging icons around. Editing layout-local.txt feels clumsy and doesn't work as well as having to set fixed positions in an addon.

Thanks a lot for the update though.

Yeah it has some major flaws. Talent spec change is impossible too. I remove that ingame mover change. It just doesn't work. You want to the button one time and then forget about them.

- added cooldowns
- specs are now part of the config aswell
- positions are now part of the config
- ingame moving/sizing removed

Btw...cooldowns FINALLY work correctly even with global CD . Showed some l0ve.

Could you pretty, pretty please use tabs instead of spaces in your formatting? Tabs translate from editor to editor, and allow users/authors to view the indents as they prefer (the width of their tab spacing). I admit that I am OCD, and just went through your config.lua file (I did this with rFilter2, also) and changed all of the single spaces to tabs...

Seerah I hate tabs but I don't use double-space in any other position than where your tab would be (at the start of a line). Just do a replace for every double-space into a tab and done.

I've been using your addons for quite some time and had to post to say
a huge thanks for all your work. Great work on this one too, love it!
The only thing this one is missing right now, is an internal cd tracker(trinket
procs). Would be great to see it implemented!

I'm using quite a lot of your addons, thanks a lot for them!

But I'm sorry to hear that the ingame moving/resizing is gone in the new version! Its wayyyy easier to position the icons ingame, than in config file and /reload again and again. Could you add that again please maybe as an optional feature? Would be very nice!
