SUF focuses on a simple configuration while maintaining the flexibility that most users will care about, preventing unnecessary bloating of the addon that sacrifices performance. While you aren't going to be able to set the health bar to be exactly 3.14 pixels outside of the unit frames, you can change options you actually care about such as bar height, ordering, frame height and so on. To speed up configuration, you can configure multiple units at the same time through the global configuration. For example, if you want to set the height of the Player, Target, Focus and Party frames to 50 then the height of Target's Target, Target's Target of Target, Focus Target to 30 you can easily do this by changing two options instead of having to do it seven times.

However, should you need a little bit of extra configuration do not despair! An advanced option is included that will unlock additional configuration giving finer control over the configuration.

Anchoring
Are you driven crazy by your party frames not aligning up exactly with your player frames, even if it's only half a pixel off? The anchoring system will let you solve all alignment issues, by allowing you to anchor a frame to another and set a simple offset from the frame it is anchored to, or by manually setting the X/Y position of the frame.

Using the screen shot as an example, if you drag the player frame the other frames will move with the player frame preserving the alignment and spacing. Each frame can still be manually positioned wherever you want, but this gives you a way of easily anchoring and moving frames around without having to use a ruler.

Zone configuration (Disabling options/units by zone type)
Units and modules can be enabled or disabled based on the type of zone you are in. For example, if you want to see party targets and party pets while you are in an arena but nowhere else then you can use the visibility options to enable it only while inside an arena. Modules can also be disabled by zone type, if you want to see party auras while in a raid instance but nowhere else you can disable the module in raid instances only.

Profiles do not have to be swapped and it is all automatic.

Units
Supports unit frames are as follows:

Player: Player, Pet, Pet Target
General: Target, Target of Target, Target of Target of Target, Focus, Focus Target
Party: Party, Party Pets, Party Targets, Party ToT
Raid: Raid, Raid Pet, Main Tank, Main Tank Target, Main Assist, Main Assist Target, Boss, Boss Target, Boss ToT, Main Assist ToT, Main Tank ToT
Arena: Arena, Arena Target, Arena Pets, Arena ToT
Battleground: Battleground, Battleground Target, Battleground Target

Features

  • Tags: Includes a simple tagging system that can be customized in virtually any way using Lua, even if something isn't included by default odds are you can make the tags
  • Incoming Heals: Supports the Blizzard Events for incoming heal data, no external libraries needed
  • Auras: Can be set to only show auras you casted, or can cast on others. Can enlarge auras that you casted, and hide the cooldown ring on the timers of auras you didn't cast as well to make it more obvious which ones you casted and which ones you didn't
  • Aura Timers: You will need a mod such as OmniCC to show timers on buffs and debuffs
  • Aura Indicators: Display colored squares or icons for certain auras on any unit
  • Fader: Fades frames when out of combat and inactive (100% mana/no target)
  • Class Power (Eclipse, Holy Power, etc): Supports all of the class power features from Eclipse to Burning Embers.
  • Highlighting: Border highlighting of frames based on mousing over them, curable debuffs, aggro or you are targeting/focusing them
  • Range Checking: Fades frames out that are out of range of you
  • Exportable Layouts: If you have a layout, or your friend has a layout you want to try out you can export/import SUF layouts by going to /suf -> Layout Manager
  • Profiles: You can change from any profile to another one without reloading your UI, should you want to use a completely different layout based on zone you can easily switch profiles without hassle

Pretty much all the general unit frame settings are in, health bars, cast bars, power bars, portraits, indicators and so on.

Basic module support is included, should you be interested in building a module see the documentation on github for more information.

I've been looking to replace Pitbull for quite a while now, and I finally bothered sitting down to try and replicate my old unit frames setup. SUF made this rather easy I must admit!

The only problem I have is creating new profiles, or rather copying my default profile to a new one (I want to setup raid frames differently when I am healing). I'm getting constant lock ups whenever I try to do this. Looking at my setup unlocked I'm guessing it's because of all the extra raid groups/frames that are being created for some reason. I don't know if it's because I messed up some settings anywhere or what it is, but surely it's not supposed to look like this either way? http://wow.kortirion.info/suf/WoWScr...210_234614.jpg

This is also making it pretty much impossible to edit raid frames settings in the first place.

Well the extra amount of raid frames is there no matter what. WoW will generally lock up if I make any changes while having the raid frames visible (specially enabling buff/debuff auras, as this will pretty much fill up the entire screen). When I make a new profile SUF seems to automatically unlock everything, making it lag with all the frames, and generally make WoW crash right after.

Edit: This issue seems to have disappeared. I'm not sure what made it happen in the first place, but everything seems fine now.

One thing I miss from Pitbull that I haven't seen in the options anywhere (unless I'm blind?) was having a gold/silver border around elites/rares. Is there any way to replicate this, besides just the text options?

It shouldn't crash, I'm trying to figure out what you're doing to duplicate the extra raid frames since that shouldn't happen. When you say the issue disappeared, you mean it doesn't create extra raid frames, or it's not crashing?

There isn't a border option for elite/rares currently.

Love the addon.
I'm wondering if it is possible to make the combat text scroll on unit frames.

I'm thinking it would be a decent amount of code to create the animation and a different method has to be used to register the damage/healing right?

I set my targets debuff to go horizontally, but when i log on each time it it set to vertical. I am tired of fixing it each time that i log on.

I only ask because I was planning on making a module for that functionality. But I'm not that knowledgeable in addon coding.

(It would be one step closer to the MLG ui)

It seems to happen whenever I create a new profile. The layout will unlock and the extra raid frames shows up. I can move the raid frames up/down on the screen forever, the frames just seem continue forever. Exiting the game/reloading will make it normal again, but if I try to do any editing before that when the extra frames are still up, it tends to lock up instantly. That's the behavior I've noticed so far that I can duplicate.

*nvm, my apologies, I found the portrait as a bar option. Thank you for a beautiful unit frame mod, I may be able to make the switch from Pitbull!

ETA: Is it possible to put the Cast bar over the portrait? I put the portrait in the center between health and power bars, horizontally. A lot of OuF layouts have the cast bar replace the center portrait when a cast is going off, which I find a nifty use of space.

I did find out that I can auto hide the cast bar and have it take over space only when casting, this works well enough, although an option to just cover the portrait without changing the size of Health/Power bars would be nice (but not at all necessary!)

I would like to have the border highlighting for mob type, though, as that is the only thing I haven't been able to replicate from my Pitbull setup.

raid assist windows

Hi just downloaded and started to use SuF love everything about it.
last night I went to raid and I couldn't get the MT raid assist windows to appear tried for about 10 min before raid started unforunately I had to revert back to Xperl for the raid.
If I unlock units it shows all the windows and where I place them but as stated couldn't get them in raid, any help with this would be much appreciated
