*) How to use the "Switch" button/keybinding:
e.g. maybe in order to have more FPS while raiding you want to reduce some graphics settings.
So you hit the button once. Now your current settings are saved and you have switched to a second setting.
Please note: The screen may flicker during this GX Restart.
Now you could reduce screen resolution, visibly range, effects or go to fullscreen mode etc. pp. and have more FPS.
When your raid is over you would like to switch back to your previous high quality settings.
Simply hit the switch button again and all your previous settings are restored.
You may bind a key for this too.
That's it.

The options relating to CPU affinity and so on interest me; I have an Intel i7 920. I think that's a quad-core (each with 2 threads?), it has hyperthreading: which affinity and related settings is optimal?
ps. read this thread to reduce in-game latency

On a multiprocessor computer, it should not matter which processor is called. However, you can get different results on different processors due to bugs in the basic input/output system (BIOS) or the hardware abstraction layer (HAL). To specify processor affinity for a thread, use the SetThreadAffinityMask function.
This is for multicore cpus. you may also wish to try setting this to 1, as some CPUs can't deal with 2 and vice versa, 0 is for single core CPUs
Code:
/console gxFixLag 0
Set this on nvidia GPUs, the cvar name and also the option description in the video settings is missleading, this controls GPU synchronisation behaviour and decreases fps according to nvidia
Code:
/console processAffinityMask 3
this is a binary mask, i.e. 1 for single core, 3 for dual core, 15 for quadcore, and so on. remember that e.g. a dualcore with hypethreading would also require setting this to 15
I'm wondering if there is a way to macro the profile by chance? Basically I run 5 accounts and what I want to do is macro the profile's different for my slave and master. So when i switch to a character he gets one profile and the rest go to lowest settings. Is there a /console or script to do this by chance?
BTW this addon is amazing for multiboxing thank you for taking the time to make it! So much easier than doing this all by hand!
atm I don't know a cvar that disables environment shadows entirely. (why do this?)
But you could select a better shadow quality in bliz options (level 3+ (4+?) will replace at least block shadows.)

That's.. uh.. so out of the scope of the addon, it's scary.
Heya
I know this is more of a graphics tweak addon but this would be the ultimate adddon if it had some of the Minor tweaks like:
Auto Hand-In
Auto Release
Auto Ressurect
Auto Tracking (by target type for Hunter)
Auto Repair
Auto Decline
If this addon had some of the above features this addon would become a mandatory addon for me and probley alot of others as im having to using 3 addons just for 3 things: Auto Repair, Auto Release, Auto Decline.
Asura000: it will not affect all effects, but as you can see on the screenshot, spells like volley or the druid spell with the thundercloud will display more projectiles.
Your CPU won't get damaged, nor will your GPU (which is much more envolved in spell graphics rendering than the CPU), but it will decrease your FPS if you set the detail to a too high setting, as there will be several more projectiles to be rendered on screen.
Originally posted by kaltoran hi i know what jacks talking about, the complete removal of fog in the far distance of a zone, ive googled it with varying tags and have only reallywitnessed a couple of memory hacks that completely remove any sign of distant fog from view... but i really dont want to muck about with memory hacks and im not sure blizz would want me doing that anyway... the screenshots that were linked certainly look awesum tho, so im wondering if there is a way of completely removing the zone fog from wow altogether.. hers hoping there is, and one that is easily packed into a wicked cool mod such as this one here
BTW, love ur mod to bits
Yeah memory hacking is a sure fire way to go from awesome mod to banned substance.
This is my new favorite mod - it makes Dalaran painless!
