FaceShooter is a shot recommendation addon for hunters.

Based on your resources like cooldowns and focus it tries to recommend which spell should be to cast next.
It is a complete strip back to basics of the former version of FaceShooter created and maintained by CrowFeather, with the new and changed featured developed from there.

Bug fix for focus calculation errors for SV and BM spec

Added Dreanor Perks:
-Max focus increased by 20
-Kill Shot works on targets < 35% health
Known issues to be resolved:
-Does not recognise when Kill Shot resets its CD if the target does not die from it.
-Faceshooter does not check specifically for which Dreanor Perks are active, so only enables them when your level is 98 or greater.

Bug fix for a specific situation which resulted in Aimed Shot never being recommended during Careful Aim phase

- Careful Aim now implemented for Marksman, Prioritizes Steady and Aimed Shots when Target health > 80% or when Rapid Fire is active. Can be enabled / disabled / enabled for boss level targets

- Shot rotation still not as accurate as I'd like, seems to delay signature shot a bit too much, sometimes suggests Steady/Cobra shots a bit too much

Ah thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Unfortunatly the bug is kind of difficult to reproduce. Sometimes it works perfectly fine for extended periods of time so verifying the fix is difficult.

Cooldown circle

I'm not sure it's related to the cooldown circle bug,
but I haven't had the bug since I changed the line 1305

obj.btn.texture = obj.btn:CreateTexture(nil)

to

obj.btn.texture = obj.btn:CreateTexture(nil, "BACKGROUND")

which is was in earlier releases.

Posted a small update mainly to fix the MM rotation. I tested it on my raid today and for some reason it didn't recognize the serpent sting on my target on a few tries but started working fine again after reloading. I can't really pinpoint the problem so if anyone sees a pattern when/how/why this happens - please let me know.
Also after a while the cooldown circle didn't show on the icon anymore and only came back after another reloadui.

Despite those shortcomings I decided to upload it here because it's still much better for MM than the old and broken version 1.0.1.

Totally flexible Marksman rotation:
- Careful Aim Phase 100-80%: Choose between "Aimed Shot only" and "Chimera Shot and Serpent Sting"
- Standard Phase 80-0%: Choose between "Aimed Shot" and "Arcane Shot" as your main focus dump
- Hasted Standard Phase: Use "Aimed Shot" to maximize your DPS under the effects of "Rapid Fire", "Bloodlust", "Heroism", "Time Warp" and "Ancient Hysteria"

These options should enable you to easily match SimCraft's "Action Priority List" as well as get you close to Whitefyst's "Shot Phases and Rotations".

Although I tested most of the modifications and there shouldn't be any errors, you know some might have slipped through...

Hope this helps out until Crowfeather is back!

Faceshooter

Hi

Faceshooter is working fine with one of my hunters, rest cant see it in addons etc.. strange. But the rotation is absolutely wrong now. It lowers dps in rais wit 4k, due it don't include AI in rotation, just the AI proc.

I really hope Crowfeather takes the time to look at it Faceshooter is a really good addon for me, helps a lot in raids.

I've tried install the rotationbuilder, witch is same addon, but i cant access it in wow. I can see it under addons in login window, but not in game.

All tips welcome

I have been turning off the ttl display but keeping the ttl "enabled". I'll try it with the ttl display on and just move it out of the way.

I've developed a set of power auras that work OK, for me. Not as well as FS but ok. I hope keeping the ttl display on works!

Leaving the ttl display on seems to fix my problem! I just moved it to the side out of the way.

Are you changing any options? I've found I had best leave everything at defaults -- seems like as soon as I change any setting Faceshooter will break. I do know that, specifically, turning off the TTL frame will cause the add-on to go bonkers.

Well, I guess it is just me. Today I tried deleting my Interface, Cache and WTF files from WoW and just loading my UI (Spartan fanupdate which includes Bartender 4 obtained from Wowinterface) and Faceshooter.

I logged on and Faceshooter worked fine for a few minutes. I tried a /reload and it still worked. But when I logged out and back in I was in perpetual error mode. So I guess I will just not be able to use FS

This is in SV spec btw.

Faceshooter is working fine for me also (MM spec) and has never thrown a single error.

@Crowfeather - really hope you are able to find the time to keep developing this addon!

Question - does it (or can it) support what is now (post 4.0.6 and post Aimed Shot nerfs) the common MM rotation of using hard cast Aimed Shot during Careful Aim phase of a fight (first 20% of mob health) as focus dump and then revert to the more traditional rotation for the remaining 80% where only the free proc Aimed Shots are used?

So after deleting the savedvariable.lua file for faceshooter it works when I reconfigure it in game, but seems to "breaK" again when I exit and log back in.

lua deletion worked

Deleting the faceshooter.lua file fixed my problem. It must have gotten corrupted somehow becuase it seems to work perfectly now.

well, very strange. I posted the above, but when I logged back in, I get a continuous error which seems to be from the time to life module...tried disabling it, but it kept giving about two errors per second until I logged out. I've re-deleted my faceshooter.lua from saved variables and I'll see what that does. Here is the error message:
