FaceShooter is an addon for hunters that tries to predict which shot should be used next based on a dynamically created priority list and shows it as an icon.

So far It also includes frames for
  • the estimated time-to-life of and dps on your current target (based on itīs healthloss over time)
  • switch alerts for Aspect of the Viper on low mana and Dragonhawk at high mana (you choose the threshold)
  • sniper training - icon turns green if the buff has just been refreshed, red if itīs going to fall off if you keep moving, normal in between and disappears if youīve lost the buff.
Each of those frames as well as the main shot-recommendation frame are optional and can be turned on/off, scaled, moved etc.

DISCLAIMER: Itīs still rather betaish and doesnīt include a GUI for configuration yet. You can access all options via /fs or /faceshooter. It also may contain bugs (especially for the BM priority list as I didnīt test that very much myself so far). For more information you can check the Useful Add-Ons/Mods thread at the elitist jerks forum hunter board. It does not work for non-hunter classes or below lvl 80.

CREDITS: I got my idea as well as parts of the original code from FaceMauler from Yukizawa of Aggramar which is basically the same addon for feral (cat) druids.

I donīt understand what youīre trying to tell me here. Thereīs no "picking up" of specific rotations anymore. FS calculates the power of each shot on the fly and priorizes them accordingly. So if youīve got a ArP heavy build it should theoretically recommend casting Steady Shot over Arcane on its own.

I'm currently running an "ArP MM" spec. That is, I'm specced into 3 ISS and no Imp Arcane and, thus, drop arcane from my rotation in favor of another steady. This seems to be one of the new rotations that you could easily pick up by looking at the talent tree.

Ive been eyeballing this for a few days.. It looks SWEET!!! Now that I finally made the decision to give up camping Loque *cry* I am speccing MM to start raiding again.. This is just the jumpstart I need to get my rotation down. Cant wait to test it out man, THANKS!!

Finally done with the next version. As thereīve been some major changes to the core of the addon there may be some new bugs but overall it seems stable enough to post here again.
From my limited testing it should work with every language again. If some of you folks with clients using other languages than english are getting errors - please let me know.

I think Iīve found the reason for the Serpent Sting bug. Itīs going to be fixed with the way Iīm handling buffs/debuffs in the next version.

That sounds great if you can get it working.

After more simulations and real testing I'm not sure the arcane/aimed priority is that important anyways. It's definitely not a big enough dps change either way to worry about right now.

Iīm currently in the process of implementing the code to dynamically calculate the exact shot damage of every shot based on the players stats (and target debuffs) including Glyphs and Talents. The Goal will be to sort the priorities on the fly. This means Iīm not inclined spending my time working on something thatīd essentially be nothing more than a bandaid.

That beeing said Iīm asking for your patience as I am still kind of new to wow AddOns and still need to learn how to do things so itīs taking a few more days.

Don't need a full GUI or fully customizable shot priority, but having the option of switching Arcane and Aimed would be handy. There's a lot of discussion about this currently and I think it comes down to which glyphs and talents you have.

I think this happened when addon suggest fire serpent too early (2s), when you fire serpent and no better shot available, addon still show second serpent for cca 0.5s, maybe delay or lag.

Ok, this mirrors my experience, although I hadn't correlated when it was happening with what was going on in the fight. The night I'd noticed it the most, was when we killed Ignus & Kolo.

Mhh, thereīs a function thatīs supposed to hide the frames when YOU get into a vehicle and both getting gripped by Kologarn or put into the pot of Ignis are considered as beeing in a "vehicle" by the UI. So my guess is it triggers not only when you go into a vehicle yourself but also when someone else does. Iīm gonna have to check that - thanks.

edit: on Kologarn when he yells: I will squeeze the life from you!

looks like frames hide every time when boss imobilize someone in raid

edit 2: sometimes serpent sting show twice in row.

Ok, I just tried the Rotation display method and I get and error that says:

interface/addons/faceshooter/faceshooter.lua:1243: attempt to index field 'lastshot' (a nil value)

I'm SV. I didn't really notice a pattern as far as it happening on specific shots. When it happens, all frames dissapear, not just the shots frame. (I had Shots, Aspect & Sniper frames enabled)

I'll play with it at a dummy later and see if I can replicate outside of a raid.
