FaceShooter is an addon for hunters that tries to predict which shot should be used next based on a dynamically created priority list and shows it as an icon.

So far It also includes frames for
  • the estimated time-to-life of and dps on your current target (based on itīs healthloss over time)
  • switch alerts for Aspect of the Viper on low mana and Dragonhawk at high mana (you choose the threshold)
  • sniper training - icon turns green if the buff has just been refreshed, red if itīs going to fall off if you keep moving, normal in between and disappears if youīve lost the buff.
Each of those frames as well as the main shot-recommendation frame are optional and can be turned on/off, scaled, moved etc.

DISCLAIMER: Itīs still rather betaish and doesnīt include a GUI for configuration yet. You can access all options via /fs or /faceshooter. It also may contain bugs (especially for the BM priority list as I didnīt test that very much myself so far). For more information you can check the Useful Add-Ons/Mods thread at the elitist jerks forum hunter board. It does not work for non-hunter classes or below lvl 80.

CREDITS: I got my idea as well as parts of the original code from FaceMauler from Yukizawa of Aggramar which is basically the same addon for feral (cat) druids.

- complete priority list overhaul. Instead of a pre-determined static priority list for each talent tree FS now dynamically creates the list based on current real-time calculated shot damage

Very nice addon.

I haven't had a chance to play around with it too much tonight as I installed this halfway through a raid. The description doesn't explain the the Rotation Option does. Could you explain what makes it different from the Default?

Also is there a way to customize the shot priority?

Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what future versions of this addon will have.

took this for a spin in Ulduar tonight, and really love the concept... unfortunately, the mod seems to dissapear randomly. After about 3-4 shots, it will return... but will then dissapear again.


edit: seems to only do it if the frames are locked.

A GUI for the options doesnīt have particular high priority at the moment - sorry. Iīm more concerned about the accuracy of the recommendations and improvements to the other frames.
There ainīt that many options so using the slash commands should be bearable for the time beeing.

Expanding it to the next (few) spells isnīt possible right now. I might implement it at some future point but right now this too isnīt one of my top priorities.

Well I guess thatīs a matter of taste. Personally Iīm using the less flashy default method right now. That beeing said I do like the rotating style too (which is why I left it as an option in first place). The default method just fells... well more defaultish.
Also the option of having the rotating display method may become more obvious by the time thereīs a GUI for the options.

Wow, i'm quite happy someone remembered hunters. I've been meaning to do an addon like this. I started a while back to study the Face addons like melter, mauler, and the ret pally one, but was side tracked by school and work. If there's anything i can help on to push progress on this addon, i'd be glad to help.

Edit:
How do i make the frame expand to include the next or next 2 spells? For example right next to Serpent Shot the Chimera shot would show up indicating that it will be next for use.
