FaceShooter is a shot recommendation addon for hunters.

Based on your resources like cooldowns and focus it tries to recommend which spell should be to cast next.
It is a complete rewrite of my former version of FaceShooter (which is broken as of 4.0.1). It doesn't include all of the original addons features yet but I'm planning on including them later on.

NEWS:
I've updated FaceShooter for 5.0.4 since it seemed like there weren't that many changes to our rotation. That being said, I'll propably not maintain this Addon much longer. So if someone else feels like taking over, please let me know. Otherwise you might try Spellflash in addition to one of the hunter modules or some other alternative Addon instead.

Right Right I meant Prioritization, There is some recent talk about this subject on EJ forums. This is also where the author first took suggestions and had a beta for this addon. http://elitistjerks.com/f74/t45219-h..._ons_mods/p13/

So from what I have seen the question seems to be .. what is more accurate? The agreed upon prioritization for arp mm, Srp,Chim,SSx4 OR FS using it's calculations and firing Arcane. and if so does this take in account using more mana aka viper sooner.. arp is a different beast to model

It's no rotation. It's suggesting shot based on which shot does the most
damage, based on buffs, debuffs and "time left until dead" on your target.

I guess at that time, the Arcane shot makes enough damage to be recommended.

Arp MM

Hello, I was wondering if you can add an option to totally exclude Arcane Shot from rotation for Arp mm hunters. It doesn't recommend it alone self buffed on target dummies, but when in 25 man raid it does. Am I missing something?

Some glitches though, as it disappear in battlegrounds and some instances.

The only thing I could think about from the top of my head beside the wrong class would be the level. Is your toon level 80? If not thatīs the reason for FS not working.

I must be doing something wrong

I cannot get this to work for me. It is in my Addons folder and the addons manager says it is enabled, but I get nothing with either my draenei hunter or my blood elf hunter. When I type /fs or /faceshooter it says to type /help. It looks like it is not recognizing me as a hunter and so not loading at all. Any suggestions? Thanks!

First of all sorry for the long absence, Iīve been (and still am) rather busy moving to a new place so I didnīt have much time to check here much less working on FS or posting replies. Iīll be back doing updates more frequently as soon as Iīm done with that.

Not likely to happen anytime soon. As of now Iīve got no clue how to make an AddOn ButtonFace (or similar) compatible and thereīre a lot of "technical" things Iīd like to add/fix before working on "cosmetics" - sorry.
When I include a GUI that wonīt touch the slash commands. So if you prefer using them you shouldnīt feel any difference.

I'm seeing this behavior as well. And while you're correct in that there's no specific rotations anymore the point of ArP build is to have your Chimera always eat any ISS procs. So while Faceshooter might be correct in estimating that AS will be the most damaging shot to fire (especially after ISS proc), fact is that you really don't want to do that.
An option to completely exclude AS from estimation routine would be nice.
I see where youīre coming from. I guess it wonīt be very difficult to make FS not recommanding AS while youīve got ISS up. Thatīd make the option to completely exclude it redundant, right? Iīll add it to my todo list for the next version.

First off thanks a lot for this great addon!

Am I missing something. I noticed with the 7 series every time I switch targets and even when already in combat I am advised to throw Hunter's mark. This is extremely annoying in Ulduar I mean so many petty adds that don't seem to deserve a mark.. Example: Hodir Ice Blocked peeps with 100k life .. hunters mark.. Yogg every weakened add with 200k life .. a mark ugggh Lol am I missing something?

Edit: Just to add a few more examples...

Emalon: Switching to charged minion.. Hunter's mark.. before Es? Then back to Emalon .. Hunter's Mark.. The problem is even if I don't put a mark on minion it will still be there glaring me in the face blocking other shot icons until I use it. I am not trying to complain, I really am not. I would just like input from someone that handles this same situation.
FS recommending HM even for adds is not a bug. I used to think it was a waste on trash too but after I did some calculations I was surprised just how powerful it is. Letīs assume 1 AP is 0,6 dps - thatīs about where it should be with rather good gear according to shandaras hunter spreadsheet. Letīs further assume your target has an estimated time to life of 20s - also not unrealistic for your average trash mob. Thatīs 0.6 * 500 * 20 = 6000. So even if itīs for a mere 20s a HM is roughtly worth 6000 dmg per Hunter in the raid and TSA, Glyph of HM and IHM talent will further improve itīs value.

That beeing said even though itīs not a downright bug and propably vastly underestimated by most people I guess FS may still overvalue HM a bit right now due to low initial TTL estimations and the rather high AP to DPS ratio based on very good equipment that assumes stand and shoot fight. I guess Iīll tweak it a bit on both ends in future versions.

Now the window in the middle of my screen has dissapeared and I cannot get it back, i have even remeved the addon, downloaded a new version and have the same problem, any ideas?

I am using bartender 4 as well as the usual raiding addons but dont think they are causing the problem.

Though I canīt tell what exactly the problem is Iīd advise to delete the corrosponding savedvariable files in your wtf folder (only those belonging to faceshooter!). This should completely reset the AddOn to how it used to be on your first installation.

really nice mod but help please ;)

Used faceshooter very successfully in a few ulduar 25 runs, it really helped me not to miss explosive and kill shot procs.

Now the window in the middle of my screen has dissapeared and I cannot get it back, i have even remeved the addon, downloaded a new version and have the same problem, any ideas?

I donīt understand what youīre trying to tell me here. Thereīs no "picking up" of specific rotations anymore. FS calculates the power of each shot on the fly and priorizes them accordingly. So if youīve got a ArP heavy build it should theoretically recommend casting Steady Shot over Arcane on its own.

I'm currently running an "ArP MM" spec. That is, I'm specced into 3 ISS and no Imp Arcane and, thus, drop arcane from my rotation in favor of another steady. This seems to be one of the new rotations that you could easily pick up by looking at the talent tree.
