Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.3.0
by: Neal, ballagarba

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Tanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something!

How can I move the player, target and focus frame?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button to move them. This only works outside of combat!

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavreset to reset the position of the player, target and/or focus frame.
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/wm, /worldmarkers, /rm or /raidmarkers to show world raid markers.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.

The latest updates and changes can be found on Github.

- Party, arena and boss frames now movable while pressing alt-shift and dragging (outside of combat).

v7.0.0

Huge props to thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain who basically made all the work!

- nPower has been removed in favour for the new nameplate and resource options in Legion.
- nPlates has been removed. Too much work was required to make it compatible with Legion, and it didn't offer much functionality over the default nameplates. Might, or might not make a comeback in the future.
- nMainbar added a bar to toggle the bags.
- Item level has been removed nTooltip.
- The "disable fade" option has been removed from nTooltip.
- The custom drop down to move player/target/focus frame has been removed and replaced with the same mechanism used for the pet-/stancebar; i.e. press alt-shift and drag with your mouse. A new slash command has also been added to reset the frames (/neavreset).

i have only noticed 1 problem. which really isn't a problem just something that either hasn't been done yet or just hasn't been uploaded with it yet.

the icon for garrisons isn't themed with beautycase to match.

That's it.

infact i installed rMedia and SquidMod (and updates) to try and achieve an iron horde them with it, and i got everything, except i can't find artwork that really fits it on the sides, and if i did find some, i would have a hard time figuring out how to add it into it. so for now, i opened a thread about it in the forums here.

Uploaded a new version (v6.0.0) which contains all fixes previously only available from GitHub. I figured it was due for an upload here since WoD launches in a couple of hours.

Most crucial bugs have been fixed, but there might be some quirks remaining, especially if you change any of the settings I haven't tried myself like "disableFade" or "reactionColoring" for nTooltip which are know bugs.

Aside from that there might be some missing class specific stuff like healing indicators on the raid frames and similar. Let me know if that's the case.

Hey all, another question if you don't mind.

For nMainbar, I would like my BottomRight hotbar to only have 5 squares on it. Is there a way to configure this? I looked through all of the LUA files in nMainbar and couldn't find any settings relating to what I'm trying to do.

It's not possible at the moment, or at least not with nPlates.

Delete the addon called "evl_RaidStatus".

Are you pulling from the github link on the main page or just downloading from wowinterface?

Github is the up to date version, wowinterface has not been updated and wont be till all the bugs are worked threw.

Also keep an eye on the comments on the github page if there is a newer comment then the last time you downloaded that means there was a fix.

What it looks like is that you probably have an out of date AddOn and one th one character you marked the load Out of date button and on the rest you didn't.

When you log in to WoW and see your Character Screen click the button in the lower left hand corner that says AddOns and see if any are Out Of Date if so check to see if they are updated by the Author, if not some times with this kinda patch there is a tone of stuff that changed and just checking the load out of date button doesn't work.

Sorry about the long winded reply.

And as ballagarba said enable lua errors also BugGrabber and BugSack are great addons to always have installed if you use addons this will help you define the issues for the Authors.

There's probably some Lua error happening preventing the rest of the UI to load properly. You need to enable Lua errors[1], it could also just be that for that specific character some add ons are disabled. Have a look to make sure all add ons are activated.

I like how Neav enhances the default party UI and would like to keep that during non-raids. How do I set it up so that during dungeons, I could have that, but it would switch to Raidframes in LFR/Normals? Or how would I disable Neav's stuff, and only use the Blizzard Raidframes all the time?
Ok what is happening is you need to go into the config.lua file of oUF_NeavRaid and change some of the options.

Here is the path to get to the config file: Interface>AddOns>oUF_NeavRaid>config.lua

Open the config.lua file with your favorite text editor (I recommend Notepad++). find the following code and make the changes:

Change this
Code:
    units = {
        ['raid'] = {
            showSolo = true,
            showParty = true,
To this
Code:
    units = {
        ['raid'] = {
            showSolo = false,
            showParty = false,
Then save the file. Once saved run WoW, if WoW is already running type /reload in your chat and hit enter.

Hope this helps.

Coke

EDIT: Also I belive the reason your third pic show the over lap of the default blizzard raid frames is because you did not close wow then reopen it, when trying to disable addons to completely get rid of them you need to log out of WoW and remove them, the build it AddOns button wow has now does not completely get rid of the addon.
Poked around the config files and found this. Thanks a ton.

Come on dude, it says right on the front page that he won't help with questions and that all the settings are located at the config files. One glance at the ouf_neavrt config file and you would have solved this "issue".
I was asking Balla, who has been helpful. I don't see this ouf_neavrt file anywhere. I've looked through all the folders. Thanks for being rude instead of helping, though!
If you are this clueless you should probably be looking for another UI to use, sorry.

Guys, relax

To disable the raid frames you just have to delete the oUF_NeavRaid addon.
