Neav UI  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.0.0
by: Neal, ballagarba

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPower (gone, but making a comeback)
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Tanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something!

How can I move the player, target and focus frame?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button to move them. This only works outside of combat!

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavreset to reset the position of the player, target and/or focus frame.
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/wm, /worldmarkers, /rm or /raidmarkers to show world raid markers.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.

The latest updates and changes can be found on Github.

v7.0.0

Huge props to thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain who basically made all the work!

- nPower has been removed in favour for the new nameplate and resource options in Legion.
- nPlates has been removed. Too much work was required to make it compatible with Legion, and it didn't offer much functionality over the default nameplates. Might, or might not make a comeback in the future.
- nMainbar added a bar to toggle the bags.
- Item level has been removed nTooltip.
- The "disable fade" option has been removed from nTooltip.
- The custom drop down to move player/target/focus frame has been removed and replaced with the same mechanism used for the pet-/stancebar; i.e. press alt-shift and drag with your mouse. A new slash command has also been added to reset the frames (/neavreset).
- Misc bugs and fixes to make it compatible with Legion.

v. 6.2.0

- Support for patch 6.2.0
- Removed glow from the spiral on healing indicators
- Level text should now be properly centered on the player and target frame

Thanks in advance.
If you look in the nChat.lua scroll down untill you see:
Code:
CreateBorder(ChatFrame1EditBox, 11, 1, 1, 1, -2, -1, -2, -1, -2, -1, -2, -1)
Above this code add the following code:
Code:
CreateBorder(ChatFrame1, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame2, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 27, 5, 27, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame3, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame4, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
which should make it look something like this:
Code:
CreateBorder(ChatFrame1, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame2, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 27, 5, 27, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame3, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame4, 11, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 6)
CreateBorder(ChatFrame1EditBox, 11, 1, 1, 1, -2, -1, -2, -1, -2, -1, -2, -1)
Thats what i did. Not to sure if this is the right way to do it. I grabbed it from the older nChat before the last release.

And just a fyi for people like me that didn't like the tabs fadeing out, I change the code at the very top of the nChat.lua file to the fallowing:
Code:
DEFAULT_CHATFRAME_ALPHA = 0
CHAT_FRAME_FADE_OUT_TIME = 0
CHAT_TAB_HIDE_DELAY = 0
CHAT_FRAME_TAB_NORMAL_MOUSEOVER_ALPHA = .8
CHAT_FRAME_TAB_NORMAL_NOMOUSE_ALPHA = .8
CHAT_FRAME_TAB_SELECTED_MOUSEOVER_ALPHA = .8
CHAT_FRAME_TAB_SELECTED_NOMOUSE_ALPHA = .8
This made it so it didnt fade so much that it was hard to see what channel I was accually in.

Hope this helps.

You can copy/paste the bits of code you want to use from my addon, gmLayout, into Neal's nChat if you wish.

Just a minor chat bug... any new tabs your create sometimes don't appear when you hover over frame with your mouse. You can still click on the empty space to bring out the tab but you can't see them until you do. Doesn't seem to happen consistently so I can't figure out what causes it.

Re: Change number of addons displayed - nMinimap clock mouseover

Code:

    local addons = {}

    local gradient = {0, 1, 0, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0}

    for index = 1, GetNumAddOns() do
        if (IsAddOnLoaded(index)) then
            local memory = GetAddOnMemoryUsage(index)
            total = total + memory

            entry = {
                name = GetAddOnInfo(index),
                memory = memory
            }

		tinsert(addons, entry)
			table.sort(addons, function(a, b)
				return a.memory > b.memory
			end)
		end
	end
    end
I thought changing "local addons = {}" to "local addons = 20" would work, but didn't.
a simple fix for the massive addon list is to simply add the fallowing line:
Code:
if memory > 500 then
when you add this line the list will only populate with addons that use more then 500 MB of memory.

here is what mine looks like:
Code:
    for index = 1, GetNumAddOns() do
        if (IsAddOnLoaded(index)) then
            local memory = GetAddOnMemoryUsage(index)
            total = total + memory

            entry = {
                name = GetAddOnInfo(index),
                memory = memory
            }
			if memory > 500 then

			tinsert(addons, entry)
				table.sort(addons, function(a, b)
					return a.memory > b.memory
				end)
			end
	end
    end
Hope this help you out.

That is why they are acting the way they are for you after you move them.

You need to directly edit the positions in oUF_NeavConfig.lua (starts at line 24 if you are using SciTE-WOWInterface Editor).
Interesting, I used them before the update with no issues, but thanks.

Some modifications to nChat.lua, join/leave/change channel messages are no longer formatted as they should. So, change the lines 50 to 53 (I hope...) to:
Code:
CHAT_YOU_CHANGED_NOTICE_BN = '# |Hchannel:%d|h%s|h'
CHAT_YOU_JOINED_NOTICE_BN = '+ |Hchannel:%d|h%s|h'
CHAT_YOU_LEFT_NOTICE_BN = '- |Hchannel:%d|h%s|h'
CHAT_SUSPENDED_NOTICE_BN = '- |Hchannel:%d|h%s|h'

If you have more than one RealID friend online, you can invite them to a conversation. It's like talking in a channel.
