Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.0.3
by: Neal, ballagarba

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Tanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something!

How can I move the player, target and focus frame?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button to move them. This only works outside of combat!

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavreset to reset the position of the player, target and/or focus frame.
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/wm, /worldmarkers, /rm or /raidmarkers to show world raid markers.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.

The latest updates and changes can be found on Github.

v7.0.3

- nPlates and nPower are back thanks to thomasjohnshannon.
- Added option to oUF_Neav to show target debuffs above the player frame.
- Added option to oUF_Neav to only show player buffs/debuffs on target.
- Added a slash command (`/neavbag`) to nMainbar to toggle the new bag bar.
- Made the arena and boss frame moveable by pressing shift-alt and dragging (outside of combat).
- The alert frame (where garrison missions etc. show up) has been moved to the top instead of the bottom.
- Party, arena and boss frames now movable while pressing alt-shift and dragging (outside of combat).

v7.0.0

Huge props to thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain who basically made all the work!

- nPower has been removed in favour for the new nameplate and resource options in Legion.
- nPlates has been removed. Too much work was required to make it compatible with Legion, and it didn't offer much functionality over the default nameplates. Might, or might not make a comeback in the future.
- nMainbar added a bar to toggle the bags.
- Item level has been removed nTooltip.
- The "disable fade" option has been removed from nTooltip.
- The custom drop down to move player/target/focus frame has been removed and replaced with the same mechanism used for the pet-/stancebar; i.e. press alt-shift and drag with your mouse. A new slash command has also been added to reset the frames (/neavreset).
- Misc bugs and fixes to make it compatible with Legion.

nPlates is still listed under the included addons. (nPower can stay since it may be coming back soon anyway.)

neav raid frames

Hi First, I adore this UI, especially the raid frames! They are so simplistic, yet show me everything I need without over-complicating the healing experience--it's perfection! I also love being able to alter my preferences in the code files, rather than dealing with in-game menus.

That said, just prior to 7.0.3, and now post-7.0, the Neav update has affected the raid component (for me). Every time I zone into an LFR, for example, I experience a tremendous drop in frame rates (game becomes unplayable)--the raid frames only seem to "bug" when I join a group/instance. Disabling oUF_NeavRaid solves the frame rate issue.

Prior to 7.0, I was able to use an older oUF_NeavRaid file with all other components updated to solve whatever was happening. At present, however, that didn't work.

I noticed that "heal prediction" indicators are appearing when there are no heals (seems bugged): I'm not sure if this is causing the issue or adding to it or if it's just a symptom of another issue.

I'm sorry I have no better descriptors, but I wanted to bring this up because I love this UI so much, especially the raid frames. If you need any further details (like screenshots), let me know.

No, unfortunately not. The only thing you can do is disable the "Always Show ActionBars" option, but it won't do what you want.

I've uploaded a new version. Huge thanks to thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain who's done most of the work!! However, there's some stuff to note:

- nPower and nPlates are gone. They might, or might not make a comeback at a later stage. But for now you will have to make do with the new UI elements introduced in Legion.
- The custom tooltip on the player, target and focus is gone. So to move those frames around we've adapted a similar mechanism as the one you'd use to move the petbar around. Just press shift-alt and drag the frame (outside of combat!). There's also a new slash command (/neavreset) to reset the position of these frames.
- Some options that some people might've used are gone as well, simply because they were too buggy.
- There's a new "toggle bag" feature which is useful when you want to get access to bagbar, you can see it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EASp12m_GzQ

There might still be issues, especially if you're using non-default options which hasn't been tested. But it's mostly working at least

I don't play with that option, but I'll have a look to see if I can fix it. Thanks for reporting!

Back in cata I was able to change the hotkey text color by changing

Code:
HotKeyText = { 0.6, 0.6, 0.6 },
but now it only changes the color of keybinds on emtpy buttons like so

and I assume this part in the config is for items on your bar (such as trinkets?)

Code:
IsEquipped = { 0, 1, 0 },
I wanted to change the bright green color of equipped items to something darker but changing that also does nothing.

Also... when I submit a ticket to Blizz where is the icon that tells me how long till its answered? if I remember correctly the icon used to show up somewhere around the picomenu button but it doesn't anymore... I don't know if it was actually this version of nmainbar that did it or a fix in the comments years ago but could that be fixed? Having to disable it just to see how long is left gets annoying :/

nPlates, I know there are alot of nameplates out there, but the one with neav UI was special to me, I liked it, why did you remove it?

nPower, I know the new expansion has one built-in, but also the neav ui one is kinda unique and I liked it, specially the way the combo points show in numbers which is different from the built-in one in legion.
nPlates was removed because it will more or less require a complete rewrite to get working for Legion, and there's just no time to fix it (or I don't have the time at least). So I decided to remove it, but it might, or might make a comeback at a later stage.

nPower was mostly removed because we thought it kinda was obsoleted by the new thingie in Legion. However I've considered bringing back nPower just to skin and tweak the default frames. But if people really miss it in its old form, I guess I could be convinced of that as well.

I thought I had fixed that a long time ago, are you sure you're running the latest release? But it's been a while since I logged in, and even longer since hovered the bnet icon. So maybe something has been introduced recently in a.

Where has the latest release, here or on github? at the time of the error above I was using it from git, downloaded yesterday.

Deleted it today and downloaded it from here and now when I hover over the b.net icon I get this:
