Automatic guild recruitment spam.

Features

Default spam channel is set to Guild Recruitment
Interval your advertising; default: 5 minutes (300 seconds)
Anti-Spam feature for guildies with same addon
Sync option for grabbing guildies ad
Posts in Trade chat when in major cities otherwise General chat, Looking For Group or Local Defense
Does not spam while in instance or combat, including pvp and wintergrasp

Slash Commands
Syntax: /dirtyrecruit <command> <args>

version - Shows addon version.
on/off - Enable/disable advertising.
config - Shows the configuration panel.
reset - Resets all data to original.
sync <character> - Syncs data from a character.
test - Prints out a test advertisement for private viewing.
help - Shows addon help.

Another suggestion, I trigger other guildies addons to reset their timer if another guildies advertisement is running so that there is only one per 15 minutes from the whole guild even if every single person in the guild is running it.

I was thinking of doing a sync type thing to copy over teh advertisement and time interval. I use the addon message function to make sure other guildies dont spam. I do the same thing and reset the timer for them so its only that one person who spammed first.

Have you had problems with long text? A friend said he had a cut-off on the text he entered.

I'm working on getting the GuildRecruitment channel to default.

Understandable. =) The channel is GUILDRECRUITMENT in the API I think, and you type /join GuildRecruitment to join it. That's with the US/Eng client.

It's possible but I honestly don't know what the name of the channel is.

I'd also like to note that spamming in trade actually works for when people are already in a guild but the raid times are not in conjunction with their schedule. Can you set it to go to the Guild Recruitment channel? You can join the Guild Recruitment channel manually, and many people - even those with a guild - spend time there. Can you not do a check to see if the user is in the Guild Recruitment channel, then broadcast to that channel, falling back to Trade and General after that?

The Guild Recruitment channel is only if you are not in a guild. QQ to Blizzard about that, not me. Infact, it was my intention to make Guild Recruitment the default over the other channels but I could not do this.
