LUI v2211 Dragonflight 10.0.2 Edition, with new versioning

Important:
- For technical support please go to the LUI Discord Server

To access the Twitter integration stuff, either disable the Chat module or type /share

If you are doing a new install and you see that the frames are overlapping, or unaligned, you need to move the frames yourself:
Chat (BottomLeft): Go over it and right click on "General" tab of the chat frame, click Unlock Window and drag the tab around until you have the frame in a position you like.
Omen (MiddleLeft): Type "/omen config" (without quotes) and uncheck Lock Omen, drag it around, once you're done, check Lock Omen again.
Recount (MiddleRight) Type "/recount config" (without quotes) and go to Window and uncheck Lock Window. Move it around, and lock it back up when you're done. You're free to re-enable the Report, File, Config icons if you want.
Raid (BottomRight): Type "/lui", go in Unitframes and change the Raid settings. Then move the lone raid frame with your name around. You may need to reload UI for changes to apply (Fix pending)

LUI v3.5.2
---------------------

UI Elements:
- New texture for the infotext bar at the top. This one is much much larger. There should be no differences for people using small resolutions (up to 1680x1050) and should come as a nice feature for people using larger ones (1920x1020) or even have dual/triple monitor setups.
- You can now attach the Raid Texture Panel to Blizzard's default raid frames by using the dropdown menu.

Unitframes:
- Vengeance has been updated again.
- Added Firelands Stuff to Raid Debuffs Icons, if you are using the LUI raid frames instead of Grid.
- Fixed a few issues with Health and Power Updates.
- If a boss has an Alternate Power, it will be displayed in place of the power bar. An example would be Onyxia and her Electrical Charge bar.
- Fixed some issues with the Reputation and Experience bars.
- Fixed issues when petframe was disabled.
- Added some more options concerning Party Frame Visibility

Infotext:
- Fixed the faction logo for BattleNet Friends. So now you can tell your friends are being traitors and will be marked with traitorous logos next to their opposite-faction characters.

Fader:
- Fixed a few comat issues.

Chat:
- Potentially fixed an error that would appear on extremely rare cases, and would end up disappearing after the ui is reloaded. Written as "potentially" due to the extremely rare and probably unreproducible nature of said error.

Extra Modules:
- There was a screw up in the 3.5.1 release that caused the Interrupt and Merchant module (after following instructions) to still not work. This has been fixed.
- Along the lines, the Merchant module has been rewritten to fixes any errors that caused its exclusion in the first place.
- Some options of the Merchant module (such as the Item Quality) may have been reset as a result of this.
- Meh

LUI v3.5.1
---------------------

Addon Support:
- Added fix for Recount having huge font unless modified. You no longer need to modify Recount to have LUI's intended font size.
- You can now choose the font size you want for Recount under the options - General > Addons

Unitframes:
- Fixed an issue with the unitframes when they were disabled.
- The Player XP and Rep Bar should now come in front of the Health/Mana Text when mouse is hovered.
- Fixed an issue with Unitframes Layouts causing havoc under certain situations
- The Swing Timer and Vengeance Bars have been updated.

InfoText:
- Fixed an issue related to fonts that appeared under certain situations.
- Updated to 4.2's Combat Log Event to fix lag during combat.
- Fixed an issue with the Friends infotext not displaying in 4.2.

MicroMenu:
- There is a new button on the micromenu for the Encounter Journal, you can find it marked with a skull, next to the dungeon finder button.
- Fixed an issue with the talent point reminder where it wasn't the intended color if you selected to use a white colored micromenu.

Options:
- Sorted the options menu so everything should be easier to find, including clicking on the white Module section to easily enable/disable certain modules within LUI

Extra Modules:
- Remove the Merchant extra module from the basic package because it is not handled by anyone on the dev team, and it is causing quite a few errors to many people.
- For LUI to load extra modules, you need to move the Extras.Xml file out of the modules folder (next to the LUI.xml), this was done to prevent your Extras.xml file from being overwritten if you were to update LUI.
- For those who had a working Merchant module and want to continue using them, just move the Extras.xml file out of the modules folder.

LUI v3.5
---------------------
Unitframes

The LUI Unitframe is now embed with the LUI addon, no more troubles with oUF not being loaded on first install, bugging the whole process. (Somehow, i think someone will still manage it)
The Unitframes have been improved alot in terms of performance, and lots of bugs were fixed.
Options have been added to Import and Export new unitframes setups, as well as being able to switch between various setups without much hassle! Import a layout, or exporting one, may or may not cause severe lag.
Added an Alternative Power Bar, used by Blizzard for many raiding encounters.
Arena Frames were added, which include frames for your opponents, their pets and their targets.
Added Heal Predictions.
BossTarget Frames added, but disabled by default.
New Raid Frames have been added, in case you do not wish to use Grid or similar addons. Take note those are somewhat experimental for now.
Unitframes now uses the same raid icons textures as the nameplates, because those are 20% cooler.

DataText

DataText has been improved alot. Efficiency and performance went up to eleven.
Now have two more info text bars. Along with having things in the Top Left and Top Right, you can now have datatexts in the Bottom left and Bottom Right.
Removed most of the UI Reloads required when enabling / disabling things.
Most option changes are now instantaneous.
New entries: Currency, DualSpec and Instance Info datatexts.
Added option to choose if you want infotext to work during combat or not.
Added option to display Home or World Latency in the bar, or both.
Added option to display your combined gold on the server, or just the current toon's gold.
Left-Clicking on the Gold will now switch between server gold and toon gold. Instead of opening the bags.
Fixed the infamous INVITE PENDING issue with the calendar...again. Blame Blizzard for having buggy API, not us.

Bags

Fixed some other bugs that prevented the bags or bank from correctly updating.
Added the Sort Button fix.

Misc.

Blizzard Errors not disabled by default anymore. This should reduce confusion by alot.
Updated the ColorPicker to Ace3, no more Ace2 libraries!
Updated and Improved the AutoAccept Invites function.
Added the Merchant and Hix_Interrupter into the main UI. Mostly because of the cooked version in fact. Their original authors will still have to update them.

Just because you're a type of person that won't help without compensation does not mean others are like you. I do however agree with most of the sentiments here. There is a point where you are just trying to do too much and it's getting to the point where we may not see a release for a long while. I understand you want it to be perfect and bug free, however I think it may be better to either ask people to help you fix some of the bugs, or release it and have people help with whatever little you have left.

It's been a struggle for you to get it perfect while not working, and with your new job tomorrow (congratulations on that) you won't be able to dedicate anywhere near as much time as were initially.

I have been watching this a while now as I too am excited for a release of v3. A lot of the disapointment would just be coming from expectations of a release after hearing so from LUI.

Setbacks happen things crop up which cause delays of this nature, One thing that is on my mind is that there will always be Blizzard patches for WoW which will cause issues with addons and the UI in general.

I am not privy to the polish of v3 but at some point it does need to be released then supported with sub-versions as the more uncommon bugs crop up and patches are released in game.

In short I believe nothing is perfect especially in code changing environment such as World of Warcraft. Always two sides to a coin and a balance needs to be struck imo.

The above is my opinion and although I do wish the UI was released already I am not going to flame the man for a decision that is his.

This is not a flame but Lui's website and posting's of late have led to excitement, expectations and then follows the confusion and disapointment.

I would like to finish that I am looking forward to the release (whenever that may be) and thank Lui for his hard work with this project.

Wow really.....

I am very curious as to where all of you get your sense of entitlement. he is doing this for free when was the last time u put 200+ hours into something you were going to give away? this is absolutely pathetic. none of you are entitled to anything leave the guy alone. This is like watching someone complain about how there welfare check is late.... You'll get it when you get it just be thankful that people like this put time and effort into something that they will give out for free to the obnoxious masses.

Now, on to the point - I think you're trying too hard. This whole situation reminds me a whole lot about a game that was supposed to come out years ago, but didn't. Nor will it ever.

I'm talking about Duke Nukem: Forever. Now, when they started working on that game, it was what, back in 98-99'? I honestly don't remember.

Point is - when they started it they had ideas. Then as time progressed, they had even more ideas. And after that some more, and more. They wanted to make that game PERFECT, to be the best gaming experience ever, and that was what sealed it's fate. When they realized that the time span they had was not enough to implement all those ideas, they postponed it. Then after the 1st supposed release date, they postponed it some more, and then of course, even more. This whole situation you're in reminds me too much of that.

You're ONE person. You took upon yourself to create, and I quote, a "Next Generation World of Warcraft User Interface dedicated to replace the standard Blizzard UI in a way you cannot imagine."

When you were finished, you thought, oh well, lets just add a few more features. Then you thought, hey lets add support for over 9000 resolutions. Then you rewrote the entire installation. And I'm guessing there's even more, but I wasn't really paying attention.

What you have now - your UI for the resolutions that are already DONE... RELEASE IT. "Something is better than nothing". You have to learn when to STOP. Everything cannot be perfect. I am 100% positive, that even if you spent another 5 months on this UI (don't), bugs would be found and stuff wouldn't work, and you'd still have unsatisfied people.

Nothing is perfect. Get over it. Stop being a perfectionist, release what you already have, then add support for the other resolutions when you have the time. And seriously, what you have already is awesome, otherwise people wouldn't be asking for it.

There you have it, a long post but I had to speak my mind.

Good night, good luck on your new job and I hope you like it.
I'd actually have to agree with this post, perfection is great until it starts to get out of hand.

I've been stalking the comments for a while, seeing the updates Loui has and reading others' comments. I refrained from posting, but I guess support is support.

Loui - keep up the excellent work. I'm sure the vast majority of players appreciate everything you've done to keep us informed and the hard work you've put into this UI. I don't think any of us can truly understand the dedication you've put into something truly this spectacular. It's your UI. Spend as much time as needed on it.

He isn't getting paid for this. He's doing something he enjoys and giving it out for free. Some people just don't appreciate someone else's work...

PS - Good luck for tomorrow and all the best in the future. I'm certain that, if this project is anything to go by, you'll succeed with your dedication.

Now secondly, whether you are providing work for free or as a service, you should never give release time frame like you do. If you were to give a release dates and times the way you do, like that in any industry and fail to follow through, you would at best be out of a job, at worst facing severe lawsuits. The people you are supplying the product for do NOT care one way or another about excuses, they want results and by hanging the carrot at the end of a string the way you do, and at the last second pull it away, you only make yourself look unreliable and unprofessional.

Now this is not a troll post, this is just friendly advice...in any future services you may release, take the blizzard which we all know well and good, refuse to give any form of time frames until you are 100% sure it is ready to release...and even then delay by another month. Because to be honest i would rather wait weeks with minor updates, than be told its done and than not be supplied with the product.
But see Loui is NOT getting paid for this, he is doing it of his own free will, and he is entitled to release it or not the way he sees fit. If your life is really so interrupted and torn apart by a simple UI package not being released, then wow, maybe you should find something to occupy your time a little bit better.

Loui obviously wants to release this, but he's not going to release it without it being 100% to his own satisfaction. He thought it would be done today, he thought wrong, oh well. It's his project, that he is doing for free, on his own time and of his own free will, it is simply not up to you to decide or tell him how to handle his business.

He doesn't OWE you this UI, he doesn't owe any of us anything, some of you just need to stop posting without using your head and actually think about things a little bit instead of being so selfish.

i have to sleep because at the moment i'm looking like a zombie at thats no good first impression for tomorrow.

This is no company.. there is no marketing strategy or something else.
Thats just me with the UI... an UI for WoW.. not more, not less.

so please be patient and i hope to find some time in the next few days but as i told you already i will work until afternoon and have to raid nearly every day.

so good night and sorry.
as you said, i think you only have time to fix v3 during weekends, i do hope you will have more time to work on it during the working days, but according to your current situation, i think we only could have it on certain weekend in this month or next month or next next month~, i will wait for it and keep refresh the forum everyday. but the thing that annoys me is ur "promise" wont be true tonight~~~ anyway, as you said "its only you with the ui, no company no marketing strategy" i could understand~ i just wanna express myself at this moment~~ i am not blame you. ONLY THE WONDERFUL THING COULD MAKES PPL BE CRAZY lol~~
again good luck tomorrow~
