LUI v3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.9.9a
by: loui, Siku

LUI v3.9.9 - Legion 7.0

To access the Twitter integration stuff, either disable the Chat module or type /share

If you are doing a new install and you see that the frames are overlapping, or unaligned, you need to move the frames yourself:
Chat (BottomLeft): Go over it and right click on "General" tab of the chat frame, click Unlock Window and drag the tab around until you have the frame in a position you like.
Omen (MiddleLeft): Type "/omen config" (without quotes) and uncheck Lock Omen, drag it around, once you're done, check Lock Omen again.
Recount (MiddleRight) Type "/recount config" (without quotes) and go to Window and uncheck Lock Window. Move it around, and lock it back up when you're done. You're free to re-enable the Report, File, Config icons if you want.
Raid (BottomRight): Type "/lui", go in Unitframes, and unlock them. Then move the lone raid frame with your name around.

LUI v3.5.5

LUI v3.5.3

LUI v3.5.2

UI Elements:
- New texture for the infotext bar at the top. This one is much much larger. There should be no differences for people using small resolutions (up to 1680x1050) and should come as a nice feature for people using larger ones (1920x1020) or even have dual/triple monitor setups.
- You can now attach the Raid Texture Panel to Blizzard's default raid frames by using the dropdown menu.

- Vengeance has been updated again.
- Added Firelands Stuff to Raid Debuffs Icons, if you are using the LUI raid frames instead of Grid.
- Fixed a few issues with Health and Power Updates.
- If a boss has an Alternate Power, it will be displayed in place of the power bar. An example would be Onyxia and her Electrical Charge bar.
- Fixed some issues with the Reputation and Experience bars.
- Fixed issues when petframe was disabled.
- Added some more options concerning Party Frame Visibility

- Fixed the faction logo for BattleNet Friends. So now you can tell your friends are being traitors and will be marked with traitorous logos next to their opposite-faction characters.

- Fixed a few comat issues.

- Potentially fixed an error that would appear on extremely rare cases, and would end up disappearing after the ui is reloaded. Written as "potentially" due to the extremely rare and probably unreproducible nature of said error.

Extra Modules:
- There was a screw up in the 3.5.1 release that caused the Interrupt and Merchant module (after following instructions) to still not work. This has been fixed.
- Along the lines, the Merchant module has been rewritten to fixes any errors that caused its exclusion in the first place.
- Some options of the Merchant module (such as the Item Quality) may have been reset as a result of this.
- Meh

LUI v3.5.1

Addon Support:
- Added fix for Recount having huge font unless modified. You no longer need to modify Recount to have LUI's intended font size.
- You can now choose the font size you want for Recount under the options - General > Addons

- Fixed an issue with the unitframes when they were disabled.
- The Player XP and Rep Bar should now come in front of the Health/Mana Text when mouse is hovered.
- Fixed an issue with Unitframes Layouts causing havoc under certain situations
- The Swing Timer and Vengeance Bars have been updated.

- Fixed an issue related to fonts that appeared under certain situations.
- Updated to 4.2's Combat Log Event to fix lag during combat.
- Fixed an issue with the Friends infotext not displaying in 4.2.

- There is a new button on the micromenu for the Encounter Journal, you can find it marked with a skull, next to the dungeon finder button.
- Fixed an issue with the talent point reminder where it wasn't the intended color if you selected to use a white colored micromenu.

- Sorted the options menu so everything should be easier to find, including clicking on the white Module section to easily enable/disable certain modules within LUI

Extra Modules:
- Remove the Merchant extra module from the basic package because it is not handled by anyone on the dev team, and it is causing quite a few errors to many people.
- For LUI to load extra modules, you need to move the Extras.Xml file out of the modules folder (next to the LUI.xml), this was done to prevent your Extras.xml file from being overwritten if you were to update LUI.
- For those who had a working Merchant module and want to continue using them, just move the Extras.xml file out of the modules folder.

LUI v3.5

The LUI Unitframe is now embed with the LUI addon, no more troubles with oUF not being loaded on first install, bugging the whole process. (Somehow, i think someone will still manage it)
The Unitframes have been improved alot in terms of performance, and lots of bugs were fixed.
Options have been added to Import and Export new unitframes setups, as well as being able to switch between various setups without much hassle! Import a layout, or exporting one, may or may not cause severe lag.
Added an Alternative Power Bar, used by Blizzard for many raiding encounters.
Arena Frames were added, which include frames for your opponents, their pets and their targets.
Added Heal Predictions.
BossTarget Frames added, but disabled by default.
New Raid Frames have been added, in case you do not wish to use Grid or similar addons. Take note those are somewhat experimental for now.
Unitframes now uses the same raid icons textures as the nameplates, because those are 20% cooler.

DataText has been improved alot. Efficiency and performance went up to eleven.
Now have two more info text bars. Along with having things in the Top Left and Top Right, you can now have datatexts in the Bottom left and Bottom Right.
Removed most of the UI Reloads required when enabling / disabling things.
Most option changes are now instantaneous.
New entries: Currency, DualSpec and Instance Info datatexts.
Added option to choose if you want infotext to work during combat or not.
Added option to display Home or World Latency in the bar, or both.
Added option to display your combined gold on the server, or just the current toon's gold.
Left-Clicking on the Gold will now switch between server gold and toon gold. Instead of opening the bags.
Fixed the infamous INVITE PENDING issue with the calendar...again. Blame Blizzard for having buggy API, not us.

Fixed some other bugs that prevented the bags or bank from correctly updating.
Added the Sort Button fix.

Blizzard Errors not disabled by default anymore. This should reduce confusion by alot.
Updated the ColorPicker to Ace3, no more Ace2 libraries!
Updated and Improved the AutoAccept Invites function.
Added the Merchant and Hix_Interrupter into the main UI. Mostly because of the cooked version in fact. Their original authors will still have to update them.

Tyvm Loui for this update. I know the up's and down's of coding and programming. I know its no fun and tries your patience at every turn. Do your best, keep up the great work as you usually do and thanks for taking your personal time to provide this killer UI!

PS: I own Starcraft 2 CE! So this UI provides a nice feeling of familiarity

LUI v3.025 will not be playable with Patch4.0.

I'm working very hard and make some REALLY good progress.
LUI v3.3 (i'm gonna call it so) will not only be an playable version for Patch4.0 it will also include MANY new features and stuff i wanted to work on since months/years ago... so this update means a lot to me and is a big step into the right direction.

Here is a little teaser changelog for you:
- Support for ALL addons. (yes ALL!)

- Bars changed to Blizzard Standard Bars.
(In an awesome way! (you defenitely should give it a shot) but it also supports ALL other Bar Addons like Bartender/Dominus and so on. All Options are totally dynamice and will support your Bar addon.)

- Support for ALL RaidFrameAddons like Grid, Vuhdo, Healbot.
- Support for ALL DPS/HPS/TPS Meters like Recount, Omen, Skada.

- Added LUI Tooltip Module
- Added LUI Minimap Module
- Added LUI Omni CC Clone Module
- Added LUI Bags Module
- Added LUI WorldMap Module
- Added LUI Nameplate Module

- Added Individual Color Schemes

and many other stuff.

its gonna be a big update/upgrade and especially the support for all addons was promised a long time ago (with LUI v2) so it means really a lot to me and as you should know, my quality standards a very high... higher than ever before.. the one thing i learned within the years is that you should always try to make it perfect and give ANY little detail your maxium of attentation. No matter of costs and time. Long term you will benefit most of it.

With LUI v3.3 i also started to split LUI into modules.
This brings tons of benefits but you can imagine how time intensive this job is by splitting a file with hundreds of dependences and nearly 100k lines of code.

Most things are done but developing is not the only part. Before i can release something i have to test everything and so on... the normale procedure.

I'm very confident that this update will be worth the time we have to wait for it. So i hope you join my opinion.

I cannot and i will not give you any ETA... but it will take days... not weeks..

Ask for a temporary lock on the comments Sir, there is no need for people other than yourself to be posting here, especially with the UI not working until you update it.

It would also make any info that you have for us a little easier to find.

Just my 2 cents.

As much as I hope your not taking the time to read these forums, and just working on LUI, I was wondering if we could get even the roughest estimate of an ETA. Could we expect it in the next day or two, or a week, or god forbid, longer.

As I mentioned earlier, Awesome UI, and thank you for taking ur time to do it right and spending so much of your free time on it. You deserve a cake.

Tukui is anything BUT flawless at the moment. nameplates don't work, chat panels keep f*****g up, action bars keep reseting, and I'm using the latest version released today.

Looking forward to LUI for 4.0.1 don't rush it mate, we know how good you can make it, it'll be worth the wait.

I honestly am just hear to say, this is an amazing UI Suite, and really haven't found anything like it, both functionally and aesthetically. I await the v3.3 update patiently, even if that means I am coming here checking 2-3x times a day.

For all of you who say "the default UI is unplayable", have become spoiled by addons. It's perfectly playable, you just adapt. Guessing some of you who had early Beta access said things like "Oh, we can't use addons in Beta, it's totally unplayable!".

You need healbot? It's up to date. The WoW stock raid UI is actually DECENT now, so that solves healing.

DPSers? Recount works as does Omen. Issues solved.

Tanks? Again, Omen really.

And Bartender4 is updated too for everyone. DBM isn't yet, last I checked, but should be soon.

Fix what you need to fix with as few mods as possible and just be PATIENT. You are wasting your own money by not playing on what you claim to be "unplayable". That is your spoiled little self thinking you need to have the game handed to you on a silver platter like that, via add-ons. Learn to play with fewer, and your system will thank you for it.

As you can imagine, i'm never ever playing with the latest official LUI release... i always have something like an upcoming alpha/beta version on my pc.... and i have no intrest in dropping all my work and go back to the release version just because there is a patch coming.

its nice to see how much to you miss LUI, it is! but please dont let this thing bring so much drama up.

I know you said you don't want to give an ETA, but it would be really helpful to know if its going to be days/weeks/months. I don't want to spend a lot of extra time setting up a new UI that'll be used for a couple days then dropped ya know.

I can understand people frustration, especially people that need to raid on patch days, it’s also very hard to just change to a new UI without testing it first. People are allowed to be frustrated if they are constructive with it. Not all comments can be positive once you put it in a public domain, free or not.

Tukui had a working alpha version 2 months ago, beta 2 weeks ago and was almost bug free on Tuesday/Wednesday.

My point is, you want a working ui suites now, look someone else, if you want LUI who can't keep up with the changes due to time then just wait.
LUI is a great suite and I’m looking forward to the changes in due time.

I love this UI, but im on a raiding guild and i cant wait 3+ days for a patch to be applied.

i know Loui was a total diferent view and goal for its next version and i actually cant wait to see the result, but i will not use it for my main cause come Cata i need a working UI as soon as log in.

As the above mention TukUI is working flawless, but i decided not take any compilation that uses personal coding, on my main char, at least.

But i want to thank Loui for the work he as put into his project and wish u teh best of luck for the future, im sure gonna miss many of your features.
This pretty much says it all. Its hard to not have a UI 3days after the patch hit in a raiding. I mean I've had LUI since it was early V2. Logging on to wow atm with the stupid default UI is pain.

I mean its very understandable. Home slice(LOUI) doesnt have the time he would like(Assuming) to keep it up to date, which is cool and all but alot of need something right off the bat after a patch comes out. Also will most likely be switching to a different UI on my main.

LUI is still the best in my opinion.Props to you man and making it working out.
