You can place your configuration changes into AptechkaUserConfig/userconfig.lua to avoid overwriting them when updating. Reference config - Aptechka/config.lua.

What is UserConfig?
It's a separate addon that contains your personal settings.
Values from UserConfig replace default settings. That way you can safely update core module without losing your changes.
Or you can have 2 UserConfig modules.
It is also possible to add new skins as plugins, and switch between them depending on character class.

Lua knowledge is required?
Probably not, copy-pasting and changing values should be enough for most things.
But editor with Lua syntax highlighting will help you (SublimeText, SciTE, Notepad++). If you want to make your own skin you better be familiar with wow widget api.

What is priority?
When two or more actions assigned to the same spot are active, the one with higher priority is displayed.
Weakened soul is a good example. You won't see WS until PWS is still active.

What is "heal trace"?
That's when you want to know who exactly was healed by your Circle of Healing, Chain Heal, etc in the form of blinking indicator.

How to add new zones and spells for debuff loader?
Instances are identified by map id (assuming they have their own map).
To find out current zone map id type: /dump GetCurrentMapAreaID()
Map IDs are tied to instance name and instance name is tied to function that is pushing boss spells into your current spell set. More info inside userconfig file

What's that combat filtering option for?
Disabled until better days.
In 4.2 all autorefreshing spells (SWP-MF, Corruption-Haunt, Lifebloom, Renew-Chakra, etc) stopped generating SPELL_AURA_REFRESH event for combat log. So basically this feature is ruined until Blizzard fix this.
useCombatLogFiltering provides a huge perfomance boost over default behavior, which would be to listen only to UNIT_AURA event.
UNIT_AURA doesn't tell what exactly changed and every time addon had to scan current buffs/debuffs,
In raid combat unit_aura sometimes fired up to 8 times per second for each member with all the stacking trinkets and procs.
useCombatLogFiltering option moves this process mainly to combat log, where we can see what spell was updated.
Only if it's in our spell set it will update buff data for this unit.
The drawback is that it only works in combat log range, but it's big enough, and there's a fallback on throttled unit_aura (every 5s) for out of range units.
On lich king there was an issue, and maybe it's still present, that necrotic plague removal event didn't appear in combat log
and that caused glitches with boss debuff indicator. But that's a rare blizzard side bug.
Dispel idicators still work from unit_aura, so you'll see plague regardless as disease if you can dispel it.

How to change skin layout from config?
So to customize frame elements, you'll have to create a custom skin, inherit default skin stuff and then add to/change it. Easy...

How do I change the loadables.lua so that all ICC auras show up like center icons, just like GridStatusRaidDebuff?

I was used to how Grid's layout was also, but the only way to make it centered (as far as I know), is to have:

InjectorConfig.groupGrowth = "BOTTOM"
You'll have to center it in a 5 man and then groups will grow downwards.

The name of this is a little misleading, but all it does is change where the "drag handle" is when Injector is unlocked.

Awesome addon; I have been looking for an alternative to Grid for a while.

Is there any way to sort players alphabetically in groups?

I'm currently trying
InjectorConfig.anchorpoint = "BOTTOM"
but everytime i do so, next time i relogging the Raid isn't centered anymore
I'm really looking forward to get this thing working as i love it =)
Perhaps you have any idea how to keep the "grid" in the middle regardeless of the groupsize?

first of all, kudos to d87 for this awesome addon - i've been looking for a way to replace grid for some time, and Injector does the job beautifully.

a few things I'd like to ask/point out.

- eg. in Oculus, vehicle swap is not working for me. Players on dragons have their frame change color, but the displayed health is still the player's and not the dragon's. This is quite an issue while the Injector user is riding the green dragon and should heal the others :P

- regarding pet frames, I've activated them and they are displaying correctly, but they don't inherit the settings from the players' frames: health bar color is not inverted, HoT indicators are not displayed, out of range alpha does not work.

- other minor issues, like Rejuvenation indicators which are sometimes going crazy: if I place like 7-8 Rejuvs on the raid, they will eventually switch from like 3/4 duration remaining to empty squares and then back to almost-empty duration. Nothing game-breaking, just pointing that out.

Just to keep you busy, any word on a text indicator? Lifebloom is too hard to time with a corner indicator. Or if anyone has found a good way to show Lifebloom duration + stacks I'd love to hear it.

At the moment I'm using this as an icon option and using OmniCC as a timer (only thing missing is text colour based on stacks which I don't think is possible with OmniCC):

As far as I know, you can add any of the spell IDs listed and it will work fine.

maybe this is a noob question, but for example same boss abilities in ICC have different spell ids in 10man and 25man, heroic and normal mode, does this mean that I should add to loadables same ability several times but with different spell ids in order to see them all?

The other option i thought of (if possible) if you dont want to distinguish the MT, the Healer and DPS with ICONS in 5 mans how about ordering them.

For instance: Once a group is formed and you enter the instance, have the MT be the first Unit frame in the party, followed by the Healer, followed by the 3 DPS.
