Aptechka is a raid frames addon.

Addon is customized with lua config file
You can place your configuration changes into AptechkaUserConfig/userconfig.lua to avoid overwriting them when updating. Reference config - Aptechka/config.lua.
There's still some basic options available ingame from /apt console command. like positioning.

What is UserConfig?
It's a separate addon that contains your personal settings.
Values from UserConfig replace default settings. That way you can safely update core module without losing your changes.
Or you can have 2 UserConfig modules.
It is also possible to add new skins as plugins, and switch between them depending on character class.

Lua knowledge is required?
Probably not, copy-pasting and changing values should be enough for most things.
But editor with Lua syntax highlighting will help you (SublimeText, SciTE, Notepad++). If you want to make your own skin you better be familiar with wow widget api.

What is priority?
When two or more actions assigned to the same spot are active, the one with higher priority is displayed.
Weakened soul is a good example. You won't see WS until PWS is still active.

What is "heal trace"?
That's when you want to know who exactly was healed by your Circle of Healing, Chain Heal, etc in the form of blinking indicator.

How to add new zones and spells for debuff loader?
Instances are identified by map id (assuming they have their own map).
To find out current zone map id type: /dump GetCurrentMapAreaID()
Map IDs are tied to instance name and instance name is tied to function that is pushing boss spells into your current spell set. More info inside userconfig file

What's that combat filtering option for?
Disabled until better days.
In 4.2 all autorefreshing spells (SWP-MF, Corruption-Haunt, Lifebloom, Renew-Chakra, etc) stopped generating SPELL_AURA_REFRESH event for combat log. So basically this feature is ruined until Blizzard fix this.
useCombatLogFiltering provides a huge perfomance boost over default behavior, which would be to listen only to UNIT_AURA event.
UNIT_AURA doesn't tell what exactly changed and every time addon had to scan current buffs/debuffs,
In raid combat unit_aura sometimes fired up to 8 times per second for each member with all the stacking trinkets and procs.
useCombatLogFiltering option moves this process mainly to combat log, where we can see what spell was updated.
Only if it's in our spell set it will update buff data for this unit.
The drawback is that it only works in combat log range, but it's big enough, and there's a fallback on throttled unit_aura (every 5s) for out of range units.
On lich king there was an issue, and maybe it's still present, that necrotic plague removal event didn't appear in combat log
and that caused glitches with boss debuff indicator. But that's a rare blizzard side bug.
Dispel idicators still work from unit_aura, so you'll see plague regardless as disease if you can dispel it.

How to change skin layout from config?
So to customize frame elements, you'll have to create a custom skin, inherit default skin stuff and then add to/change it. Easy...

I'll grab a screenshot of the issue next time I log in and join party. What is happening is when I zone into a dungeon using the LFD mechanism it takes a long while for each party members frame to begin working correctly. They are listed as "Unknown" and the frame doesn't updated.

that's blizzard

Not sure what's the reason but I've got black lines coming down the indicators. In particular, this is only happening for "HELPFUL" spells. ("HARMFUL" seems to be fine).

Here is my InjectorConfig.SetupIndicators
seems that isn't the problem. and harmful/helpful spells aren't affecting indicators in any way except color.

I think I might have found my mistake...
I added 'showDuration = true' into my indicators, for example:

Removed 'showDuration' and it seem to be working fine now.


Also, though it's quite easy to add buffs/debuffs, it would be nice if more buffs/debuffs can be added so I do not have to keep changing the lua file each time there's a new update

I personally play a resto shaman and I've manually added a few more spells/buffs to be tracked which I found useful:

I started promoting this addon among my guildies, and some of our raidleaders found a problem with seeing who is offline or dead. I myself have noticed that at times people offline or dead would just show as out of range, i ll post a printscreen when it happens next time.

Again great addon!

I found some small issues.

First, the petframe. Id love to have it underneath of all groups. Didnt find a way to do this. So I decided to move it there manually. But the anchor for the pets is not showing if I unlock. Had to delete the following:

spell id is used to query localized spell name, so heroic/25m spells should work fine already.

i know it's inconvenient, but you're supposed to backup/restore/merge your changes when updating. i'm trying to keep things compatible, at least between major updates.

Also in loadables.lua, it would be nice if the PvP abilities can be shown in raid instances as well... Tanking cooldowns would be a nice addition as well.
pvp spells are loading for ToC, and you can make them load for any other raid yourself.
I'll add option to manually load spell sets, and tanking cooldowns as such set, which you can load when you really need to see them or embed into ICC chunk for example

btw, since 0.8.1.0 injector is light on cpu usage.

Could some1 help me refine death and offline function, so that text2 status would stay and not fade away as if person is just out of range.

No, but it's actually isn't that complicated, and default configuration serves as an example

With this addon gaining more and more popularity the flow of request features will never stop
tbh it's popularity is close to zero as always

This could be inserted by default in the druid layout imho. Especially healing halls of reflection is easier, when the layout shows, if the player already has abolish. Also seeing thorns could remember some trees, to buff the tanks .

Is there an option, to show Buffs (like Mark of the Wild), if the player is NOT buffed, and otherwise hide the indicator? Just curious.

Anyway, this is a great addon, i love it

Border?

Is there a way to add in a custom border? I'm trying to figure out how to get the "roth.tga" border from SharedMedia on each frame.
