Aptechka is a raid frames addon.

You can place your configuration changes into AptechkaUserConfig/userconfig.lua to avoid overwriting them when updating. Reference config - Aptechka/config.lua.

What is UserConfig?
It's a separate addon that contains your personal settings.
Values from UserConfig replace default settings. That way you can safely update core module without losing your changes.
Or you can have 2 UserConfig modules.
It is also possible to add new skins as plugins, and switch between them depending on character class.

Lua knowledge is required?
Probably not, copy-pasting and changing values should be enough for most things.
But editor with Lua syntax highlighting will help you (SublimeText, SciTE, Notepad++). If you want to make your own skin you better be familiar with wow widget api.

What is priority?
When two or more actions assigned to the same spot are active, the one with higher priority is displayed.
Weakened soul is a good example. You won't see WS until PWS is still active.

What is "heal trace"?
That's when you want to know who exactly was healed by your Circle of Healing, Chain Heal, etc in the form of blinking indicator.

How to add new zones and spells for debuff loader?
Instances are identified by map id (assuming they have their own map).
To find out current zone map id type: /dump GetCurrentMapAreaID()
Map IDs are tied to instance name and instance name is tied to function that is pushing boss spells into your current spell set. More info inside userconfig file

What's that combat filtering option for?
Disabled until better days.
In 4.2 all autorefreshing spells (SWP-MF, Corruption-Haunt, Lifebloom, Renew-Chakra, etc) stopped generating SPELL_AURA_REFRESH event for combat log. So basically this feature is ruined until Blizzard fix this.
useCombatLogFiltering provides a huge perfomance boost over default behavior, which would be to listen only to UNIT_AURA event.
UNIT_AURA doesn't tell what exactly changed and every time addon had to scan current buffs/debuffs,
In raid combat unit_aura sometimes fired up to 8 times per second for each member with all the stacking trinkets and procs.
useCombatLogFiltering option moves this process mainly to combat log, where we can see what spell was updated.
Only if it's in our spell set it will update buff data for this unit.
The drawback is that it only works in combat log range, but it's big enough, and there's a fallback on throttled unit_aura (every 5s) for out of range units.
On lich king there was an issue, and maybe it's still present, that necrotic plague removal event didn't appear in combat log
and that caused glitches with boss debuff indicator. But that's a rare blizzard side bug.
Dispel idicators still work from unit_aura, so you'll see plague regardless as disease if you can dispel it.

How to change skin layout from config?
So to customize frame elements, you'll have to create a custom skin, inherit default skin stuff and then add to/change it. Easy...

hi, still some vehicle bugs... sometimes I have to /reload ui to fix the green border that will remain there forever and not showing the real HP of the person even tho he already dismounted or /left the vehicle.

I've added pet group in 2.0.7, and i remember making some fixes for vehicles too. If you're still having issues with vehicles, report the exact dungeon/quest/bg where it happened and where you was before. Anyway on my little testing bg runs i haven't encountered anything yet

Pet group is limited to 5 units and using separate anchor. You may want to keep it disabled, and just use /apt createpets command to load it whenever you need it (OOC).

updated to 2.0.7 worked fine, then early morning I saw an email that another update is out 2.0.8, updated to that one, and the grid as a whole is not showing, Think its not working for some reason

Try enabling "Display Lua errors" and reload ui to see if there's any errors.

I just gave it a guess from my part after reading it, and after disabling this line from my userconfig it got working again...

why aren't pet frames colored green, all of them, some of them colored like warriors, and some colored like mages. the warlock pet is colored like a mage.


also another thing if you can fix is, resize pet frames when I join large raids, they dont seem to resize and remain big.

I thank you so much for updating this awesome addon, i got another request if you like to add it xD a double resize, just like in freebgrid if you know what i mean, 2 resizes, normal is my normal scale, then if more than 24 in raid, it resizes to 0.8, then if more than 34 in raid it resizes for 0.6 for example, and its up to me to set the number and the size for it, if you know what i mean, same as what we have now, but another resize option for (if have 40man raid) etc. thanks

There still seems to be a couple bugs when interacting with vehicles. I've had better luck with it in the few battlegrounds I've run; however running heroic deadmines earlier yielded a few problems.

- When the reaper units die from their debuff they kick the player from the unit and show the player as dead until the player takes damage. Sadly I don't recall if they showed buffs/debuffs, I just know they showed as dead.

- When a player exited a cannon on the ship ( note: not sure if the cannon died or if the player just exited ) the player showed no green border, meaning for me they exited the unit, but the problem was they didn't show buffs/debuffs nor the selection reticle.

Are there any class restrictions on displaying debuffs? I've been trying to get magical debuffs displayed on friendly raid members on my warlock (for the imp's Singe Magic ability), copying the exact same code from my paladin, but it doesn't appear to be working.

Changing group direction

Is there any way to get the groups to grow downwards ?

Grp1
Grp2
etc.

Tried to change this around but the groups refused to move

config.groupGrowth = "TOP"
config.groupGrowth = "BOTTOM"

yielded the same result

iirc separate group anchors are enabled by default. either disable them first for groupGrowth to work, or reposition them manually ( /apt unlockall )

Health deficit coloring.

I've been trying to change the color of health deficit. Looked at the older posts and found :

config.HealthDificitStatus = { name = "HPD", assignto = { "healthtext" }, healthtext = true, classcolor = true, priority = 80 }

and tried that but with no change. It's still green. How would I go about changing it to classcolored.

Ty again for the smoothest raidaddon out there.
