Aptechka is a raid frames addon.

Addon is customized with lua config file
You can place your configuration changes into AptechkaUserConfig/userconfig.lua to avoid overwriting them when updating. Reference config - Aptechka/config.lua.
There's still some basic options available ingame from /apt console command. like positioning.

What is UserConfig?
It's a separate addon that contains your personal settings.
Values from UserConfig replace default settings. That way you can safely update core module without losing your changes.
Or you can have 2 UserConfig modules.
It is also possible to add new skins as plugins, and switch between them depending on character class.

Lua knowledge is required?
Probably not, copy-pasting and changing values should be enough for most things.
But editor with Lua syntax highlighting will help you (SublimeText, SciTE, Notepad++). If you want to make your own skin you better be familiar with wow widget api.

What is priority?
When two or more actions assigned to the same spot are active, the one with higher priority is displayed.
Weakened soul is a good example. You won't see WS until PWS is still active.

What is "heal trace"?
That's when you want to know who exactly was healed by your Circle of Healing, Chain Heal, etc in the form of blinking indicator.

How to add new zones and spells for debuff loader?
Instances are identified by map id (assuming they have their own map).
To find out current zone map id type: /dump GetCurrentMapAreaID()
Map IDs are tied to instance name and instance name is tied to function that is pushing boss spells into your current spell set. More info inside userconfig file

What's that combat filtering option for?
Disabled until better days.
In 4.2 all autorefreshing spells (SWP-MF, Corruption-Haunt, Lifebloom, Renew-Chakra, etc) stopped generating SPELL_AURA_REFRESH event for combat log. So basically this feature is ruined until Blizzard fix this.
useCombatLogFiltering provides a huge perfomance boost over default behavior, which would be to listen only to UNIT_AURA event.
UNIT_AURA doesn't tell what exactly changed and every time addon had to scan current buffs/debuffs,
In raid combat unit_aura sometimes fired up to 8 times per second for each member with all the stacking trinkets and procs.
useCombatLogFiltering option moves this process mainly to combat log, where we can see what spell was updated.
Only if it's in our spell set it will update buff data for this unit.
The drawback is that it only works in combat log range, but it's big enough, and there's a fallback on throttled unit_aura (every 5s) for out of range units.
On lich king there was an issue, and maybe it's still present, that necrotic plague removal event didn't appear in combat log
and that caused glitches with boss debuff indicator. But that's a rare blizzard side bug.
Dispel idicators still work from unit_aura, so you'll see plague regardless as disease if you can dispel it.

How to change skin layout from config?
So to customize frame elements, you'll have to create a custom skin, inherit default skin stuff and then add to/change it. Easy...

Second line (text2) is not receiving color changes and always green for the sake of being always visible as it's got no shadow.

Well in short you could try
1) To move health deficit to text1 where it will work

will this code work fine? I haven't tested it as its not often to get into a large raid, but here goes.

config.resize = { after = 21, to = 0.9 }, { after = 31, to = 0.7 } -- ONLY WORKS with group
basicaly , resizing two times, first if more than 21 ppl it goes to 0.9 size, and if more than 31 ppl, it goes to 0.7 size, will this work fine? Thanks


P.S. pets are not resizing and colors are not fixed either.. at least for me, im in a raid at the moment, tested it

, and after awhile they just resized, all pets are warriors colored? how can i make them green, thanks

there's no error, but it won't work

pets are not resizing and colors are not fixed either.. at least for me, im in a raid at the moment, tested it

, and after awhile they just resized, all pets are warriors colored? how can i make them green, thanks
Guess i should test at least once... But unitframes can't be resized in combat, so they do so when it ends

Is it possible to have a reverse duration sort of tracking on debuffs? Specifically, it's easier to track Wrack on Sinestra by counting the # of seconds it has stayed on a player, rather than seeing the # of seconds left.

Tried Sinestra tonight with:

And it was still counting down like normal in the center icon.

for resize, if i put two lines in this pattern, will it work? basicaly i want it to resize to 0.9 when its 25raid, then resize to 0.7 if i'm in a 40man raid. like this

EDIT: after i updated , I think indicators are not working properly, sometimes if i hot it doesn't even show the indicator, sometime it shows it late, sometime it shows it and it never disappear. only after i updated.

Laggy updates

As a priest if I cast renew on someone and spam heal on them it seems that there is a fair amount of lag between the refresh/update of the anchor. Usually the renew doesn't show that it has been refreshed until it is nearly expired or several 5+ seconds later. I did not have this issue prior to the 4.2 patch, so I assume something has changed.

Luckily PTR is still up.
Turned out when you refresh Renew with Serenity chakra, SPELL_AURA_REFRESH event is absent from combat log.
And not just renew, but every other refreshed that way (SWP-Mindflay, Corruption-Haunt)

I'll upload new version with config.useCombatLogFiltering turned off by default.

Vehicles + Offline

Doing Grim Batol and there appears to be issues with vehicles again. I didn't have issues during 4.1 after your previous fixes. Now when someone jumps off a dragon nothing but debuffs show up. No buffs, no selection reticle, etc. Even upon death and resurrection it did not clear the unit so that they would show buffs again. I have not tested with other vehicles, I assume this is universal.

Also had a tank log off and log back in during the time of the instance and upon doing so he returned and appeared as always offline, never showing buffs, debuffs or otherwise.

oh damn... I don't know when i'll fix these

The offline thing occured after vehicles? Because simply going offline is very unlikely to break anything.

Correct, the debuffs worked flawlessly. They activated the borders, the icons and so forth that I set up for them. The buffs, renew, bubble, fort, echo, nor the selection reticle don't show up at all.

The offline bit was the weirdest part; I had reloaded my UI after the vehicle portion so everything was functioning again- I didn't think the offline bit would change, and it could have been just an isolated incident. I thought I saw someone else glitch out after DC'ing during Stonecore but they eventually functioned correctly. I'll try to keep a better eye on this one.

is there a way to hide blizz UI with this addon? everytime i join a raid, blizz raid frame shows and i have to click the panel of blizzard and click hide, everytime its annoying.
