    Have a significant other that plays WoW? A friend that you wish to drop (maybe not-so-subtle) hints to? A roommate you wish to play a joke on?


    SecretAdmirer is great for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because!


    Just install it with the rest of their addons. When they log in, they'll be greeted with the pretty message and a short sound-clip. The rose petals are animated (an in-game model). You may customize the message to personalize it, if you wish, in the lua file. It's at the very top, and you can open lua files in any text editor (ex. NotePad or WordPad).


    Mousing over the window will show a close button. The message will only show once per character. (If you wish to change this, you will need to re-enable the addon for that character. If you cannot log into their account to do so, then go to:

    World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<their account>\<their server>\<their character>\AddOns.txt
    In that file, find the line that says "SecretAdmirer: disabled" and either change it to "enabled" or delete the line entirely.

    Can I use your code?
    All use of my code separate from SecretAdmirer must be for your own personal use and may not be redistributed separate from the addon. SecretAdmirer may only be redistributed in UI packs, and any mention of the addon must point to this download page or my portal. You may use snippets of my code in addons you intend to distribute only after receiving permission, and credit must be given.

    Omg This is so awesome. I never thought about doing this, but now I'm totally going to get my BF to install it, (hoping he doesn't figure out what it is, of course) and it will be an awesome surprise :3 Thanks heaps for this!

    Quick Mod
    A nice quick edit that made it more useful for me is to change line 41:

    close:SetScript("OnClick", function() valframe:Hide() end)
    to:
    Code:
    close:SetScript("OnClick", function() 
				valframe:Hide()
				DisableAddOn("SecretAdmirer")
			end)
    This makes it so the addon disables itself when closed. That way it only appears once, and doesn't become an annoyance to someone who doesn't do much with UI mods.

    I love this addon, its very cute. But one thing I'm having an issue with, is that once it has been closed by a character, even if you change the message, it doesnt pop back up. Is there a way to turn off the feature of making it not pop up any more, or to make it so that when the message has been changed it pops back up again?

    /edit: and thanks. I'm glad to see that it's still working well. I actually keep forgetting about this addon. I should make it pop up for my hubby again.
