As of NeedToKnow version 4.0.0, I am retiring this clone of the project. please go to the NeedToKnow project page to download or comment on this addon.


I apologize to people who used updaters to keep up with NTK who won't automatically follow up on this. I may replace this addon with a stub that just prints a message on the screen to get the addon from the new place.

- Fixed: blink didn't work with weapon imbues

- Updated combat log hander for 4.1 (targettarget bars). Also tried to make it a little more efficient

I love NTK but I was wondering if there's a way to add maybe a "copy state" option where it copies that bars' conditions and allows you to paste them to another. Would make shifting your setup much easier. Could also copy over bars to alts.

Downloaded the latest update last night, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you for responding so quickly. FYI, I have to come to rely on your addon as one my "must-haves", along with the likes of Power Auras, Quartz and OmniCC. Thank you for keeping this addon updated!

See if 3.2.03 fixes that. 3.2.02 had a an issue for some people where it wasn't recognizing that a spec switch had happened. (a /reloadui would fix it) If you currently have both specs set up the same as a result of that bug, you may need to fix it once more. I suggest adding a new bar to the spec you log in with, then try switching specs, and if the new bar disappears the addon is working again.

The addon is overwriting configurations when I switch specs. For example, I noticed yesterday that all my moonkin bars were missing after I had switched to Feral. Switching back to Moonkin, I re-created the moonkin bars. Later, switching to feral, I noticed all my feral bars were now gone.

That's currently only possible in NTK by focusing that target and having bars set to watch focus instead of target. Implementing that feature would require NTK take a lot more CPU than I'm comfortable with. Perhaps I'll add it someday along with a warning that it's very expensive to do.

Is it possible to get - like the Sap and Gouge (Rogue) to be shown all the time and not disappear when choosing another Target

You can get either one, they're exactly the same file. The two addons exist on this site for historical reasons and I'll get around to simplifying it some day.

I had been concerned about losing one set of comments, but it's clear that using the comments as a knowledge base just doesn't work.
Don't get me wrong Kitjan I think you do a wonderful job. Not only with the addon but your communications with the users that use it. I just feel that you should really put your efforts into one singular mod to reduce the confusion. That way you can focus on just one mod website instead of two under the same domain. Also it makes tracking comments easier as they will be in a singular location rather then split between two

Its just a suggestion but one you don't have to take. Great work on an excellent addon.

Also I'm 100% sure if you removed the -updated- one people will still be able to find the other one. (They are both the same addon names )

I think the whole point about updated both versions of NeedToKnow is a moot point now. Maybe you should think about removing one. Having both updated with the same updates is a bit confusing for folks. I suggest removing one and just stick to updating one really.

This is just a suggestion as I don't really see a point in updating both anymore other then cause confusion.

If you need to remove a mod contact Cairenn.

I'm sure it would also make things easier for you to just update one mod instead of two.
