Mage Nuggets
Mage Nuggets is a utility with many useful nuggets to make the lives of mages easier.

--Moonkin:
*Eclipse Monitor and Cast Boxes added (See Mage Nugget Options > Moonkin)
*Cooldown Monitor for Starfall and Treants added (See Mage Nugget Options > Cooldowns)
*Custom Treant sounds and the stat monitor also works for Moonkin. The stat monitor includes all Moonkin talents, auras and procs and will display your actual stats in real time. You can use the default sound for your Treants or use your own. Simply copy a sound file such as a mp3 to your mage nugggets/sounds/ folder. Trim your sound to 30 seconds so it stops playing when your Treants expire.
USE: "/magenuggets"

USE: "/magenuggets"

Mage Procs:
You will be notified when you acquire a Mage proc via a proc monitor and combat text. The proc monitors track the duration of the proc and help you never miss a proc.
Examples: Hot Streak, Arcane Missile, Brain Freeze, Impact, Fingers of Frost, Praxis(Tier8 2x)

Portal and Teleport Menu:
Click the mini-map button to display portals, teleports and hearthstone. Teleports and portals can take up tons of bar space and this will fix that. If you do not wish to use the mini-map button simply make a macro with "/magenuggets ports" and drag it to your bars. This will give you all of your ports, teleports, and hearthstone on one hotbar button.

Stat Monitor:
This is not just a generic stat monitor showing your basic stats. It is a powerful raid utility and will help any Mage maximize their DPS. Staying in range of buffs and auras, timing cooldowns with incantors absorption procs, knowing if your target is affected by Torment the Weak and many other uses that the stat monitor provides are all vital to maximizing your DPS as a Mage.

*Buff Monitors: Pyromaniac, Torment the Weak, Improved Mana Gem, Arcane Power, Icy veins, Time Warp, Critical Mass. Also has a dot counter that will display the number of dots your current target has that will be combined with Combustion and spread with Impact.

* Spellpower: Displays your real time spell power helping you stay in range of shaman spell power totems, dispalys Incanters Absorption spellpower gains and any other spellpower effects.

*Crit%: Displays your real time crit%. When targeting a enemy it will display your crit% chance against that target including any crit debuffs. Helps to let you know if Critical Mass has fallen off or if your warlock is not keeping his crit debuff up.

* Hit%: Displays your hit rating including your hit from precision and if you are arcane spec,Arcane Focus. When targeting a enemy it will display your hit% against that target including any hit rating debuffs such as Misery or Improved Faerie Fire. Will display "capped" when you are hit capped against that target.

*Haste: Displays your current haste % including any haste buffs such as Black Magic, Bloodlust\Heroism, Icy Veins, Wrath of Air Totem, Berserking, Improved Moonkin Aura, Pushing the Limit (t10 2x), etc. Also takes into consideration the talent Netherwind Presence and any haste trinkets or potions. Very useful for arcane mages. Also helps you stay in range of moonkin and shadow priests for their 5% haste aura.

*Mastery: Adept: Displays the live damage bonus based on how much mana you have.
Flashburn: Displays the live damage bonus from your damage over time spells
Frostburn: Displays the live damage bonus against frozen targets.

Mirror Image Timer:
A timer will be displayed showing exactly when your Mirror Images expire. Your threat is neutral while your images are active and the timer helps manage when to drop your aggro. With the T10 4x bonus, this helps you know exactly how long you have the extra 18% damage increase allowing you to maximize your DPS.

======Proc and Mirror Image sound======
Customizable sounds for procs and mirror images. Add your own sounds or songs or use the default. Also works for Moonkin Treants. This option is off by default. Go to the sound tab in the Mage Nuggets options to add your own sounds or songs. Simply copy your sound file, such as a mp3 or wav, into the magenuggets/sounds/ folder. Trimming your sounds to 30 seconds is advised as it will stop playing the exact time your Images or treants expire.

Living Bomb Counter:
Displays the number of targets you currently have Living Bomb on, the name of the last target you applied Living Bomb on and the status bar and timer showing the duration of that living bomb

Slow Fall:
When Slow Falling a party member a editable message will be sent to notify them that they have been Slow Falled. Hardly anyone notices when you slowfall them. Why let such a wonderful spell go to waste.

Arcane Blast Monitor
*Displays the count of arcane blasts currently up and a status bar showing the duration of the stack.
*Arcane Blast Cast Time Tracker, Will display your Arcane Blast cast time and will display "Capped" if you manage to get your Arcane Blast cast time lower then your global cool down.

Polymorph Monitor:
The Polymorph Monitor shows your current Polymorphed target and the duration of the spell. You will be notified when someone breaks your Polymorphed mob.

SpellSteal Monitor:
*Displays stealable buffs on enemies that you have targeted. Some buffs were just ment to be stolen and this helps you find them. If you don't have Spellsteal on your bars, you will.
*Notifies you when you successfully steal something via combat text and the chat console and tells you what you stole in a linkable format.

Actual Shield Absorb:
Displays the actual amount of damage your shields can absorb. The amount of damage your shields absorbed is partly related to your current spell power. This will notify you how much actual damage a shield will absorb when you apply it. The more spellpower, the more damage they can take.

Focus Magic:
A editable message will be sent notifying the person you casted Focus Magic on. If a Mage Focused Magic you a editable message thanking them will be sent.

Innervate:
Displays who Innervated you and sends them a editable message thanking them for their kind deed. Druids need love to.

Time Warp and Bloodlust:
You will be notified which Mage or Shaman's bloodlust you are affected by.

Camera Zoom:
Allows you to zoom the camera out past the default range for maximum situational awareness.

Boss Buffs:
You will be notified when you acquire certain special buffs during boss fights.
Example:Storm Power(+135% Crit Damage):Acquired during Hodir by touching someone with the Storm Cloud Buff.
Example: Fungal Creep(+50% Crit Rating):Acquired during Loatheb by killing a spore at close range.
Example: Toasty Fire(Immune to Freeze and Biting Cold):Acquired during Hodir by standing in range of a camp fire.
Example: Aura of Celerity(+20% Haste):Acquired during Thorim when a Priest mindcontrols a Warbringer.

==== *NOTE: ====
Certain parts of Mage Nuggets require that the in-game combat text be enabled to fully function but it is not required for the addon the work. Only the core component of the in-game combat text is required for these parts of the addon to function.

Interface > Combat Text > "Enable Floating Combat Text".

All sub-categories below this option can be unchecked

*Fixed Moonkin nugget to work with the new mechanics

I concede your point, but your math is off.

Stacking multiplicatively means, with netherwind presence, your actual haste = Character Sheet's haste% * 1.06. With 20% haste plus netherwind presence (NP), that would give you 21.2% actual haste, not 27.2%.

I tested this with my own character. My character sheet says I have 19.88% haste, and I do have NP. A mouse-over on my Arcane Blast spell says it will take 1.97 secs to cast. I couldn't reconcile this with 19.88% haste (and was getting quite frustrated!), but then you reminded me about NP.

19.88 * 1.06 = 21.0728% haste

2.5 secs (base AB cast time) - (2.5 * .210728) = 1.97318

So in sum, yes, I forgot about the Netherwind Presence talent. Thank you for the correction. But your math is still wrong.
It is a common mistake sir. Your math is actually wrong. Remember sir we are multiplying percentages. If your math was correct then NP would be pretty much worthless considering its 3 talent points.

"19.88 * 1.06 = 21.0728% haste" <-- You are trying to multiply 19.88% without making it a %. Which is just adding 6% of 19.88 to itself. Remember 19.88 is a percentage. Move the decimal to the left 2 places.

You should be doing ((1.1988 * 1.06) - 1) which indeed equals 27.0728

"New Casting Time = Base Casting Time / (1 + (% Spell Haste / 100))"
This is from wowwiki, was posted on the wow forums and is used by every mage that I know as well as myself.

http://www.wowwiki.com/Spell_haste

For the cast time, the calculation is
(2.5)/(1+(27.0728 / 100)) = 1.967 which rounds to 1.97.

The Haste percentage that your Stat Monitor displays is incorrect. Just standing around the city, unpartied, unbuffed, out of combat, my character sheet says I have 19.88% Haste, while your addon's Stat Monitor window claims I have 27.08%. Quite a difference! If I'm trying to monitor when buffs & procs leave me haste capped, 7.2% is a huge margin of error.

On that note, do you or does anyone know of an addon that will track haste in terms of spell cast time? Rather than having to know percentage caps off the top of my head, I'd much rather have an on-screen display of how long certain spells (selectable) will take to cast, and how long my GCD currently is. I can get the info on mouse-over of the spells in question, but mid-combat I'd rather have it right on the screen without having to go find it.
Are you speced into netherwind presence? Which gives you 6% haste? The stat monitor should be 100% correct sir. Please double check your calculations and make sure you include any haste buffs or talents. The stat monitor is not a generic monitor simply reflecting whats in your stat window, that would be pointless, but instead your actual haste %.

Haste rating like what we have on gear stacks additively but haste% stacks multiplicatively and NOT additively so the more you stack the more benefit you get.

Say you get 20% haste from your gear. Then you spec into netherwind presence which gives you 6% haste. You now have 27.2% haste and NOT 26%. The more haste% buffs you add the more extra haste you get. Say you pop icy veins which gives 20% haste. You now have 52.64 haste% instead of 47.2%.

This is why it is wise to combine your haste cooldowns together because you benefit more from it.

Arcane Blast caps out at 150% haste. With icy veins, bloodlust, berserking, hyperspeed accerators, black magic, etc, you can cap it out without using a haste pot.

It is easy to see if your haste% on the stat monitor is 100% correct, The arcane blast stack counter has a cast time on the top of it which is calculated directly from the stat monitor. Check the cast time it is displaying then mouse over the arcane blast spell to see what it says the cast time is. If they match its 100% correct.

As far as knowing when your spells are haste capped, thats simple. When you see your cast bar get to 1 second, your capped.

First off... Great Mod, been using this with great success for quite sometime since Blizz fawked up the UI API
Even love the Teleport and Portal API window, saves SO much on Macro Space!

Been noticing a few things lately that have been driving me batty (usually it is doable, but ya know how that is hehe), like the Living Bomb and others not fully appearing unless I adjust the size of them after I hit "Preview Frames", even then, I cannot move them.

Ever thought about taking out "Preview Frames" with that strange timer and change it to "Toggle Anchors" or something like that? Meaning, all the counters stay up, allowing me to move them around my screen, keep counting down or whatever until the toggle is hit again.

And onto the last suggestion, since I mention Macro Space , you ever thought about adding more text space to announce to Party or Raid that X Portal or a Mage Table is being put down (Like the PM text for Focus Magic for example)?

Brain Freeze talent

No so related to this mod but maybe something to note for now.

To me it looks like Brain Freeze talent might be bugged. The buff isn't always consumed when casting FFB. I've got 3 cast off in a row several times now.

From the patch notes:

Brain Freeze: This talent now allows your next Fireball or Frostfire Bolt to be instant and cost no mana. There is a small internal cooldown to keep the Frostfire Bolt from immediately triggering Brain Freeze again.
