I'm working on a way you can use shared media to include localized fonts from the default client wow directory.

So this shouldn't be a problem soon.

For now if you'd like to use the "Default" wow game fonts for your localization, change the

typeface = fonts.."Accidental Presidency.ttf", to whichever the following would be:

Korean:
["굵은 글꼴"] = [[Fonts\2002B.TTF]]
["기본 글꼴"] = [[Fonts\2002.TTF]]
["데미지 글꼴"] = [[Fonts\K_Damage.TTF]]
["퀘스트 글꼴"] = [[Fonts\K_Pagetext.TTF]]

Chinese (Simplifed)
["伤害数字"] = [[Fonts\ZYKai_C.ttf]]
["默认"] = [[Fonts\ZYKai_T.ttf]]
["聊天"] = [[Fonts\ZYHei.ttf]]

Chinese (Traditional)
["提示訊息"] = [[Fonts\bHEI00M.ttf]]
["聊天"] = [[Fonts\bHEI01B.ttf]]
["傷害數字"] = [[Fonts\bKAI00M.ttf]]
["預設"] = [[Fonts\bLEI00D.ttf]]

For example:

typeface = "Fonts\\ZYKai_C.ttf",

Or using shared media linking (Not completely sure of this myself but feel free to try) :

typeface = Media:Fetch('font', '伤害数字'),
Russian fonts are:

["Arial Narrow"] = [[Fonts\ARIALN.TTF]]
["Friz Quadrata TT"] = [[Fonts\FRIZQT__.TTF]]
["Morpheus"] = [[Fonts\MORPHEUS.TTF]]
["Nimrod MT"] = [[Fonts\NIM_____.ttf]]
["Skurri"] = [[Fonts\SKURRI.TTF]]

this addon's functionalities are awesome!
like hiding/showing nameplates for some specific objects

however, i prefer the appearance of caelNameplates, cleanplates are somehow occupying too much space for me
I am really looking forward to what options you are going to provide for the appearance side

I really don't see how them being click able is useful anyway its actually redundant. You can just as easily click the mob itself as the nameplate and the nameplates have strange, sudden and sometimes erratic movements that are not even tied to the mobs movement anyway.
There is no way to remove the clickability of the nameplates from Tidy Plates since they use the default UI nameplates.

It is entirely possible that I am either or are currently going insane I am not really sure. But I was pretty sure that the nameplates were click thru and didn't catch mouse clicks. How ever I have just ran an instance and had one hell of a horrible time trying to target mobs manually because the nameplates are most definitely catching mouse-clicks. In a mass of mobs this is insanely hard to target the nameplates are all over lapping and the ones in front of the mob I want to target are obviously not the right nameplates. I think this is maybe because of the new overlapping nameplates thing from 3.3 anyway HOW can I make the nameplates click thru I don't need to be able to choose from a nameplate. And its making my tanking life hell.

This isn't a criticism its just desperation. Or insanity I am not sure.
Well now that the nameplates can overlap each other, the problem that can occur is that the layering of the elements of the nameplates themselves become jumbled between each other.

The health status bar, the cast bar statusbar, the texture overlays for the nameplate and castbar, mouseover highlight, and icons and indicators all have their own set layer. http://www.wowwiki.com/Layer

With 20 nameplates in the same location with the same targetable regions at the same layer, it's practically impossible to target the nameplate you're wanting.

I'm currently updating Clean Plates to have all of the Threat Plates' (check my signature) options which allow mob nameplates you have low threat on to grow much larger and thus making their targetable region much larger, also high threat nameplates will shrink and make their targetable regions smaller.

If you're wanting to alleviate the problem all together, you should probably just disable the overlap feature.

* added to bypass the auto double post removal *

As long as we're on topic of wish lists, I did manage to come up with another one. I tried ThreatPlates today and I absolutely love the concept for when Im tanking. The problem is, I really like the whole CleanPlates mod too! (small, supressible pet and totem plates are a godsend for pvping).

ATM, I'm unchecking and reloadingUI when I go back and forth between tanking/dpsing. If its not too terribly much trouble, if you could merge the threatPlates functionality into the base (Large for not-targetting me, smaller for mobs I have aggro on), that would free the end-user (ME!) up from having to chose a specific layout in order to get this fantastic functionality. A switch (perhaps a "Where do you want this to work" switch to disable it outside of instances?) could turn off the big plates for when you're not tanking and dont need the extra information.

I know you are probably trying NOT to have Tidyplates turn into a monster mod, and if you can put it together such that CleanPlates and ThreatPlates are non-exclusive that would be a great compromise.

Thanks again.
It's already in progress :P. Should be happening this week.

This way the clutter of nameplates in heavily mobbed places isn't so blinding. Yeah the blizz option for overlapping nameplates can help but this would help even more. Things would only really pop when i target something and even then only what i am targeting becomes "fully" visible.
The default alpha change is not alterable, however overall nameplate alpha will be.

Don't fret v2.0 will be out this week in time for your Holiday and will have much more features for Alpha settings <3.

v2.0 is in progress currently.

Some changes:
  • Text will now be able to be changed in font, and size.
  • EVERYTHING will have alpha settings.
  • New Threat Reactive nameplates!(PvE - Autodisabled in arena)
  • Disable all pets option: (PvP will include mirror images, only available in arena)
  • New Icecrown boss special nameplates for Lady Deathwhisper(PVE)
  • Saved Variables renamed and reorganized. (More just for better tracking for myself and future additions)
  • Other stuff I haven't thought about! (Suggestions? Some things may not be doable, but feel free to reply!)
