ncBindings

Version: 1.0
by: nightcracker [More]

BETA
ncBindings is a lightweight binding addon, and nothing more than that. It creates a frame in which you can drag your spells, and then bind them. Very simple usage, binding is really a breeze with this addon. Inspired by BindPad, but then light-weight. This addon can bind spells, items and macros to keys, to mousebuttons and to the scrollwheel.

Usage:
Install and go! Use /ncb or /ncbindings to bring up the bindings frame. Drag your spells into the slots and click on them to bind them. Right-click clears all bindings for the specific spell.

Is there a way to create more than 30 binds? I use 55-60 binds. I really like this addon over BindPad, but, if I can't make more binds then I won't be able to use it.

Loving this addon so far - fantastic alternative to BindPad.

I was fiddling around with bindings on my DK yesterday and noticed that after a respec, some of the spells (not macros) within the ncBindings frame had changed from what I had put there to something entirely different (the binds still worked properly, though). I haven't taken a look at your code yet, but I get the feeling this is due to referencing spells by their index within the player's spellbook, which will change due to the loss of talented spells after a respec.

Dual-spec switching support has already been suggested, but would you be willing to add global binds (i.e. character-unspecific) functionality as well? Drag-and-drop support for Equipment Sets would also be greatly appreciated, but not as big of a deal to me (using macros to equip sets by name is a clunky, but workable patch in the meantime).

Thanks again for such a great mod!

In your OnClick function, you do a check to see if click=="RightButton". The problem is, it never will be. I assume the function call should be "local function onclick(self, click)" if you want that to work.
Your right. I will fix that in the next update.

Just use snowfallkeypress for it. Bindpad doesn't have that function.

Is there any chance that you may definitely add in dual-spec options for the addon ? I have different key bindings for each spec and would switch to this addon immediately if dual-spec was possible.

- The Macro Text on dragged-in Macro Buttons in the ncBindings window is covering up other buttons

- Sometimes i have 3 times the same macro appearing in nc Bindings window?

- It would be nice to see the bindings already set on mouseover or as button text on the buttons in ncBindings window
