    These arent showing up for me, is there another seeting I need to have enabled to see them? These look like they'd be perfect for what I'm looking for but they dont appear to work

    You could try this:
    In your Grid configuration window, under Status -> Dungeon Role, click on the color selection for each role and change the alpha of each of the role's color to 0 (drag the vertical slider all the way down).

    That should make all the colors transparent.

    Setting the alpha to zero made the icon disappear completely. However, I just made the colour (which only effects the border, oddly enough, unlike the alpha) the same colour as my health bars - which accomplished more or less the same thing.

    Grid automatically shows a border around icons based on the status color. If you do not want a border (because your icons are non-square, or have transparent regions, etc.) you need to add ignore = true to the color table you pass to SendStatusGained. See the built-in GridStatusReadyCheck.lua for an example.
