Hey, check out the latest PT build. Dunno if that's what you're looking for, but it seemed like the best place to put the text.

After a few adult beverages, I've uploaded a new version.

Obviously, I worked out my personal issues. Thank the lovely Mrs. Tiger. ;-) It includes health text for Neon.

(sometimes I think I should just keep my mouth closed - lol)

I think people are interested in seeing the health percentage because some bosses like the LK will trigger the next phase at a specific percent (70%, 40%, 10%). In addition certain classes have abilities or talents that trigger when they or the target hits 35% health (paladins, mages, etc).

But that being said, I personally don't need to see it on the nameplate because I also happen to use a HUD that displays that info. Also, most UIs will stick a number on the unitframe bar. But I could see why some people would like a simple % number on the nameplate itself like in the Grey theme. It may not be a bad idea to put a % toggle for Neon if you are planning to drop Grey. That way people won't miss it so much. Otherwise, I think switching to Neon is a good idea because it looks very polished now.

Mob Life %?

So i really like the Tidy Plates..
But isn't it possible to get the Life of the Mob on the Bars like per example. Tidy Threat Plates, in %?
Or am I just to stupid to find the option?
Because i rely much more on the plate then the unit frames.
Or is it somehow possible to geht the debufffeature in to the Threat Plates?
Just asking. ^^

Two answers:

One, Thanks for the suggestion, and great idea! I'm working on a panel for Neon, giving the option to filter mobs by name. Other themes could copy this.

Second, the Public Test is never really finished, but you can get the most current "finished" version on the regular release page.

Development is slow, at the moment. Work and family come first, obviously.

The API would allow the author to setup a listbox. The listbox would allow you to add mobs to it. Then any custom data (color, nameplate size, visible or not,etc) thats unique to the mod using tidyplates. The rest of the api could easily fetch this data from the moblist. Also the listbox would have to be very easy to add into options without the author having to code up a lot of logic to add it.

Hi, just started using this and it's very nice. I'm wondering if you can implement an option to ignore friendly players though (using Neon-DPS atm), because i've never really used friendly nameplates and it just takes up screenspace for me.

Edit: Shift+V did the trick, seems some addon changed things around for me. Keep up the good work.

Awesome. I just tracked down all the SetPoint lines in the Widgets.lua file of the beta and added 20 + to everything and that worked swimmingly. Much, MUCH better. Thank you.

Ah.. I see, thank you for explaining.

Well, I hate to trouble you for your help again, but that gives me an idea - how would I change the clickable area dimensions to account for the offset of the artwork? There'll be a clickable area just underneath the artwork as well, but that's okay since it overlaps the heck out of the model as well anyway - I just want clicking on the artwork to still work.

Edit: Actually, it's probably config.hitbox, isn't it?

Edit2: Oh crap. Editing the hitbox height grew it in the opposite direction. Anything I can do about that?

Edit3: Ah, it grows it in both directions.. well, that's still workable.

Edit4: Okay, I seem to have run into a bit of an issue. I found out a pretty good method for doing this (doing a replace and replacing all instances of 'y =' with 'y = 20 +'). Editing the values of config.name doesn't seem to affect the name placement at all, and I tried editing the other stuff to see if I could get it to move a little bit, nothing doing. Well, I can move the text inside the addon, so that's not a huge deal. I can't figure out where to move the targeting border, either, though.

Edit5: Well, there's where to move the targeting art, it's in TargetArtWidget, but there's no offset variable anywhere. What do I have to do to create an offset for this widget?

Edit6: Curious, I added a line for this widget, frame:SetPoint("CENTER",0,0); Now the second 0 doesn't do anything (which would by y), but editing x works just fine. If you can tell me how to affect the y offset of this widget, I think I'll be good to go.
