* Rearranged and removed some old Hub stuff. Cleaning out functions, removing ancient code, removed items of questionable utility

You can fix that by adjusting the width of your name object. WoW automatically truncates and adds ellipses (...) to a string that is too long to be displayed in a frame.

Oh ok sry my fault,

i have an other question : How i can clean the 3 dots behind the names if the name is too long?

for example: shinx is wait...

If you are in combat
im not in combat i run around in dalaran with friendly nameplates on , look at screen

Which theme are you altering? Or, is it a custom theme?

One thing to note: If you are in combat when the plates appear, the hitbox may not change size (It's a restriction by the Blizzard client)

on the screen you see the hitbox with settings width = 50, height = 35 you will see this doesnt work

I also noticed the threat bar gets obscured by the aura widget. Might have to do some creative repositioning there to fit them both cleanly.

The name text issues are ThreatPlates; The name text is handled by a custom widget. That widget is repeatedly created, as the Initialize function doesn't check to see if it already exists.

TidyPlates_ThreatPlates\Widgets\Widgets.lua, line 24+:

... should correct the name text issues.

Not sure about the laggishness. That might be caused by that widget memory leak+garbage collection.

It's actually my fault, though; I changed Tidy Plates so the OnInitialize function gets called every time a plate is shown (rather than just when the plate is created; the frames are recycled), reducing the need for the OnUpdate function to check for the existence of the widget. aaand, of course, I was tired and "forgot" to post the changelog.

Tidyplates 5.11 causing some weird name text issues with tidyplates threatplates beta 3.0.10. I think name of other mobs are stacking on top of new targets.

When I switched back to tidyplates 5.10.4 the problem went away. Not sure if 5.11 was the reason I was getting some serious fps lag. I'll know if that problem went away or not.

As usual, Kat explains it just as good (if not better) than I could ;-) I should put him on the payroll..

The only thing that Tidy Plates polls for is new nameplates. Every other update is driven by some event.

It's funny, because there's highly noticeable server lag when capturing certain events, especially UNIT_AURA and UNIT_THREAT_SITUATION_UPDATE.

It's possible to force Tidy Plates to poll full updates by creating a frame with an onupdate handler, which called the global TidyPlates:Update() function. Yickes!

In any case the debuff will appear relatively quickly if I keep the mouse over the target. I assume the game is firing mouseover checks by itself at some frequency. Dunno exactly how it works.
There are actually quite a lot of things that can "update" a nameplate:

When you enter a zone, enter or leave combat, change target, mouse over something, something receives a raid target, or a unit gains a level. Depending on the widget (ie combo point) they may have specific updates.

Ah I had suspected as much. It's just a minor quirk I noticed and not a big deal at all. Overall I love the new feature! And the decision to preserve CPU cycles was the right one.

In any case the debuff will appear relatively quickly if I keep the mouse over the target. I assume the game is firing mouseover checks by itself at some frequency. Dunno exactly how it works.

In order to reduce the amount of cycles the addon uses, nameplates / widgets update when you mouse over the nameplates.

If the widget could some how monitor combat logs they could update more accurately.

Combo points okay

I actually like the combo point widget okay. The contrast to the slim bars is quite nice, although the pie shaped points took me a while to get used to.

For a while, though, it seemed like the combo point widget wasn't updating correctly in comparison to the combo points on my unit frame. I'll have to pay closer attention to see if that's still the case or not.

All in all, nice job. Thanks for the addon!
