Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.3

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

I found out why that happens, see http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...52&postcount=3. If you run the following CVAR command, friendly NPC nameplates show again:

Code:
/run SetCVar("nameplateShowFriendlyNPCs",1)
I will take a loot if it's possible to add that to ThreatPlates based on the configuration.

Hm, headline view is still configured with TidyPlatesHub. Most of the time when I thought something was wrong, it was some config option there. I do not really understand the situation in which you get the unexpected result. Could you post a screenshot?

Ok, did a quick check. I now can reproduce that effect (I had Other nameplate addons show the same behaviour, right? Most of the time I have NPC names/nameplates disabled, so I don't know if that's a new behaviour with 7.1 or if it was that before.

I finally found how to solve this by looking into Blizzard's implementation of their nameplates. I will fix the issue in the next release 8.2.4

Do you have the threat system enabled? Right now, this overwrites tapped color. Is the nameplate color grey if threat colors are disabled?

In Legion, it's somehow hard to test as there seem to be not a lot situations with tapped mobs ...

Unless you want stretched textures and elements not lining up, scaling is the best you can do with how Tidy Plates creates nameplates.

Yeah, that's a pretty dumb error on my side and easy to fix. I don't get that error though, which I do not understand. I will post an updated version.

I meant TidyPlates 6.18.8. With previous version of TidyPlates, especially 6.18.5, this error will happen as the Cooldown frame isn't available there.

I really should implement a check for the TidyPlates version available as it just isn't that obvious.
