Tidy Plates: Threat Plates

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

Features:
SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.

Ace3 profiling.

Low memory footprint.

Threat system management.

Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.

Customizable widgets.

Customizable totem nameplates.

Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

Commands:
/tptp - Displays options.

/tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.

/tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.

/tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.

/tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.

/tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. ToC Update for 5.1, there are no issues with Threat Plates with this patch. Only Tidy Plates for the moment.

Finally really looked at what was causing the talent gathering issues.
Talents will now update dynamically instead of only on login.

The thing is, all other themes seem to work and I can just barely make out a tiny outline of the actual nameplate when zoomed in. I have tried resetting to default and reselecting Threat Plates, reinstalling (manual and Curse) as well as repair + deleting all Tidy Plates related files in the WTF and SavedVariables folder (account and the other). I have asked several times in trade chat and besides a post I found on the US battle net I haven't found a single person with an issue similar to mine. Any help would be much appreciated as I love this addon and can't tank without it Update: The bars appear and work at random while in instances which is good, but this makes configuration impossible since I can't just ask people in the instance to wait while I change my settings and they don't show when out of instances. At the moment I have a problem with how the aggro healthbars work. The health bars turn red instead of green when I have aggro on mobs. I did check my settings and in the "threat system" tab I have set correctly my dual spec role primary for tanking and under "coloring" option it is set correctly : low threat = red and high threat = green and medium threat = yellow. Is there an option which I have missed? For my interface I use Lui v3. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance. Rakash

This GREATLY reduces the chance of tainting the glyph/talent UI. STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS essencially = 4. During wrath most authors put 3 and during wrath it helped. But in 5.x it seems even using 3 causes problems. using 1 or 2 DEFINITELY causes problems. threat plates is usin no index so it's absolutely tainting. This is obviously still a blizzard issue. But if all addons try to stick to 4, or STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS it goes a long way to stabalizing the UI why you use STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS instead of 4. Same reason using STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS vs 3 in wrath was better. because now all the mods that used 3 instead of STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS are out of date and broken again. the mods that used STATICPOPUP_NUMDIALOGS automatically will always use the highest possible index value currently supported ensuring the least possible of running into blizzard taints which start in lower index numbers Last edited by MysticalOS : 12-14-12 at 08:36 PM.

The class icon is either cached by mouseover class identification (ie the friendly caching) or by the monk color in the nameplate (unit.Class provided by tidy plates core) which if it's giving the wrong return won't display monk icons.

If ingame option of tidyplates won't work for you...
go into TidyPlates and open TidyPlatesPanel.lua
Open it with a text editor and search for "defaultPrimaryTheme" (its in line 12) and replace this code
