Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.2

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

"might" is "definitely will".

The "breakages" were on purpose, actually. I finally bit the bullet and made some theme format changes that I've been putting-off for a long time.

Kat'll have to update Threat Plates to this slightly different format.

When a mob is sheeped, its nameplate and raid mark disappear completely. If I turn off nameplates ("V" key), the name and raid mark appear. Is it a bug or setting?

Healer Theme?

Is it possible to alter Threat Plates to have a Healer Theme?

Basically instead of changing based on 3 levels of threat on hostile plates, it could change based on 3 levels of HP% Remaining on Friendly Plates allowing healers to visually identify who is in most need of attention.

For DPS 3 levels of HP% Remaining on Hostile Plates would allow them to more easily identify focus targets.

It could be that 'Display Aggro Warning' is turned off. It's under the Blizz interface panel under Display or Combat (I can never remember)

Seems reasonable enough, although it's one of those features that I've gotten very used to relying on from my old nameplate addon. I look forward to tidyplates implementing it.

It's not so much "intended behavior" as it is "the built-in behavior". Tidy Plates itself inherits the capabilities (and many limitations) of the default nameplate system. The default nameplates do not show cast bars for non-targeted units, so Tidy Plates does the same. Non-target cast bars are a feature which a few other nameplate addons have implemented (to various stages of success; it's a difficult feature to add), but that feature is still under-development for Tidy Plates. When Tidy Plates gets it, Threat Plates will inherit those capabilities.

The castbars only show if you're targeting the player/mob as the cast starts. If you target somebody mid-cast, the castbar doesn't show. Is this intended behavior? And if so, is there any chance of this being corrected in a future build? It's somewhat gamebreaking if you're trying to interrupt players while changing targets.

2 questions:

-Is it possible to see castbars for mobs that aren't targeted? Or is this not possible due to a limitation in the game?

-Any chance an option to disable the threat module when not in party/raid can be added?

Thanks
