Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.3

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

4.0-a beta. Almost 100% sure its the latest beta version.

Thanks for looking into this, I love the mod and don't really find any of the other available nameplate options show what I want as a tank as well as tptp does.

Edit: Ok it appears to be an issue with the interaction of TPTP and LUI.
Other skins + LUI -> no problem
TPTP + LUI -> (both with built in enabled/disabled) FPS crash, latency spike in the range of 2.5k ms persistent through hiding of nameplates.

as do I, but every error I get is from an LUI module. Tried it again just now.
Turned of LUIs tooltips, and plates, turned on TP, and got an error from LUIs Datatext module. Before that it was the tooltip module

edit
that said, the neon skin doesnt give errors

When I disable his module, which is fine cause he intended it to be so you have freedom to choose, and I enable Tiday Plate TP the second I see the name plate above a mob everything goes out of whack.
  • I can't access the LUI panel none of the panels are working.
  • I can't see say chat
  • I can't see my own buffs anymore
  • Basically a nightmare

My question is what could TP be doing to disrupt LUI in such a harsh fashion. The only error I get is:

[string "<unnamed>:OnShow"]:4: attempt to concatenate local 'name' (a nil value)
Count: 1

Call Stack:

[string "*:OnShow"]:4: in function <[string "*:OnShow"]:1>

I suppose that I would have to change the translation of the mobs name somewhere (e.g. "Drudge Ghoul" would become "Ghulsklave") but as my Lua - Fu is not the strongest I can't seem to find the right place.

Any directions would be a blast!

P.S.: I would offer German translations in return if that would be of interest
The names are in 2 different places in the Lua. The place where it matters most is in the "UniqueIconWidget.lua".

Here in this file is the list of names and their references to their icon name.

Changing their names here would be what you'd change for functionality.

Also in the options.lua The options are labeled in English, but otherwise do not prevent the changing of the nameplates due to the icon name referencing.

Set the "alpha" or transparency of the colors under "Namplate Options".

This should set them invisible.

Getting this error, not sure if its caused by Tidy Plates, or threat plates, so I'm just gonna post it in both locations.

I have Tidy Plates and Threat Plates installed but the nameplates aren't changing to the Threat Plates you see in the pictures. They are staying as if I just have Tidy Plates installed. How do I fix this?

EDIT: Had 3.0.4 installed and not the 4.0 Beta.

Would it be possible to add something that allows us to change the size (height mainly) of the cast bar? I know we can change the text but its the bar I need to see more.
